I did a similar series of photos in another post, but here are some with areas of Epic Universe’s Dark Universe where it makes you feel like you’re exploring parts of it alone.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT How come Universal Orlando is the only resort without Waterworld?

Some Universal UK art is coming out and it shows Waterworld in the concept art and it always makes me wonder how come Orlando is the only resort without it? When it opened in Hollywood Universal only had 2 parks in Hollywood and Studios Florida, since then Islands and Epic have opened in Florida and new resorts got it in Japan, small Singapore that chose Nintendo World over Potter, Beijing, and now UK just makes me curious. How come we never got it?

I assumed the water table here might be a reason why but I’m curious to hear other reasons

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS Thinking of making the jump to Universal Creative after working at Disney — any tips?

Hey all! I'm looking into applying for some roles at Universal Creative. I've been at Disney Bubble for five years and was pretty committed, but I see some roles I’m interested in and am thinking about making the jump. I wanted to pick your brains.
If anyone here has gone through their hiring process or currently works there, I’d love to hear your thoughts:

- What is the application and interview process usually like?

- What do their recruiters prioritize on resumes or portfolios?

- Any general advice or things you wish you knew before applying?

- I'm going to school, so any tips for the intern hiring process?

I appreciate any insight you guys can share!

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT No more single riders

Was curious why all the single rider lines were not open today, they stated that they were probably going to be phasing single rider lines out of the park by the end of next year. Kinda lame imo.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Babies and HHN - Just get a sitter or nanny

Thumbnail gallery

TL/DR: Out of state HHN fan used a local nanny service to do HHN. Expensive but worth it. No baby was actually at HHN. Not affiliated, just sharing this review in case it's helpful for other people. Pics as proof.

Info

My wife and I did our honeymoon at UOR for HHN 9 years ago this coming Monday. We had such a great time, we made a promise to each other that we'd go back every year. As out-of-state UOAPs, going to UOR on semi-frequent basis is hard but doable with sufficient planning, and budgets.

But the 2026 HHN season was going to be our hardest yet as we just had a baby. Our child would be roughly 3 months old during our HHN trip, and since we aren't local, we can't just get friends or family to watch her.

We ended up using the Kids Nite Out babysitting/nanny service. Essentially, you request certain days and times, and a nanny comes to either your hotel room or with you inside the parks to help with childcare. For our baby and since it was the very not-baby-friendly HHN, we obviously went with the in-room option.

Prep

We booked a 2 queen at Royal Pacific with UOAP rates about 6 months in advance. We selected Royal Pacific as 1) the room was a little bigger and 2) it was walking distance to the parks plus boats, so worse case, we were a ~15 minute walk in the event of emergencies. I would do RP or possibly Sapphire Falls next time.

Staff at the hotel and restaurants were extremely helpful with the young baby. The hotel was spacious and quiet in a way Endless Summer is not. We also had many fellow RP guests offer to help, which was lovely to see. Legitimately kind offers by nice people.

We also rented a Snoo (motorized rocking crib) via BabyQuip, plus brought our Nanit baby monitor so we could see & hear the baby & hotel room in real time while at HHN.

Additionally, we used a black car pick up service from MCO to Royal Pacific so we had a baby car seat. I do not recommend Grayson, and might post a seperate review for this later.

We also brought a ton of baby supplies, including single use formula bottles and other things to make sure the baby was prepared and ready.

The Sitting

The nanny was early every day. She was professional, pleasant, and wore a nametag plus a custom polo to identify herself. She brought a bag of toys, kept very detailed notes for each day, and was very prompt with texts and calls throughout the day.

The nanny texted and shared pictures throughout the entire time, so we could see how they were doing. I'm a little surprised she ordered so little food at the hotel, we encouraged her to treat herself with room service as a small token of our appreciation.

During our trip, we had a few things go sideways and the nanny was great in accommodating. Nothing too major but as a good PM will tell, you can't prepare for everything. For us, our rented crib broke and the nanny helped to make sure we got a replacement 2 hours later. Huge peace of mind.

Price for Sitting

Price for 1 child was $35/hr, 4 hrs min. Not included was food via room service, parking fees for the nanny, and tips.

We ended up using the nanny service from ~2pm-3am on Thursday, & ~2pm-3am for Friday for HHN, plus ~10am-1am on Saturday for Epic/Epic Nights.

The total for all was roughly ~$1,800, including a ~$250 tip across the 3 days. Not cheap but we had extended times for the trip.

If you want a quicker date night or shorter HHN for 1 night only, it would obviously be much cheaper.

