Anyone here had any success from convincing a prof to bump an 87 to a 90? Any tips?

Hi all, so back in college I was charged with reckless driving (had just gotten my license, manic episode, diagnosed bipolar whatever etc).
I graduated this May and was looking into admin jobs. I knew someone who was lucky and got hired because they were a student worker before so they had connections. They didn’t like their degree and couldn’t get a job in the field and ended up with an easy desk job (their words not mine)….and I’m kind of in the same boat now. I think most jobs on campus require master’s but I don’t plan on getting one, at least not any time soon.
So anyway, given my past how easy would it be? I’ve applied to 1 but I don’t want to get my hopes up/keep looking if there’s no point.

Has anyone had Professor Juliana Rodrigues Vieira Tkatch? I can’t find anything on RMP so I’m wondering if she is fairly new to unlv. Just read the syllabus and it’s all group based ://

Hi everyone! I’m Jillian, a student at UNLV working on a business idea for my entrepreneurship class. I’m researching how travelers and hosts handle groceries and basic cooking supplies in short-term rentals.
I’m hoping to talk with people who either:
For travelers, I’d love to hear about your most recent experience figuring out what was available, shopping for groceries, and deciding what to do with anything left over.
For hosts, I’m interested in how you manage kitchen supplies between guests, what happens to leftover food, and whether any of this creates extra work.
I’m looking for people willing to do a quick 10–15 minute phone or video interview. You don’t need to have experienced any problems, hearing what already works well is helpful too! I’m gathering firsthand experiences for my class project, and I’m not selling anything.
If you’re interested, please comment or message me and let me know whether you’re a guest or host. People from any country are welcome. Thank you! :)

I'm interested in the DEMSN program at UNLV, but I saw that the program is hybrid, with lectures online and labs in person. A girl on TikTok who graduated from the program said it was a good program and that it prepared her for the NCLEX, but she said you just have to stay on top of things.
Can someone please tell me about their experience with the program?
How is it doing online courses with in-person labs?
How is communicating with your cohort and studying together?
Did the program prepare you for the NCLEX?
How did you get into the program? What did your application look like (GPA, prerequisites, entrance exam, experience, essay, etc.), and do you have any tips for getting accepted?

What is Fin 323 like? What kind of assignments are there? The instructor next semester is Dritan Curry, who seems brand new, but if anyone knows anything about them that would be helpful too. Thank you!

We're halfway through the semester, and multiple clubs that I was curious about still have not communicated any updates. No social media posts, no emails, etc. since the semester started. I guess I would have to email the club to find out if/when they are meeting. Do some clubs just randomly discontinue for a semester and then come back later? I'm confused

The organization is called restored church worldwide. Multiple complaints have been submitted but yet UNLV will not take action regarding this. This cult is brain washing students and causing them to not finish school as a disciple. They offer you and harass and pressure you to come to Bible studies that each one ends in a verbal agreement. They twist the words of the Bible to their own agenda. The big leader is Kip McKean. These people are on the campus that aren’t even enrolled into classes but up there recruiting just so they can keep getting free access and taking all of the students money and defunding UNLV. Report them and be aware if approached.

When you take a web based class does it say on your transcript that it was online? And is it any easier or harder to get an A?

Hey, if anyone has found a UNLV Lied canvas bag with white canvas and red straps, can you contact me or leave it at the Lost and Found in the Student Union? I had my wallet, knitting project, food, DRC equiand my class schedule in it. Thanks.
Edit: I think I also had DRC equipment rented out to me for the semester. I already canceled my debit and credit cards. So, there is nothing to steal aside from the maybe $5 in cash and loose change. Please return my belongings. Otherwise, I have to get a new RebelCard and NV state ID.
Edit: I found the DRC equipment, bone conduction headphones for my hearing loss, but sadly I discovered my US passport and SSN card are missing. I am going to have to report all my identification as lost and get everything renewed.

I’m currently a freshman majoring in accounting and taking MATH 124. However, I took MATH 126 through a dual enrollment class last year and got an A-.
I was looking at my degree worksheet and noticed that the math requirement says MATH 124 or higher, so i’m pretty sure my MATH 126 credit already satisfies that requirement.
MATH 124 has been taking up a lot of my time since i’m basically having to teach myself. I don’t want to continue doing this if I don’t actually need the class. I’m currently taking 15 credits, so after withdrawing I would still have 12 credits.
My main concern is if withdrawing would affect anything if i’d still be taking 12 credits

Does anyone know why SEB (particularly by the Starbucks) reeks of straight sewage? It started a few weeks ago and has just gotten progressively worse.

I'm a freshmen and I'm debating whether I should get the BABS in Economics/Business Management or just the BA in Economics. I also want to double major in Politicial Science, so the BA leaves me with more electives to take those classes. Would all those extra business classes be worth it when it comes to job opportunities?

Hello!
I have a friend who doesn't use Reddit and is currently trying to choose between two on-campus job offers. One of them is working at the Lied Library circulation desk. I also work in the library but in a different department, and I have heard very little from student workers who work down there.
My friend is leaning towards choosing the other offer, but she just wanted to weigh her options. Can anyone provide insight as to what it was like working in circulation, good or bad?

So I'm in Math 181 and I'm having this situation where I am doing the homework and generating my own practice tests, but I am still scoring really poorly on my tests. Does anyone know if the math tutoring center or any other resource can help with this? I try to get my homework done ASAP and I am using the new Claude AI to generate similar questions, so I don't want to go to the tutoring center with absolutely nothing definitive to work on, but I really need help studying because I can't afford for my grade to get lower...

Im done
Im at the point in my college life where im beyond stressed than anyone could imagine. I'm taking 5 classes for my hospitality degree as a senior and im supposed to graduate in Fall 2027. My classes aren't terrible, but the work load is insane. Im specifically COMPLAINING about my HMD 401law class. It's like 10 plus assignments a week, not including the rest of my classes and my prof is the worst. She assigns all this shit and I don't understand a damn thing. I say that because law is its own separate language. I've asked the prof for help (online class and she never answers), my classmates for help, my parents, and no one knows. Before anyone says I should reach out to a tutor, im scared too and my life is very busy because of work and my other classes. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I fail the class. But just curious, if I fail a class (in case it happens, this will be my first time), will i automatically be placed on academic probation? Im kind of just ranting because I honestly am giving up on this class. It's not that I won't do the assignments anymore and I am trying, but if I fail the assignments and class, it's whatever. Any advice, comments, or input appreciated.
