Doing another playthrough of Skyrim and I did not know you could command your follower to activate shrines to gain their effects. Literally standing in Goldenhills and activated my shrine of Azura and it dawned on me to try commanding my current follwer: Cicero to activate it and lo and behold.... it worked. Anyone else not know this?

Bethesda did dirty female and gay gamers with male marriage options in vanilla. Half of them look dirty, are balding, got bad painted faces and look homeless and in one occasion IS actually a homeless guy.

I’m curious as lore wise how strong are adapt level mages. I’m using Skyrim classification as that my first Elder Scrolls game while Morrowind’s confuses me and I quit Oblivion.
What does it mean to be an adapt level mage their power, the social standing and or academic achievements those type of things for a lore perspective?

I'm currently doing a 100% achievement playthrough and decided to be a Nord mage that uses all schools of magic. The "Impact" perk has pretty much made my character untouchable, I can literally stun lock an entire room of enemies. While it's been a big help I've begun to feel like it makes the game unimpactful (excuse the pun). I didn't realize how much it has watered down battles until I realized half of my carry weight is just health potions. I can't think of any other perk that would carry me this much (at least in terms of combat).
What other perks would you guys say gives your character an unfair edge?

i’m taking some college classes and considering writing an evaluation essay on skyrim :)
for me, it made a huge impact, and remains a favorite game of mine after many years. but i’m super curious to hear the perspective of other fans!
I understand the Thalmor hate Talos worship but I never understood why or to what extent do they just do it to spite the words or is there deeper reason that Skyrim doesn't mention
Disclaimer Skyrim is the only elder scrolls game I have played so i don't know mucb about the lore outside of what I hear in Skyrim

Wanted to share my love for TES not only by making lore vids, but also by bringing characters to life. All is hand-crafted, also luckily my current hair color matches, all in all running through forest with a bow was epic :)

Are you a monk? Running around with restoration and/or alteration magic or using your fists as a secondary? Probably a Khajiit too if you’re running this
Or are you a Witch hunter? Supplementing your bow with magic and summons? Maybe to trap someone with a rune if they get too close or perhaps have yourself a distraction in case your cover’s broken
Maybe you’re a thief? You only really need a bow, carrying capacity, and some speech and lock picking skills
Or perhaps you’re just doing anything really interesting. Sometimes simplicity is golden.

For me it was Braith
At first i was annoyed by her bratty atitude as well as her bullying other kids but then after doing her quest and spying at some convos of her with other character made me to make up my mind abt her character.
It was revealed she has a crush and does not know how to act on her feelings as both of her parents seems to not put much of atention to her and every time she's attempted to just chat with them abt those problems they're pretty much just ghosted her.
Tbh her situation really did hit home with me and i just couldnt actively dislike her anymore after such revelation. Actually i've started to appreciate her atitude more she's kinda nonsense and stands her ground i'm sure she would make a great female Skyrim warrior one day despite not being a nord.

I just finished Dawnguard and I hope to kill Molag Bal in the future. Permanently, not like in Elder Scrolls Online.

Most Favorite - the fact that this game is old and I've been playing it for 10 years and I'm still discovering new things and new arguments. There's genuinely a lot to still see in this game. A lot of new little details popping up that I've never noticed everyday. It feels like there's never things to run out of to do or see.
Least favorite - lack of animation and voice actors. I understand but it would have been cool if Cicero tackled the dragonborn/listener and screamed in their face when he realized that they were in the night mother's coffin. But that's just me spitballing.

53 hours in, first playthrough, only 1 main quest done, havent been to the greybeards, did a few sidequests, did a lot of dungeons and mainly just meandered for hours, took screenshots and just wandered around. Only have been around Whiterun and Falkreath so far. Built a house at Falkreath too. I love games where you can just ignore the main story for hours.

The more I delve into TES cosmology, the more confused I get. I NEED ANSWERS.
As far as I know, Aedra translates from the Elven language as "our ancestors," whereas Daedra means "not our ancestors." Are our ancestors the very ones who participated in the creation of the world? Or not? Or is it not quite that simple? As far as I know, elves and humans have different ancestors. Then why are only eight deities considered Aedra? (Let's not bring Talos into this; that’s not what we’re discussing.) After all, aren't those eight deities - whom everyone calls the Aedra -not the ancestors of the elves? The elven pantheon consists of different deities, and only some of them overlap with those in the human pantheon. So, what are the deities of the elven pantheon called? Are they not Aedra? But how could they be Aedra? Take Magnus, for instance - he is one of the gods in the elven pantheon, yet he fled and thus took no part in the creation of life; consequently, he cannot be an ancestor to the elves, which means he isn't an Aedra, right? I don't quite understand all of this. Why, then, did the elves apply the name "Aedra" to gods who are not their ancestors and whom they do not worship - such as Kynareth or Dibella - even though these deities are designated as Aedra yet hold no place in the elven pantheon?
