Share Experience The day is approaching! (SRS)
After an eight-year wait, the day has finally arrived; I’m having surgery tomorrow—nervous, but very excited! ^^

Honestly was super nervous but a few pounds lighter, curbs , hips and chest coming in as well as my hair length lending itself to my new body really elevated my confidence! Not showing my face out of privacy though it is also seeing a lot of beautiful changes ! but I am very happy with how things are going and I just got the refil for the next 3 months! My doctor said we will increase my dosage on my next checkup so im very excited to see what wonderful changes are coming my way :)

It is crazy to me that it's been 2 years. It doesn't feel like it.
I'll be honest, I do not see as much difference as I expected at 2 years. HOWEVER - up till 6 months ago I was not on a theraptuic dose. My E was too low, testosterone wasn't adequately suppressed for the first 6 months, so I'm quietly hopeful for more changes now because - my most recent blood test was all good stuff 🥳
I'm actually going to add the blood results I had throughout these two years here, so that you can see my experience and levels and how that relates to my experience (past posts are available on my profile if you wish to see what changed each time I posted).
-------------
For context - I'm 33 and taking HRT prescribed privately through GenderCare in the UK. I started in mid-October of 2024 (when I was 31).
---
October 2024 - November 2024:
- 1mg Oestrogen (Estradiol) - oral tablet 1x daily
- 100mg Spiro - oral tablet 2x daily
---
November 2024 - February 2025:
- 2mg Oestrogen (Estradiol) - oral tablets 1x daily
- 100mg Spiro - oral tablet 2x daily
---
February 2025 - April 2025;
- 4mg Oestrogen (Estradiol) - oral tablets 1x daily
- 100mg Spiro - oral tablet 2x daily
- Oestradial (Oestrogen) blood test March 25: 222 pmol/L
- Testosterone blood test March 25: 19.6 nmol/L
---
April 2025 - October 2025
- 6mg Oestrogen (Estradiol) - oral tablet 1x daily
- 12.5mg Cyproterone Acetate (CA) - oral tablet 2x weekly
- Oestradial (Oestrogen) blood test October 25: 172 pmol/L
- Testosterone blood test October 25: 1.5 nmol/L
---
October 2025 - April 2026:
- 8mg Oestrogen (Estradiol) - oral tablet 1x daily
- 12.5mg Cyproterone Acetate (CA) - oral tablet 2x weekly
- Oestradial (Oestrogen) blood test April 26: 239 pmol/L
- Testosterone blood test April 26: 2.5 nmol/L
---
April 2026 - Present:
- Oestrogen patches - 100 micrograms 2x, changed twice a week
- 12.5mg Cyproterone Acetate (CA) - oral tablet 2x weekly
- Oestradial (Oestrogen) blood test October 26: 751 pmol/L 🥳🥳
- Testosterone blood test October 26: 1 nmol/L

Changes (20 months HRT - present):
I have noticed significant changes in the last 4 months compared the the previous 20.
Still not where I would like to be eventually, but I genuinely feel I look a lot more feminine. I think I am coming to terms with the reality that I am not one of the lucky few and am probably going to need surgery to get to where I feel comfortable and not dysphoric.
My face, my eyes, my body is starting to change in a more complete way though. I can't exactly explain what it is - it's just, it seems like it's actually doing something more significant now. My breasts are growing still, still somewhere between a b and a c cup, but not obviously because i'm a bit barrel chested. Fat is starting to be more noticeabke on my bum and hips (and I want to try and lose some of my pre-hrt stomach to make that more pronounced).
Not surpising that I'm noticing something more substantial now, given I was under dose for 18 months.
Mentally wise I do feel much more in tune with my emotions, I think. I was experiencing that already but I feel more at home in them - and I feel I am starting to look feminine enough that voice training and dressing more aligned doesn't feel as awkward... course that means I need to do more of that now 😅
If anyone has any questions I am more than happy to answer as best I can.
Em x

Came out at 33 during the lowest point of my life; three years later and I just get cuter, how the hell does that work lol
Well, I'm glad it did and continues to. Still not even close to mostly good days, but since starting, even with life not stopping, I want to keep going. I want to know where this really ends, and not where a sad man told his sick girlfriend that he didn't want to live past last year.
Cheers, chin up, and to life, my distant siblings.

Not fully out but I'm getting there. I thought I would also show off this cute dress from Zara 🩷

Heeeey!
So I am 30 since a few months and life has been giving me hints to finally transition soon, tell people about it and stuff.
Currently I am super uncertain if my body would even look good when having hormone therapy.. I am pretty fine with how I look from the front and the side, yet my back… heeeelp! If I‘d start e. g. by 31 do you think I could still become feminine? I hate myself at the moment for the anxiety I always had and not deciding to transition at 18 to 23 already.. :(
I am very happy about any help, impression, suggestions, experiences etc.

Today, I felt beautiful. Some days, that feeling is fleeting and sporadic. Today, I didn't have on fancy clothes. I didn't do elaborate makeup. Today was just me, my old beat up sweatshirt and a pair of jeans and I felt beautiful. Which is really hard for me.. Because most days I feel so ugly inside and out. I know i've talked a lot about my separation from my wife. And honestly, I feel like a broken record because these feelings just keep playing on repeat. I have been trying all day long to just get myself to sit down and do my schoolwork with the bare minimum of success. I'm in the middle of midterms, and struggling so much to just make things happen. My grades are fine. I'm not worried about that.I'm just recognizing the struggle that i'm going through and how difficult it is to just "do" sometimes. This is my, or will be my second weekend away from home and it feels like a lifetime. I know it's going to be a long time before it happens for me. But I wish it would stop hurting so much. I can't keep redoing my makeup.

It's been a wild ride filled with sacrifice, rejection, acceptance, growth and finding who I am more day by day.
I think one of the best parts has been finding community. Finding myself within the trans and wider queer community has been a joy. Especially participating locally. Helping other girls going through similar things to me.
I came from a place of profound loneliness and isolation to one of being surrounded by support and love. I am so grateful for this!!
I can't wait to see where the next year takes me and how I can grow and help others as well.

47F. Two years HRT. I thought I'd need top surgery, but considering my growth, maybe not?

I have started wearing dresses around the house more - I’m not ready to go fully into the wild yet though.
But today for the first time without really even thinking about until afterwards I went into the garden and took the washing in and went to the car to get my sunglasses. It wasn’t until a few minutes I even clocked I had been wearing a dress.
Feels like a huge step for me but I realise it’s not really that big a thing for some but I am painfully shy and avoid social situations as much as is possible and being outside just in general isn’t my favourite.
I feel quite pleased with myself and just wanted to share

I guess it’s not so unusual for older trans women to be torn between their family and finishing transition to full time as just me. Over a decade of secretly taking hrt and lying about it to my wife. Over a decade of our kids wondering when we will divorce and dad begin living full time as female. First two grandkids this year, and not certain I would ever be welcome around them again if I am living full time as me. Wanting to just be accepted and loved for being me. Tried the desperate attempt of purging again, after promising myself I would never do that again five years ago. Now I’m rebuilding all of my necessities and planning an appointment for a quality wig. Meanwhile, I’m beating myself up emotionally for again betraying my wife with my secrets. When will I ever get things right!?!

Just as mentioned, I'm shy of 4 months on HRT and biggest thing I can say is that I feel so much better. I can't wait for the one year mark 🖤♥️🖤
Edit: Started at 32 after having a meltdown on my birthday so y'know that was fun
