[PC] SIB Galactic Racer if I..
don't like Rougelike mechanics? I am all for racing and speed, this game seems to scratch the itch for something like NFS:HP. However, not fan of Rougelike games, like how it is implemented in Hades and similar games, but I am not sure how the mechanic is implemented in Galactic Racer, I am ok to repeat the match to learn the track better to get 1st in the race, but I don't like to be helpless because of forced Rougelike mechanics.

How does it run on Luna? Isn’t that cloud gaming?

It's cloud an it runs amazing for me but everyone's internet is different. Definitely worth a shot if you're already playing for Prime

I think the best way to describe it would be to think about a NFS game, but instead of picking your car at the beginning of a campaign you build it out over the course of the campaign. That’s the best I can do. I think. I really like it, but I also really like rogue likes. I do just find the racing fun without considering the rogue stuff.
I don’t know if any of that is helpful at all. I am curious to know how non rogue people feel about it.

i’ve heard the roguelike part is pretty bare-bones (i haven’t played yet myself, and adding new parts is like most obvious updates coming after the good release), so it might not even be a problem for OP, since there’s not too much variety :p
more like a light-roguelike? loli’m definitely gonna have to try it once it gets cheaper for sure

No. It’s a roguelike with an unedited control scheme, no hotas support and no head tracking. Skip

Question to everybody because I personally don't remember this. Has this game been marketed as roguelike because I feel like it hasn't?
And the reason I feel like they didn't advertise that is because those elements are really just to create variety within the campaign.

I don't know about the marketing so much, but previews and talk about it definitely mentioned the rogue-like structure many times

I don’t recall seeing any messaging that showed that’s the way it was. It’s also not roguelite in a way that actually feels like a separate mechanic. It just makes it more varied and interesting.

No, I'm getting pretty tired of racing in Jakkku - the beginning level.
I can't stand rogue lites minus Saros and Returnal. I will play GR till I'm bored then sell it for £32

I wouldn't say it's overly roguelike. You upgrade your speeder throughout the tournament and if you crash out, you start over. I really enjoyed it, and it never stops you from racing. You can always try it out and refund if you don't end up liking it!
