This is the latest version of my '10-corridor' model for the Dutch train network! Thank you so much for all your feedback on the previous post. I have incorporated a lot of your feedback into this model.
Unfortunately, I recently heard that the NS has chosen a different design for their upcoming match—I'm very curious to see what they reveal the coming days! For now, I'll continue working on this project as an unofficial alternative.
My question to you: what does your eye as a traveler or designer say about the line numbers? As a test, I have now, among other things, added individual number plates in the southern part of the map. Should we weigh those individual plates against the extra visual noise? Do or don't do it? Any other suggestions?
In addition, I have the following plans for further adjustments:
- To distribute space usage in South-Netherlands more evenly.
- Experimenting with the use of rounded curves.
- See if there are places where a lot of information is close together on the map, and further optimize.
- Improving the specific display/alignment of components.
I would love to hear what you think!

I was converting old Publisher files, and I found a Chicago transit map I made 10+ years ago for an urban planning class. My idea was to expand the CTA (a.k.a The L) as much as possible. The map follows the design of the Kickmap where the colors of each branch correspond to which tracks through downtown it follows.
The map keeps most of the existing system, but expands it to include express trains on most lines. The big expansions in downtown Chicago include a Madison St. subway (yellow) and a Clark St. subway on the North Side (orange). There is a circle line (Line O) surrounding the edges of downtown (more or less the 312 area code) to connect everything, and a short line between the near north and near south sides to connect to Union Station (Line I).
The new branches follow streets with the highest bus ridership and continue them through the city. For example, the busiest single bus route when I made this was (and I think remains) the 79th St. bus, which is why the B route extends down that street from its trunk line. I tried to make connections across the entire city: North Side, South Side, West Side, without the kinds of biases that usually show up in hypothetical CTA expansion maps.
Finally, there is an express train to connect O'Hare, downtown, and Midway on one line. I had the idea of some kind of secure train where one could go between O'Hare, Union Station, and Midway without leaving TSA security. I'm not sure how that would work, but I'm also not sure how 4-tracking the middle of the Kennedy would either.
This map has about 290 miles of tracks on 27 lines. Is it possible to expand the CTA this much? Sure, with many billions of dollars and a can-do attitude! Let me know what you think.

This is my first rendition of a parody fantasy map, inspired by the memes over at r/TTC.
I know it's not much. I spent maybe an hour tops, and remixed an existing TTC map on Metro Map Maker. Regardless, hope you find this parody map at least mildly amusing, given it's my first real Reddit post (ignoring "test" ones).
They still haven't connected Line 4 across.

PKP Intercity is introducing a new system for organising long-distance services. Trains will run on fixed, numbered routes at regular intervals. The new system is based on lines, each of which has a specific number, route and frequency of services.
The symbol ‘Ex’ denotes EIP and EIC express services, whose trains stop primarily in the largest cities. On the map, all these routes are marked in red.
The letter ‘P’ is used to denote lines served by IC and TLK trains, with a standard stop pattern. The ‘Px’ designation, on the other hand, applies to IC services with a limited number of stops, enabling faster travel between selected towns.
All trains marked ‘Ex’ are commercial services with more expensive tickets for passengers. In contrast, trains marked ‘P’ and ‘Px’ are services subsidised by the state under the PSC scheme, where tickets are cheaper.

Here is my design for the Budapest metro system reimagined in the signature style of the Moscow Metro.
Key elements included:
Iconic Navigation Style: Clean 45-degree line angles, classic transfer rings (look at the Deák Ferenc tér hub), and specific Moscow-style font aesthetics.
Custom Icons: Integrated railway station indicators (Keleti, Nyugati, Déli) and airport bus connections (100E/200E) matching the Moscow transit design code.
Authentic Colors: Kept the original Budapest line numbers and colors (M1 yellow, M2 red, M3 blue, M4 green) but gave them the bold, smooth appearance of the MM map.
Let me know what you think! Any feedback is highly appreciated.

The 2nd page shows the current airport bus network.
For some time, I've been making plans for a completely renewed airport bus network for the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The current network only offers 2 crowded bus lines, one of which doesn't even go into the city.
I designed the lines to offer a wide coverage of the city while having a very limited number of stops. Areas not directly covered by the bus lines are still easily reachable by the existing metro or tram network.
The 2 existing lines also got some minor changes. Line 100E (100X) stops at Corvin-Negyed, allowing transfers onto the cities' circle tram line (4/6). Line 200E (101X) was extended to Határ út to allow transfers onto many more local bus lines.
There are also 4 new bus lines: 102X connects the airport to the northeastern part of the city. Especially that area has very bad connections to the airport currently, mainly due to it not having high capacity lines going into the city.
103X connects the suburbs of Rákoshegy and Rákosliget, which are located right next to the airport and are still very poorly connected.
Line 104X runs a bit south of the highway near the airport, as many local lines don't connect to the stops on there. Afterwards, it branches off and connects to Csepel island, where it also offers connections to the two southern suburban rail lines.
Line 105X is an optional line, it is definitely the least needed imo. Its main purpose is to connect the big long distance bus terminals at Népliget and Kelenföld directly to the airport. Otherwise, the main section is already covered by tram line 1.
If any of you have feedback, please let me know, as this is my first ever concept that I put some thought into.
Made with inkscape.

Hi everyone!
I wanted to share my personal project that took quite a long time to complete. This is a concept map of the Moscow Metro system by 2030, including upcoming lines like Troitskaya (16), Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya (17), and Biryulyovskaya (18).
I created the entire map using Intersection Controller. I started it a while ago, dropped it several times due to the sheer scale of the work, but kept coming back to it. I finally put the finishing touches on it in April 2026.
Hope you like it! I would love to hear your feedback or answer any questions about the layout and design choices.

Hi everyone!
I wanted to share my fictional metro system design for the city of Barnaul, Russia.
I used Intersection Controller to layout the basic structure and network routing, and then did all the final graphic design, labeling, and polishing in Ibis Paint.
About the system:
The network features a central loop line (Кольцевая) that links major transit hubs and crosses the river to Port Barnaul.
It includes an east-west main artery connecting the Airport (Аэропорт Барнаул) to the eastern districts.
The system is fully integrated with commuter rail (D1) and features realistic hub interchanges.
Feedback and constructive criticism are highly welcome! What do you think about the line layout and the overall aesthetics?

I made a network diagram for my Subway Builder Zurich network because the game just isn’t vale to do it properly. I have designed it on Stockholm’s style.
Please give me feedback!! Thanks
