[PC] SIB Galactic Racer if I..

don't like Rougelike mechanics? I am all for racing and speed, this game seems to scratch the itch for something like NFS:HP. However, not fan of Rougelike games, like how it is implemented in Hades and similar games, but I am not sure how the mechanic is implemented in Galactic Racer, I am ok to repeat the match to learn the track better to get 1st in the race, but I don't like to be helpless because of forced Rougelike mechanics.

I wouldn't say it's overly roguelike. You upgrade your speeder throughout the tournament and if you crash out, you start over. I really enjoyed it, and it never stops you from racing. You can always try it out and refund if you don't end up liking it!

You fail to mention that the speeder upgrades ARE the roguelike mechanic.

OP: after each race, you get to pick a stat to upgrade your speeder. You get to pick one of three randomly chosen stats from like seven. Some race types also allow you to pick an ability (an activatable, either offensive or defensive) or a part (parts change/enhance the behavior of your vehicle--example: a part that makes your afterburner last longer or recharge faster). You can have a total of four parts installed.

Sometimes you get runs where you don't really get any synergistic parts, so you have a hodgepodge "build" to race with.

THAT is where the rougelike mechanics come from.

I didn't fail to mention it, I just didn't overly explain it because I was trying to keep my comment short
