I can't play the new remaster of the game because my PC don't meet new requirements, but CD PROJECKT said that selecting next-gen people will be able to play the version of the game that everyone played until 29 September.
But after selecting next-gen the download still shows up and I can't play the game.
I found a "solution" but created another problem, if I disconnect form internet and put offline mode on steam I'm able to play the game, but steam will bug and my PC no longer turns off and I'm forced to disconnect from electricity or turn off power supply..
I don't know where to ask assistance because every link on steam says that I have to contact CD Projeckt because steam "can't do nothing whit a game that is not made by them" but this issue is related whit their client.
Anyone can help?

I bought the game at release and bought a 2nd copy and gifted it to my friend so we could play together. They had some graphic card issues during gameplay so we stopped for a few months and I played other games. Yesterday we decided to try again and my game was completely gone. We share a library and I opened his copy and it said I played the game for the first time, and my playtime reset. I cant even find it in my transaction history but I played the game with him before for a few hours. And no I didnt mistake and purchase it on an alt account, after going back and forth with steam this is their only explanation. Im not completely blaming them its a weird occurrence but im definitely frustrated cuz it looks like im going to have repurchase it again

When i tried opening Geometry Dash, my steam opened like it was first being opened on my computer, which was strange because my steam is supposed to run on startup. I never did anything before this other than open up Firefox. After it logged into steam, it shuts down every background proccess of steam and never opens steam or the game. I've tried reinstalling it, repairing it, but nothing seems to work. Help!

Hello, so this morning I had opened the steam app on mobile to find out that I've been logged out.
No suspicious activities were found and my last login on pc was the same around the time I had went to bed.
One thing to note, when I logged back into my account, I noticed my old authenticated device for mobile was active "less than a minute ago" and when I check Security & Devices, the last activity matches the time I logged back into my account.
Has this ever happened to anybody? Is this normal for Steam to do this? This is my first time experiencing something like this until today.

I tried to log into my Steam account for the first time in 7 years. It didn't recognise either my e-mail or password.
I raised a case with Steam support and because I knew highly specific security details from before, they were able to recover it for me.
I log in and what do I see - comments made in Russian (I don't speak Russian), hours played on games I've never played myself and friends I don't even recognise. Looks like my account was taken by someone else? But how is this possible?
I removed the comments and friends, but what do I do with the hours played on those games? If i decide to play these games at some point in my life, will the history and achievements stay? I want to start from scratch.
Any idea on what to do next? I really don't feel like making a new Steam account as this one is close to 15 years old and I do have purchased games which I'd like to keep.
Many thanks.

Everytime i want to download a game in my SSD hard drive, the patching time extends to over one hour, no matter the update's size, it always takes too long. This started happening pretty recently, i have plenty of space left and both reading and writing speed from the ssd are fast, i already cleared the cache and nothing helps. Can someone help me?

I purchased a large amount of Apex Coins and some Exotic Shards through my Steam wallet, but they never appeared in the game (Apex Legends). I contacted Steam support, but they automatically referred me to EA support. When I reached out to EA support after waiting for 1 hour in front of the screen, they sent me back to Steam, saying the transaction was canceled. Steam again responded with an automatic message directing me to EA for purchases, so I can’t open a help case for these particular transactions. I paid with a debit card, and the money hasn’t been refunded to either my Steam wallet or my bank account. Does anyone know the next step?

I got a new PC yesterday, I've been excited to try running games on it. I installed Steam to my OS drive, and went ahead and downloaded wallpaper engine.
Today, I got the Hard Drive in, and it won't recognize anything except Among Us for some reason.
I'm not having much luck with what I've found on google, does anybody have any suggestions?

I have just updated my pc from windows 11 v 26H2. I even tried running it as administrator and it just says that it's currently running in windows compatibility mode, but it isn't even turned on. And when I turn it on the compatibility modes only goes to windows 8 for some reason.

For some reason no matter what I do I can’t get into my steam account. I have my password saved and even reset it but refuses to log me in. I’m out of ideas and had to ask this sub Reddit.

Hey all, thanks for any advice!
This error message loaded up on my computer, no links clicked. It loaded less than a minute after Steam opened. I have not seen any message like this before.
Is this legit? Please advise.
Thanks again,
Komi

Built my gaming rig two years ago, has been working flawlessly. Suddenly, yesterday, I can't get any Steam games to run. They start to load and then they lock up. Everything else seems to be working fine - office software, browsing, watching videos. Tried deleting and reloading Steam, no effect. Any suggestions on what I should try next to diagnose this problem will be greatly appreciated.

I've spent all day trying to figure out how to setup the gift triggers for needle in a haystack.
TikControl only has the Reset haystack function with other functions I don't care about.
But I'm trying to figure out how people have been doing the Add 400k, Remove 400k, Save game from Reset and the 40k add/remove.
Someone please help 😭 I feel like I'm going crazy atp.

I'm extremely disappointed with how Steam Support has handled my refund request, and I honestly find this level of customer support unacceptable.
I accidentally purchased 8 Trove of Terror treasures instead of the 3 I intended to buy. I opened 3 of them, but **the remaining 5 treasures are completely unopened and still sitting in my inventory.** I'm not asking for a refund for the treasures I opened. I'm asking for a refund for the 5 unused items I never intended to purchase in the first place.
I contacted Steam Support and explained the situation clearly. Despite having 5 unopened treasures remaining, I was told that refunds would not be provided under the current policy. To make matters worse, Support then told me that this was their final decision and that they were closing the ticket.
Seriously? Is this what customer support has become?
I understand that digital purchases have rules, and I'm not asking Steam to make an exception for items I've consumed or traded away. But refusing to even accommodate a reasonable request involving **five unused, unopened items** feels unnecessarily rigid and completely disconnected from basic customer service.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I funded my Steam Wallet specifically to make this purchase. Now I'm left with items I never intended to buy, no refund, and a support ticket that has been closed without any meaningful resolution.
I'm not demanding special treatment. I'm asking for a reasonable solution to an honest purchasing mistake. A customer who accidentally buys too many items and immediately asks for help should not be treated as if they're trying to exploit the system.
**The most frustrating part isn't just the money. It's the complete lack of flexibility and the decision to shut down the conversation rather than properly address the situation.**
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Dota 2 treasure refunds? Has anyone managed to get a refund for unopened treasures after an initial rejection?
I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and whether there's any legitimate way to escalate this further.
**Steam Support, if you're reading this: I'm still asking for a refund for the 5 unopened treasures. Nothing more.**

Hi everyone,
When my friend and I try to start a voice call in Steam Chat, it gets stuck on an infinite "Connecting" screen for one of us.
The only way we manage to connect is by clicking the call button dozens of times (around 30–40 times) until it finally goes through.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?

So basically, when my Steam patches a game, it runs fine for the most part until it gets to 99% and then starts freezing and basically makes my PC unusable for 5-10 minutes. This happens on a fresh install, with a recently replaced mainboard. It is not SSD related, since this happens on all of my 2 NVMe SSDs.
Here are my specs for reference:
AMD Ryzen 7800X3D
MSI X670 PLUS Wifi / newest BIOS / all drivers up to date
32GB DDR5 from Patriot running at 6000mhz
RTX 4070 Super Ti
Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this only happens with updates over steam and my pc is completely stable otherwise.

Every time I open my Steam account and look at my profile, it always happens like this. When I refresh, it's fixed. It happens every day. Why does this happen? Any help?
