Behavior My bunny leaves pee spots outside the litter despite also going in. How can I "retrain" him or solve this?
Hii! This beautiful boy loves to leave little pee spots right along the outside of the litter. I rescued him a few months ago, he's about 2 years I was told he was litter trained and he is neutered. I got him as a partner to my doe and they're very well bonded. They have the biggest litter box I could find and I keep it clean stocked with fresh hay. I did initially try two litters but they prefer to be together. Now he has a habit of eating hay from outside the litter but he still jumps inside to pee. It's gotten to the point though where every morning I see cocoa pebbles and little circles of pee outside the litter nearly every morning. I attached a pic of their litter setup.

Bonding Humping during bonding/new bond.
I think our two rabbits ( Male who is 6 and female who is 5) are near the end of the bonding timeline and are overall doing extremely well. They can eat by each other, lay out, use the same litterbox, and groom each other. However, our male gets something over him when being with her for an extended amount of time and will incessantly hump our female. She lets him do it 3-4 times (5-10 seconds of humps) but then anything after it she starts to get feisty and nip him. Then he will stop for maybe a minute but go right back to it. It gets to the point where she is clearly not happy with him and I believe it could result in a tornado, so I step in and need to separate them until they cool down.
I’m not an expert in bonding by any means. Is the humping early on in a bond always this incessant or should I be doing something differently? I would hate to let them keep “figuring it out” into a tornado and end up back at step 1 after getting this far.
Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

Care Predator safe enclosures
My girls are indoor free room (baby gate to one room unless supervised). That is our default and preferred option for them.
We have relatives with a country home (Australia). Money is tight (isnt it for everyone) and we are hoping to use this as a staycation. They have indoor cats (so as not to risk native animals).
When we go away I usually put them in rabbit care with a wonderful experienced lady who has them in an X pen with room to roam.
I am debating whether there is a large, high quality, predator safe option that we could purchase to have them with us for the 2 weeks rather than in care. The idea is they'd be out on the very large back deck under shade so not in house with the cats but visible. so no digging risk. its a fake plastic wood but Id likely put matting down so comfortable. My criteria is that its large enough they can roam around and that it is safe (there are eagles. Poss foxes).
Something like this
https://www.omlet.com.au/shop/rabbit_products/eglu_go_rabbit_hutch/
they have various add ons of different heights and lengths so Im less worried about size as Id go as big as can afford but more about predators.
Overall it costs less than 2 weeks of care plus they're with us. But no saving is worth it if they could be eaten!!
So thought I would throw out here for thoughts as I know how much y'all love your buns and you will think of things that I haven't!

My usually standoffish bun having a lil nap next to me for the first time
Adopted this lil guy from a rescue about 2 months ago, worked really hard to try and build up his trust as he was poorly treated in the past, so nice to see small things like this become more common for him🥹

RIP Max is coming home in a different way🌈
This is a felted bunny I recently made in memory of Max. 🌈
Max has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and his family wanted to find another way to keep him close.
His mom once described him to me like this:
“Max was my first pet that I had full responsibility for and he was definitely my soul bunny. I’ve never seen another bunny quite like him.”
His fur had such unique markings, with gray and white scattered unevenly across his body. But what stood out to me the most were his beautiful blue eyes with their tiny pupils.
Max’s mom also sent me some of the fur he left behind. I carefully incorporated some of his real fur into the sculpture, so this little bunny would carry a tiny piece of Max with him.
We can’t turn back time or truly hold on to the ones who have left us. But with our hands, we can turn the love, memories, and little details that made them who they were into something we can touch, look at, and keep close for years to come.
Max found his way home in another form.
Rest in parsley, sweet Max. 🤍🐰🥬

Health Advice about Flemish/Continental giant quality of life after amputation Spoiler
Please be kind as I am just so devastated about this.
My big girl is about 6 or 7 months old and still growing. She broke her leg and when I took her to the vet today, I was told to euthanize her. I have never been a big crier but I have been crying ever since they told me that. I have fallen in love with her and so has my son. She has a husbun who loves her too. I know many rabbits have gone on to have happy lives with only 3 legs but the vet said its different for giant breeds.
Has anyone had a giant bun wjo only has 3 legs and is happy? Is there any prosthetic options? I just want to do what's right for her. She is eating great, drinking great, even still chasing her husbun around. She is literally grooming him right now as I type this. She seems lkke she wants to damn live to me. Am I being ridiculous?

Care Advice on nail trimming for a touch averse bunny?
I have a somewhat new bunny named Daisy who is very skittish. She was a rescue that seems to have been taken out of a bad situation when she was young. Because of this, she gets startled easily and does not like to be touched. I have built a decent amount of trust over the few months I have had her, so she will occasionally let me touch under her chin and cheeks, but that's about it. I have had to pick her up a few times and she is very much not a fan. I have been taking her to the vet for nail trims, but I want to start doing them at home eventually. I do not want to stress her out and undo that progress and trust. Does anyone have tips for working towards trust around nail clipping?
Also she's just such a cutie! 🥰

RIP Please vaccinate your rabbits 🙏 ( especially outdoor rabbits )
Our rabbits have recently passed away from RHD1 seeing how it affects them in their final moments is heart breaking. Please vaccinate them as it eliminates the risk by 80%. Had we known the risks associated with this disease we would have vaccinated them straight away but the vet had told us we hadn’t needed to. There is also a spike in the disease at the moment so please be careful ❤️