This ultimately was the only way we could make sure our baby was safe, happy, and having a nice vacation for herself while we could enjoy our anniversary HHN trip ourselves. So the peace of mind was well worth the cost.

Overall

Would I do it again? Yes, but hopefully when the baby is older and easier to care for, I might have my in-laws just watch her. Or possibly pay to have the in laws join us in FL. For 2026 HHN, this was basically our only realistic option this year cause there was no way I was bringing the baby to HHN with us.

And not gonna lie, see pics of our happy baby smiling in her pumpkin stroller at Royal Pacific while in line at HHN was lovely to see.

See you in the fog! Just without a baby!

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS My idea for what could replace fast and furious supercharged.

A Harry Potter knight bus attraction with a queue themed to privet drive.

You walk in the building and suddenly you’re outside at night in the backyard of the house you snake your way through the house and out the front door down the street to the bus

The bus uses the same ride system that the train does just on a bigger scale.

6 separate ride experiences happening simultaneously.

Depending on what level of the bus you sit on youll get a different POV and whether you’re sitting on the left side or the right side.

The ride will have a moment where the bus thanks to a special floor and roof will actually get smaller like in the film

The story will be a standard death eaters are trying to attack the bus on brooms and Harry Ron and hermoine will have to stop them and maybe a moment with the flying motorcycle

Is it a good idea or a bad one?

HHN Hhn on Thursday

Hey I was curious on how hhn is on Thursdays typically this year. I know you can’t really tell but for the people who go all the time what has Thursdays been like? I used to get the fast pass but now it’s too expensive for me so I want to make sure I can at least get most of the houses in. Is it worth the money this year?

EPIC UNIVERSE Powerup bands worth it?

I keep going back and forth about getting the power up bands. We're huge Mario fans but I keep seeing mixed opinions. We have 2 days at each of the parks so we have plenty of time. Thoughts?!

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Universal Holiday tour? Or wait for Grinch Character to drop?

I called Universal today and they have no idea when reservations for the Grinch breakfast will open up or even if it’ll open up. Should I just do the holiday tour instead? I wanna make sure my girl meets the Grinch!

The universal employee made it sound appealing and I am watching videos on YouTube and it seems like you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Suggestions please !

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT How would you tackle this schedule?

We have 5 days of park to park, with HHN on Wed and Thurs as well.

Landing on Tuesday at 10am, staying on property. Flight is about 6pm Saturday so let's say until 2ish we have time.

How would you break up Tues-Saturday to combat the least busy lines/match it up with HHN? Is it best to stay in studios all day during HHN or go somewhere else in morning and hop over around 1? I'm most excited about epic as I haven't been!

EPIC UNIVERSE I used to be a Disney gal...

Hubby and I spent our annual trip together at Cabana Bay Beach Resort 10/7 check in and checked out this morning. We scored Castaway building... woohoo. It was very convenient to the bus. We did the best our middle aged bodies would let us do without Express Pass for HHN Friday afternoon/night. I think my favorites were Sinners and Hellraiser with an honorable mention to Ozzie (RIP). Phantom Punch was perfect. Not too sweet and not too strong.

But now I get to the whole reason for my post. Man, Epic Universe far exceeded my expectations! We put our money towards Express Pass for Epic day. We had a blast! We rode everything and saw every show. I can't wait to go back with the rest of the family. I have so many other snacks I'm curious to try and restaurants to try. Das Stakehaus was my favorite supper. I had the chicken. My husband had the steak. It honestly looks like you can't go wrong no matter where you eat at this park. Well done!! I'm convinced Epic is currently the best park in Florida.

HHN How early should we arrive for HHN with Scream Early?

Hi everyone! 👋

We’re planning to go to HHN this year and have already purchased Scream Early tickets. We’ve got our strategy planned out, but we have a question about entry.

I’ve seen videos of people already lining up before 2 PM, so I’m wondering how early we should arrive.

For those who have used Scream Early, how quickly does the line move once they start letting people into the park? Is it worth getting there really early, or is arriving closer to the opening time good enough?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🎃

HHN HHN discounts for passholders?

I just got the Premier Pass and reserved my included HHN ticket for next week. Unfortunately, November 1st was the day I originally wanted to book, but it’s sold out for passholders.

Are there any discounts for passholders who buy an additional day to the event? (The website mentions HHN savings, but I don’t see anything.) Also, is there a good value on going for two nights? Thanks for any help!

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT What is the best year to apply to universal creative internships as a university student?

Is it worth applying while getting your bachelors or wait until getting your masters? How soon is too soon? Is there even a “too soon”? Other than the requirements in the description of each internship, what other prior knowledge and experience would you need?
