I'm a closeted trans woman and I want to start getting support the HRT and coming out to those I trust and things like that.
I don't need to explain to y'all that the wait-list for public health care is ridiculous and I don't have the money for private. So while doing some research I came across the Kindred clinic which claims to be made specifically for trans people.
So do any of y'all have any experience there? What should I expect / what services do they offer?

Hi everyone!
There's a lot of conflicting information on what status you need/how long you need to have been here to be eligible for a GRC. Can anyone tell me what I need as an EU citizen who's a university student?

So I'll cut this short but I'm desperately in need of help. I'm on testogel & I literally just got on the bus to the airport to go to France for 9 days. I looked in my bag and realised I left my gel behind. I am currently panicking and frantic. Please if anyone can help me or tell me what to do please let me know. My flight is at 2:10pm
Edit: Despite a lot of scrambling and phone calls I managed to re-route through the city, get an emergency prescription from a pharmacy, then grab a taxi to the airport. Tysm for the help <3

Hello, I’m transmasc but not interested in changing my gender marker to M (partially as I’d prefer an X marker but also since I’m femme presenting and having an M marker could pose safety concerns).
I’m trying to change my legal name using the GRC, will it automatically change my gender/is there a way to opt out of it?
I really don’t have faith in the government rolling out an X marker anytime soon but would prefer to leave the option to me to change in the future. Any advice?

Hi, I'm MTF and considering getting laser hair removal for facial hair. Are there any places in Cork that ye've had good experiences with?

Hi, I have chronic pain in my ribs and I believe the post surgery binding may heighten my pain, ontop of the surgery itself ofcourse, I'm researching surgeons right now and I am just wondering if anyone knows of a surgeon that doesn't require a whole lot of medical binding after surgery, perhaps from this list (common surgeons I’ve noticed Irish ppl go to)-
Irish-
Dr Ergin
dr jack kelly
Dr Niall mcinerney
Dr Slaman in auralia
Europe/uk-
Dr Miles berry
Nordsthetics
Dr serkan
Dr moscatiello
Dr lago
Dr lembas
Dr braso
Dr Lornen
Dr ioannos gkotsikas
Dr Mexis

PATHI and THA have resigned from the working group, stating that the draft model does not align with the values of their organisations.

Hi everyone, i'm a trans guy considering getting on diy T, but I was wondering if anyone has a general figure for how much it would cost monthly/yearly?
Would also really appreciate if someone could point me towards a discord server or other community for info 🙏 thanks

Im just wondering if anyone knows how tedious the process is, once you get your passport name and gender changed, how do you then go about doing the same for drivers lisence etc.
Do you have to pay a fee and basically apply for a new one for all of them?
Also services like mygov account, bank accounts etc

I deferred a place in college and will be going next year. Will there be any issues with the college or cao if I get a gender recognition cert this year? How would I go about informing them about it?

Hi everyone! I have a GP appointment coming up where I’m going to ask about having my bloods done so I can get my hormones prescribed - I already scheduled out time to get the bloods done, but I’ve heard that actually getting a GP to qualify tests as necessary is really hard for trans people
Is there anything I need to know about or do to make sure they actually get done? I appreciate any help <3

It seems as if the requirements may have changed and I wondered if there is a definitive answer?
Who should I approach to find out- eg best to contact Citizens Information/TENI/The GRC Client Identity Number?
In this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/TransIreland/comments/1x02jpw/grc_update_slightly_gone_wrong/
it seems that (i) proof of ID now must be sent with an application and (ii) proof of use or name over two years or Deed Poll ( which I thought wasn't being insisted on for a while now).

Hi, I’ve been prescribed Nebido, but I can’t find a GP who can administer it.
Can anyone in Cork or Dublin help? We can work something out regarding the price.

So I'm MTF in early 40s, despite a few disheartening experiences I realise what I have always known is that trying to ignore my body telling me that I need to transition isn't going away.
So I realise that despite not getting a prescription yet from Gender GP, blood tests are required for October.
And I must admit I am nervous. I did talk to my doctor very early in the year about this and blood tests. While my gp did say they could do the necessary blood test, it does leave me somewhat anxious as the time I saw them at the start of the year, was a really hard appointment where my doctor delved into lots of areas of my life.
Plus the practice has a new policy where you have to have doctors appointment to get any blood test results.
It might be good to have blood tests done, although in my doctors word, to paraphrase they said "they didn't someone so very healthy as me would want to go on medication" despite also in my doctors words being "so very very old"

I don't know what flair to put this under but I'm supposed go pick up my testosterone today! I'm excited but also really really scared AA
I was curious if anyone has ever had any issues with their hrt being refused or the pharmacists being rude etc etc? Just so I know what I might be getting into when I go to pick up my hrt?
