I'm a Linguistics Master's student from University of Helsinki, Finland conducting a research project on Georgian dialects. My study depends on me getting as many answers as possible, so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm traveling to Georgia (Tbilisi, Kutaisi & Zugdidi) with my research group 17.-26.10., so there's also a possibility for a short 20-30min face-to-face interview if you would be interested!

Are people in this country not supposed to take care of themselves? Especially considering that wages in Europe are also 3–4 times higher.

Turkey doesn’t allow full passport ID numbers on health insurance policy forms, only the first and last few numbers. Is this enough for border control to confirm that it is indeed my health insurance and let me in to visit?

The Georgian diet doesn’t include that much fish, so I think omega-3 is a must. I also think vitamin D is important, especially outside of summer. Georgia gets plenty of sunlight during the summer, but not as much during the rest of the year, so vitamin D supplementation may be important.

I‘ve been living in Europe my whole life and would like to have later a house with a nice garden. Either I‘m gonna build one by myself or I will just buy a house.

I wanted to ask you, which region of Georgia is beautiful? I would like to be near the mountains but I know that Georgia has many mountains and I‘m now curious which region is good? Or: which regions is known for what?
And how much are the prices for houses there? In Europe, it’s almost impossible to buy a home.

წლების განმავლობაში მეგობრებთან ერთად ვამტკიცებდით, რომ თანაბარი ვაუჩერებით საყოველთაო პრივატიზაცია სწორედ იქითკენ მიმავალი გზაა. ყველა კარი დაიკეტა. ამიტომ ლოდინი შევწყვიტე და თავად ავაშენე, სიმულაციის სახით.

როგორ მუშაობს:

Traveling through Georgia with mashrtuka and train. Mainly staying in Tbilisi and Batumi, but also a 1-2 weeks trip in the mountains for day hikes.

Last time I used a huge backpack and wasn’t really happy with it, so I struggle if I should use a daypack + carry on suitcase this time.
