Hi,
I am planning to go to Syria and was wondering if I can easily buy a Syrian simcard at Damascus airport or if there are eSim providers. So far, I checked Airalo and Saily. They don't offer eSims for Syria. But maybe there are others.
Any leads much appreciated.

Salamalakem Everyone I am 23 White muslim. Reverted 2022, my question I have to ask is in regard to marriage. Do Syrians lean to being more open to marrying foreigners or you they strictly stick to Syrians or people Levantine Decent.

Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, at a joint press conference in Damascus with OPCW Director-General Sabrina Dallafior:
📌 "We again firmly condemn Iran's repeated attacks on the sovereignty of states from Jordan to the Gulf."
📌 "We condemn the Houthi militia's attacks on Saudi Arabia, most recently on Abha and King Khalid international airports, which killed and wounded hundreds of innocent people."
📌 "Since December 8, 2024, Israel has sought to destabilize Syria through systematic strikes on infrastructure, occupying new Syrian territory in the south, displacement and arbitrary arrests."
📌 "The fate of dozens of Syrians detained by Israel remains unknown."
📌 "Israel supports outlaw armed militias in Suwayda, supplying them with weapons and money to spread chaos in the region."
📌 "We call on the international community to stop these adventures before they set the region ablaze, return to the 1974 agreement and let UNDOF implement it."

This might be a bit awkward but I'm 17 years old in grade 9, long story Short my parents forced me out of school when I was in Lebanon, recently I went back to Syria to continue my education and hopefully be able to achieve my goal with minimal years wasted of my life! After taking a Sbar successfully to get Into Grade 9 I'm stuck with 15 years olds but my focus is to pass This Grade then apply for Free Baccalaureate Exams(Since I'll be 18 years old) in 2027 so I'm planning to immediately Study for 5-4 months for the Free Baccalaureate Exams for the next year after passing Grade 9 grade, but can I? Or are there any Legal Blocks?

Hello everyone. I have a question about our situation. My husband and I have been married for two years and have kids, I plan to visit syria to see his family (he resides there as well) and my question is if I will need to pay the tourist visa fee to enter the country? We have proof of sharia marriage through Syrian court but we have a small paperwork issue in the internal civil affairs registry so we don’t have a family book yet, nor are our kids registered as his yet. (That’s part of the reason why I left syria and will be returning) Has anyone experienced a non-Syrian relative crossing without the visa fee ? It would potentially help us to avoid paying $200 for me and my child each. Thank you for any advice

Silver medal winning team of Syria at the robotics competition of FIRST Global Challenge 2026 in South Korea:
We used to sabotage our own work to avoid becoming famous and having our work stolen by the regime who would give to unskilled people they want to send to enjoy a touristic visit abroad .. after the freedom/liberation the current government supported us.

How do you guys deal with the hard water here? It caused severe dandruff for me before I learned I need to wash out the calcium from my scalp with a vinegar solution. Even with the vinegar solution, I'm not putting on the vinegar as the last thing on my hair obviously, so I'm finishing the rinse with some of the hard water, which leaves a bit of calcium behind, but it's manageable for now. I don't have to rub my hair and watch my shirt get full of white flakes anymore. Do you use any water filters or specific shampoos too?
