Hello everyone,
Hope you're all safe and well.
Homeless guy currently in West LV with zero money. I'm down to my very last pair of pants... and they're starting to rip. Also, not having a second pair means I can't wash these now because I can't sit around in my underwear while they dry.
Would really appreciate it if someone could just get me one pair of 34x30 pants. I'm stocked up on most other clothing. All good on hygiene supplies. The shelter I'm in right now gives me two big meals every day. This is all I need and it would help me very much.
I'll be at the West Las Vegas Library today and tomorrow from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM. It's a safe place to make a handoff, with plenty of cameras.
Please let me know if you're able to help me out by leaving a comment or DM.
Really appreciate it. Thanks for your time and kindness.
Update: Case closed already! u/LeadingNo2673 and u/hvacfredo1996 have hooked me up. So crazy how fast and overwhelming the response here has been. Surprised but super grateful.
What an awesome community đ

Long shot, but this sub has come through before.
I was hiking the Wild Horse Canyon and Ridge Loop in Lee Canyon on Thursday, October 15, around 4:30pm. A small white off-leash dog named Marshmallow nipped my ankle and calf and broke the skin.
I'm not looking to cause trouble for anyone. I just need to confirm she's current on her rabies vaccine and stays healthy for 10 days. If I can't find her, I may need a rabies shot series that can cost thousands.
Description:
- Marshmallow: small white terrier, possibly a poodle mix, wearing a pink vest
- Owner: blonde white woman
- She also had a medium-sized dog that looked like a whippet
If you know Marshmallow or her owner, please DM me. Shares appreciated too. Thanks!

Just wanted to post this as a warning! On Tuesday 10/13 a man, who Im assuming was on drugs, came up to me got in my face and kicked me. It wasnât painful just scary and odd so I let it go and moved on with my night. I was on the strip last night 10/14 and the same man came up to me again. This time he pushed me, I pushed him back and tried to back away from him but he kept coming at me. My friend came and pushed him away from me and he pushed past her to get to me again. He grabbed on to my shoulder jumped up and head butted me full force. I have never had such a horrible pain in my head. After that he just walked away. It happened right in-front of the Flamingo so I reported it to security and requested the footage be sent to the police, Im also going to the station today to file an official report.
Description of the man: White male, shoulder length light brown hair, was wearing a red shirt and black shorts (both days), appears to be 30-40y/o, about 5â7
If you see him please be careful! Im not sure if this was just a reaction to me or if this is a reoccurring behavior of his.

UPDATE : Owner has been found!! In the process of verifying microchip now. Thanks for everyoneâs help!
Not âNSFWâ just sad. Sister in law is having her wedding at the Lotus House in NLV on Farm. We canât get him to come out of his corner but left food and water nearby so hopefully he can get some nutrition. Obviously with the wedding weâre unable to take him anywhere right now. Doesnât feel like heâs been out here for a long time, trying to figure out next steps.

When youâre buying honey at a farmers market or local pop-up, the prettiest jar is not always the most useful clue. I look for four clear answers:
**Where was it harvested?** âLocalâ can mean different things, so ask for the general region. A seller can be transparent about origin without revealing private hive locations.
**What plants were blooming nearby?** Floral-source descriptions usually reflect the forage landscape and season. They help explain flavor and color, but natural batches can still vary.
**What is actually in the jar?** Read the ingredient list and ask whether anything was added. Also ask how the honey was strained, filtered, or heated if those details matter to you.
**Can the seller help after the purchase?** A trustworthy vendor should be able to answer basic questions about storage, crystallization, and serving.
One more tip: color alone is not a quality score. Light honey can be delicate; dark honey can be bold. The best choice depends on whether you want it for tea, toast, cooking, or a gift.
What do you usually askâor wish you had askedâbefore buying honey locally?
**Disclosure:** I help run Desert Honey LV, a Las Vegas family business that distributes regionally sourced honey. Iâm sharing a buyerâs checklist, not a sales link, and Iâm happy to answer general questions here.

VOTE FOR MINJA YAN COUNTY COMMISSIONER OF DISTRICT F
Tax Increment Financing (TIF) does not increase your property tax rate. As an area along the light rail corridor develops and property values rise, the additional property tax revenue generated by that growth can help fund public infrastructure like a light rail. The tax rate stays the same. But because the property is now worth more due to new investment and development in the area, the area then generates additional tax revenue.
That additional revenue, the tax increment, can be used to help finance eligible infrastructure. So TIF district is not about raising the property tax rate. It is about using future growth in taxable value to help pay for the infrastructure needed to support that growth.

Got pulled over on Durango and Sunset. Also saw cops with a speed monitor on the bridge radioing in on who their colleagues should pull over on the 215 near Summerlin. They pulled over 4 people back to back.
Theyâre hiding!! Be careful!

I found CoolTech here, so I wanted to come back and provide a review now that the work has been completed and lived with for a couple weeks.
CoolTech recently replaced one of my 2 units, and I will call them again when it is time for my second one to be serviced or replaced. They were professional, operated with integrity, were never arrogant or salesy, and I feel like I paid a fair price.
The company is young, but well put together and I think they are locally owned and operated, rather than being part of a larger equity company - a huge positive for me.
They care about the work they do and it showed most when we encountered growing pains - of which there were three. But again, they way they handled themselves spoke louder than the issues they quickly corrected.
The initial transition was fabricated incorrectly, but they brought the crane back same day and made it right, without hesitation - even though it obviously sucked to have to do.
If I didn't request the static pressure and airflow checks that ensure the unit is installed to manufacturer specs, I'm not sure that it would have been completed. To their credit, CoolTech sent the approproate tech the following day to complete those checks, without hesitation. Like the rest of the team, he was professional and easy to work with.
There were a couple cigarette butts left in my driveway at the end of the installation - I used to smoke, and my house is old, so I get it, but im sure there are other homeowners who would be less understanding. I did not bring this up with them, because it is not a big deal to me - just 2 butts, but if I was the business owner, I would want to know.
It is important to operate with integrity, and based on my experience, I think CoolTech absolutely does and they will be my first call when my second unit goes, and I would recommend them to anyone who asked me.

I was quoted around $13,000 with financing to replace my ac unit for my one story home. Iâve never had to get it replaced before so I wanted to see if thatâs average or high.

Does anybody know of a place around Vegas where I can recycle a large amount of lipo and alkaline batteries? I have a bucket of them that weighs about 50lbs. Thanks in advance!

4 bedroom house I already have 2 other roommate's and a German shepherd in the house. Room is unfinished and have an open loft and under stairs storage area. 2 fridges so plenty of space for food. You have your own cabinets for storage large backyard. Driveway parking (garage is full). Must have full time job with at least 6 months of verifiable income. No couples, no kid's please. Pets ok with additional deposit (if they get along).

Itâs getting darker earlier and earlier, and clocks fall back on November 1, so itâs about to get a lot worse. If youâre wearing all black and crossing streets, itâs damn near impossible to see you. At least have some reflective materials.
Iâm not trying to lecture anyone. Iâve just had too many close calls lately where someone in dark clothes stepped off a curb and I didnât see them until the last second. Drivers should be paying attention, absolutely. But headlights only reach so far, and dark clothing basically disappears against a dark road, especially with glare from oncoming cars.
