Cervical mucus, but no positive LH

• Upvotes

My last cycle was the first time tracking, I had a classic cycle with cervical mucus(that I only checked the day after ovulation so I couldn’t know for sure) and a positive LH strip, and a good progesterone blood test a week later.

I get between 3 to 6 periods a year.

I have had egg white cervical mucus for the last six days, most notably the last three days I have found a lot. However, my LH is still nowhere near ovulating.

When I got my estrogen test tested, it came back completely normal a few months ago.

How long do you see cervical mucus before you ovulate

Advice Needed First FET for IVF and clinic is insisting on Assisted Hatching

I'm really struggling with whether trying to argue with my fertility team about AH is worth it. I'm 27 (turning 28 in a few weeks) and am hoping to undergo my first round of FET soon. I went through 6 failed rounds of IUI.

My issue is that I received my treatment plan and assisted hatching is on it but I don't see it as necessary at the current time. I've done the research and read multiple studies and reports that indicate that there is no sufficient evidence on the performance of AH. Additionally, my insurance did deny coverage of AH because of this lack of evidence so I would be covering it out of pocket. Affording it isn't the issue but the out-of-pocket cost did play a factor in my research and decision.

With this being my first FET and my age, I don't believe its necessary but my clinic is being very insistent about it. I have 15 embryos and am willing to take the risk of failure.

The advice I need is, should I just give in and go along with the AH? What has been your experience with AH? Did you chose not to do AH and later regret that choice?
