Earlington Flats: Renton’s Little Italy
I’m currently working on researching this to expand it out more, but felt like it might be of interest to people here in the meantime.

The anniversary of when I started my business in Renton (filed the paperwork) is a month away. I feel like I should commemorate the event, like buying a cake for my business. I'm not sure exactly what to do, but I know I can't eat cake like that anymore. Maybe I should actually go get a photography session done so I can pose with my trophy?
Man. What a crazy road this has been. And I'm still going to have to figure stuff out next year too, since the first year has some tax breaks for starting up your business. Hopefully next year is just as great and has just as much growth, I'm so proud of how far I've come with everything and I'm so happy that people are finding me who need me. I'm genuinely humbled and so grateful for everything that I have learned this year, and for all of the things I'll continue to learn in the following years.
I'm grateful to John for being my rock in all of this, and for being so supportive. I can't wait until I get to the point where he can go back to school and get his PT certification, I feel like that will be such a great chapter for us, but I know it just takes time, and I know we will get there eventually. We are both working hard towards our goals so I know we'll get there.
Anyway, just feeling nostalgic and wanted to update everyone on how I'm doing. Things are going well! Looking forward to more growth in the future, and adding years onto my business. Thank you everyone on (and off) of Reddit who have helped this business grow and thrive, and thank you for being a part of my story! This is only the beginning. 🙂
What the title says! After finishing up our residency at Freehold Theatre in the International District, we're super thrilled to be back in Renton and at Luther's Table for another improv comedy show!
Come see us Friday, October 23rd, at 730pm! We'll be performing a completely improvised musical, with a live musician making up songs with our performers on the spot based on your suggestions!
For those who don't know us, Take 5 Improv started with a bunch of us improvisers who live in the Renton area who got real tired of having to drive into Seattle to perform. Since then, our cast has grown, but if you've seen our shows before you'll see many familiar faces at this one!
Tickets are still pay what you wish with a suggested donation of $10 at the door! Cash or card accepted. And as always, Luther's Table also provides refreshments by donation as well!
Hope to see (and meet) some of y'all there!

Put your GODDAMN CARTS AWAY WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO GO. Stop being fucking lazy

As you may have heard, Hazen High School canceled their football season after playing only four games this season.
Hazen hired James Billotti in 2025 despite zero experience as an athletic director. The football season would have been saved if Hazen had a competent, experienced athletic director.
The new football coach hired for the 2026 season was handpicked by James Billotti. After being initially impressed with the new coach’s plans to win, the players were shocked at the his lack of professionalism, student support, and basic enthusiasm for the team, so they turned to Billotti for support. They received nothing in return.
This is the second Hazen program Billotti has dismantled with one of his handpicked coaches. in 2025, he fired the longtime dance coach who had just led the team to a state championship. The coach he replaced her with bullied the dancers and lied to parents. She was only able to retain one dancer after the transition.
Nearly 200 students across football, cheer, marching band, and dance have been directly impacted by Billotti‘s inability to lead.
Happy to answer questions and hoping for your support on the petition.

Hey all. On a whim we came up from Portland to check out the Jimi Hendrix memorial, statue and park. I have wanted to do this for 30 years!!! We will be heading home tomorrow by noon. This gives us about 5 hours to do stuff before heading out. So what should we do? Snoqualmie fall's doesn't seem to far away. Any way...what should we do? We are staying in Renton. Thanks.

Menu seems too good to be true, it’s a classic Chinese menu and almost everything is labeled gluten free. I asked specifically about the sweet and sour chicken (breaded) which was under the GF category but she admitted it was not.
Has anyone confirmed they’re actually using wheat free soy sauce and it’s largely as GF as it claims to be?

Hey everyone I’m in beauty school right now in Renton and have printed flyers to put around town to get models to come in. I’m not from this area, so I was curious if anyone had some recommendations for best places to put flyers up?
Examples like businesses with community bulletin boards, parks/sidewalks with heavy foot traffic, tattoo shops, bars?
I’ve stopped by a couple tattoo shops so far and they’ve been sweet to take them🙂↕️, but trying to get a few more up. Also planning on stopping by the colleges in the area but like where would I put them?? Thanks everyone in advance !!

Hi, neighbors.
When I search for dog grooming locally, most of the results only show smaller dogs and I want to find a place that would be appropriate for my 65-70 pound German Shepherd mix. She's a sweet girl who is the opposite of aggressive, but does not like baths.
Any recommendations (or even confirmation that she'd be fine from groomers themselves) would be appreciated!
And, of course, dog tax.

Hi everyone. This is a long shot in the dark. My car was hit this morning on the way home from work by Houser Way N, right by the Big Foot Java and the new Woods Coffee. Im looking for the nice man in the white tesla that offered to send me the picture of the other vehicle clearly going into my lane and hitting my car. He yelled his number to me but I must have typed it incorrectly as I was so shaken up. Seems to be a number thats not in service :(
When: Tuesday, October 6, 2026 @ 8:40 AM
Where: Houser way N turning Right onto Bronson way N, right at the train tracks in the lanes to take a left onto Sunset BLVD N.
My vehicle: Black Honda Civic
911 was called and a report has been filed. I have the license plate of the other vehicle but unfortunately the driver had left before any information was exchanged. Im hoping this would reach him somehow. Or if you were commuting that way this morning and have any other information, please DM me! Thank you.

I’m making a large catio and am planning on using a post/wire fence as the main structure. Anyone have any recommendations for a local fence guy/gal?
