How much do you think Gus saw when looking into Belo’s mind?

Do you think he knew about Luz’s trip to the past? If not how do you think he would have reacted if he had seen it there?

Today’s the 4 year anniversary of Thanks to Them so I wanted to post one of my favorite scenes. I love Gus’s subversion of the witch trial and I love seeing Jacob get arrested.

I can’t stop thinking about Flapjack today though…

reeeeally stepping outside my comfort zone here, i feel very clumsy with shading/lighting. still have a lot to learn

Discussion Would anyone else love a prequel novel on The Collector's origins?

Thumbnail

IIRC, Dana said she was open to doing more novel's in the future if the recent one ended up being successful. I'd love to see a book all about the origins of The Collector and the Archivists. How they were born from the stars, them meeting the Titans, the Archivists wiping out the Titans, The Collector being sealed and maybe finally ending with The Collector meeting Belos. The Collector's such an interesting character despite only being in the 2nd half of the show and originally not even meant to be a part of the series, he genuinely just has so much interesting potential.

Discussion I Finished reading The Long Lived King Spoiler

Post image

What can I say except Absolute Cinema 🖐️😐🖐️

Still, I was not ready for the Emotional Bomb it was, since I cried reading something for the first time but it's Dana herself cooking so I should have expected that.

Before any further reading, I apologize for the wall of text, I just got a bit emotional while at it 😉

It's been a few years since the show ended and it returned with the novel and the feeling of nostalgia hit very hard and no matter how much long or old I get, its always going to be my comfort show, especially since it came around 2020, which was the year where the COVID-19 was on its way to change the world and staying home, I browsed some shows to watch, especially since I have been having a bad time of my own and that's when I came across The Owl House.

I didn't knew what to expect from it or if it was gonna be just another show I will watch and simply forget it later on, but Im glad I was proven wrong. I was genuinely pissed off however when it was denied a full Season 3, the 3 Episodes weren't bad themselves but still I wished for a full thing, but it was all good, nonetheless.

Then I found this subreddit which made me wanna watch it again to finish what I started (sorry but Hiatus is really painful, and this is coming from someone who came from Steven Universe fandom, since the Longer Hiatus was even more painful 💀), and of course, MoringMark Comics coming in clutch to fill some of the Gaps left in Season 3, because it definitely helped too.

But when I find out about this subreddit? I also discovered that the Novel itself was coming and of course, I was excited for it, and finished reading it yesterday and the wait was worth it, and made me genuinely cry, by the message it wanted to pass on.

Luz's talking to the Collector about why the Memories, Good or Bad shouldn't be erased, that's where I began to cry, because such idea of losing someone does in fact hurt, but it's more terrifying to forget the memories about them than losing them.

I lost my Grandma a year after I finished school in 2023 and I couldn't properly process that it actually happened, because she was there until she wasn't...I didn't cried nor went to her funeral (which I regret deeply) but not because of lack of empathy or not missing her, but because my mind couldn't process properly that it happened, until it did and I cried very hard after that. Much to my father's comfort for me telling about keeping in mind the good moments and memories of her (she was his mother after all, just like how she was for me sometimes. She taught me how to eat Bread.). And then my Grandpa's time came a month after her and once again, didn't went to his funeral either, I processed it this time but I still wasn't ready for the bit of crying i had while at it since it also came down hard, so yeah, both of them gone in the same year.

It's been 3 years by now but lately it's being a little terrifying because despite all of the rush I'm having because of university and job, but mostly university, I have been feeling that I was starting to forget about them, like how they were, how they look and memories between me and them, and that is in fact terrifying, regardless of those memories being good or bad ones, I don't want to forget them.

So yeah, Luz Speech to Collector hits hard for me, because of it. I do understand exactly what those lines meant and why King did wanted to erase his own memories, it's not just wanting to forget bad memories, but him wanting to forget the fact that he will outlive everyone he knows, his whole family he build during the series, Both Eda, Luz and the others but especially Eda who will not be there eventually for him and his mind during the book races with the thoughts that he will outlive everyone he knows and their deaths and being effectively alone.

Or in other words, Antecipatory Grief for someone who is still alive, which isn't very nice, because our lifes are infact very short, yesterday I was in school and today I am in university. Time moves very fast and we should enjoy the moment, and I think King should enjoy too because even if Luz or Eda have a very limited time of Existance, they are still alive and that's what matters: To Enjoy our Time with our Loved ones while they are still alive because life is unpredictable and anything could happen with us or them at any moment and that's why we must make every second matter.

So yeah, I think that's all I have to say, in the end it was a Good Book that in my opinion transmitted very well it's message for me as a Reader.

May Papa Titan answer our prayers and let Dana make more Novels to come by in the future because if Dana herself is reading this, let it be known to her: Dana, this Fandom's light is still shining alot even after the show ended and now even more with the Novel that you have made to us and it won't be extinguished so soon. Keeper Cooking D.T., Keeper Goin'! 🦉🦦☀️

Discussion If the characthers of TOH were in ATLA wich would have been their elements, and wich one would not bend, and what would've been their equivalent characthers?

I know that's a lot of questions but this has been really stuck to my head latelly.

I between luz being the equivalent to Aang , the avatar, since they both wanted to know and kind became master of all kinds of magic of their respective words , both being super enegetic, joyfull, playfull, and full of trauma since a youg age, and, even thouth that, they stayed beig the sunshine characthers, scaring the hell of us the the few times the really got angry, and I don't think I need to talk about Amity and Katara having the same você autor.

But in the other hand we have luz being the equivalent to Soka, a non bender, with both of then having a kind of an unadventage, being one of only ones in their teams/worlds to not have some kind of natural power, and, instead of making them weaker, it made the oposite, forcing hen into developing new skills that the rest normally wouldn't ust cause they ddidn'thad the need to, like them both knowing kind well to fight hand to hand even with opponents much bigger and more trained than them, or, even though their impulsives personallitys they knew very well how to use their big brains when needed, like doing some plans REALLY FAST, and kind of becoming the "lider" of their groups for that, like, they were not convencionally smart, but they were one of the, if not the, smartest person in their groups.

And we cannot forget all the other characters, of course.
