ScotRail Passenger Journeys Top 48.41 Million After Bumper 6 Months - Up 7%
“A total of 48,419,573 journeys were recorded between 1 April and 30 September 2026 – an increase of more than 3.1 million, or 7%, compared with the same six-month period last year.
The latest figures continue a sustained rise in passenger numbers since ScotRail returned to public ownership in April 2022.”
It would appear ScotRail is a success, and I’m glad. But when are they going to upgrade the ancient trains, and bring down prices in/from the North and East?

Question Anyone annoyed at the electric bikes?
This might be the wrong flair, so apologies
Is it just me, or is anyone else angry at these teens on e-bikes, e-scooters, darting into traffic, on the main roads endangering both their and others’ safety?
It’s like today, driving home and these teens were darting into oncoming traffic, even going into the wrong lane.
I always just feel intimidated by them, so I imagine how bad it must be for other local communities putting up with these teens with £3.5K bikes, and them endangering people
I feel like both the government and the police could be doing more, because kids over the age of 14 (I believe) are allowed to drive these, no exam or anything
Also, the image might be related, as it’s part of the same topic
The images source is: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/30302617/idiot-big-man-instant-karma/
Edit: and before anyone comes here saying “you’ve never lived in a scheme”, a) I’ve not been alive in the 90’s, only early 2000’s and b) where I live, we see kids on these things on our roads as well acting recklessly

We FOI'd all 14 Scottish health boards on ADHD & autism waits, now gathering lived experiences (anonymous 5-min survey, Scotland)
I run ADHD Scot, an independent, non-commercial information project. Scotland doesn't publish how long people wait for ADHD or autism assessments, and the Government's own FOI responses to our requests admit it doesn't hold the data. So I asked all 14 health boards directly. The picture is stark and very inconsistent: waits of 3+ years, some boards giving only one city's figures, at least one with no adult service at all.
Official numbers only tell half the story, so I've made a short anonymous survey to capture what it's actually like, by health board. No name, no email. About 5 minutes. Results will be grouped by board and shared with MSPs, the Scottish Parliament if possible, and in a report we intend to publish later this year, to push for proper data and better services.
If you're in Scotland and have waited (or are waiting), or you're a parent/carer, I'd really value your response and a share: https://forms.gle/mR5cjvovfy54ifte7
More about the project: https://adhdscot.co.uk.
Mods, if this isn't allowed, apologies, please remove. Thank you! :)

Accessible public transport in Scotland - share your travel experiences (anonymous 5-7 min survey, mod approved)
Hi r/Scotland - posting with the mods' permission.
I'm Frederick, part of a small Stirling-based team building CommutAble, an accessibility-first journey planning platform for disabled and older travellers. Most journey planners optimise for speed - but for many disabled and older people, the fastest route isn't a usable route. With 24.1% of people in Scotland reporting a disability in the 2022 census, this affects a lot of us.
We're running a short anonymous survey (5-7 minutes, Google Forms, no email collected, no sign-in needed) about public transport accessibility experiences - the barriers you face on buses, trains and trams, and what would genuinely help. We're co-designing the product with the community, so your answers directly shape what gets built.
Survey link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd9zuxCaw8Odzisn97_wbYTyorjTRx0haQQpXjUMN0Kf-7qAQ/viewform
Whether you travel yourself, or support someone who does, we'd really value your voice. Thanks!