RIP Show me your bunnies! 🐰
It’s been officially one week since I lost my little Nutmeg (left) and am no longer a bun mom 😔
Violet (right) I lost a little over a year ago, but she was an old lady…. After her loss having Nutmeg filled the void, made the loss easier—I’ve been a mess since losing Nutmeg. The last week has been a blur.
Show me your happy bunnies, maybe their cuteness will make me feel better ❤️🩹

Care Keeping Her Happy
Hello! I very unexpectedly lost my almost 5 year old Flemish giant, Lovelace, early last Thursday morning at the emergency vet. It came on very suddenly, and unfortunately, despite hours of effort, they were not able to save him.
He lived with my other bunny, Shoeshine, for the 4 years that I had him. We did bring his body home so she could see him and process it. I have been upping enrichment and keeping a close eye on her since.
She honestly has seemed pretty fine. She’s been eating well and has seemed a bit more social towards me without him around. I did feel like she wasn’t eating much hay, but I think I reconfigured her diet where she is hungry for it again. I didn’t want her hungry when sad and was trying to rework feeding since I was now only feeding one.
I just want to make sure I am doing everything I can for her, and know all of the signs to watch for that may mean she is unhappy.
Thanks so much!

Health Choosing a date. :( (TW euthanasia) Spoiler
So we took my rabbit, Fluffy, to the vets at 5pm today (just an hour ago). She has dental issues and potential e.cuniculi, and the only way to make her better is crazy 0.0.01% survival rate, £1000 surgeries and medication every day and still then she’ll have to take meds every day and struggle. I chose to take her home and decide a date to have her euthanised. I’m 14, I’ve had her since I was 9. Since then all of my massive, horrible life events have happened and she’s been there with me through all of them. I’m just so devastated and sad and I feel horrible for putting her through this. Idk how I’ll live without her - she’s my last childhood pet left and I’ll have no one. I’m not sure what I’m looking for, reassurance? Something like that? She’s such a sweet, bubbly girl - that whole vets visit she just wanted me to hold her, nipped me on the arm to try and get me to hold her once. I’ll miss her so much. :(

Bonding Rebonding? I feel really terrible
Hi there, I've got two neutered bunnies,, professionally bonded 5 months ago. They were the cutest things, always stuck together. Our life dramatically changed -my husband's visa was not renewed, he lost his job and went back to his country. So last month, i moved in a bedroom with the buns, in a house where dogs live. Before that we had a huge flat with a big garden so big change for them :(
They were having a huge zoomie in my bedroom when suddenly the had a tornado fight-don't know how it started. Really, really violent, I saw my little one fly against the walls of his pen. Like they were really going for the kill ( especially my girl, and she is much bigger).
I had to separate them for safety but this is very difficult. I live in a tiny bedroom only, so now their space is tiny and I feel awful about it. I. need to say that their bonding had been difficult, because they had fought badly before being bonded several times (met accidentally).
They have since improved, as it's been 3 weeks since they share the bedroom 7 hours a day, when I'm here. They mutually lick, groom, flop next to each other, but are less close than before. ( especially my giant female, my little male still looooves her). They shared a pen last night, no issue, but I heard my female thump twice.
However I am reluctant to put them together unsupervised again because their fight really came out of the blue and was so violent. Also my female is twice the size of my male. I am terrified that I might come back from work one day and find them badly injured...
I need to see my husband for the holidays, but 2 places at the boarding house is too expensive for me alone now... Especially in summer when I have two months.
I had to cancel my October-november trip already, but I really want to see him for Christmas. What should I do?
I thought about rehoming her but honestly I can't imagine myself seeing her little confused face in her transportation cage and leaving her forever with a random stranger who could put her in a tiny cage for the rest of her life, or who abandon her when they realise that she has so much energy...
I feel really guilty... They have to live in a tiny bedroom while they'd deserve a big garden to dig and jump:(

This is Milo and Lilja. Having a bonding session right now with them. I'm going to freeroam them once they're bonded since my apartment is pretty small. Any tips? Do I still make a homebase for them?

RIP how to deal with bunny loss Spoiler
Im so devastated. My baby died today. He was only 8 months old. I feel like the worst person on earth. He went in for his surgery to get neutered today and I didnt even see him before my mam dropped him off because i assumed everything would be fine. I cant stop crying. He was probably so scared and afraid and for nothing, hes just gone now.
I dont know how to deal with this. I havent lost an animal since i was a young kid, and i know i didnt get much time at all with him but i adopted him fresh out a breakup and hes been my little buddy throughout the pain. Now hes gone. I feel like its all my fault.
I dont know what to do for my other bunny either, they werent bonded yet but would be in the same room together with one caged frequentedly, and my first rabbit would sit by his cage and hang out. i dont know how to explain to him why we’re getting rid of all his friends things. I want to bring him in tomorrow to the vets before my baby is cremated but i dont know.
Please if anyone has experienced something like this please give me advice. I feel so lost and alone right now.

Behavior Strange behavior
I have a pretty boy ( a "géant papillon français"), and as his 4th birthday approaches, his behavior has completely changed. He’s always been the kind of rabbit who doesn’t really care about much of anything—during his walks, he didn’t like to go too far; he liked cuddles but nothing more, and he’d get bored of them quickly, and he never showed me any real signs of affection—except that this summer he started running toward me for cuddles, letting me pet him for three hours if I wanted to; he curls up into a loaf when I pet him or does “flops,” he makes the purring sound of a happy rabbit, and he lets me handle him however I want. Yet he still has the same cage (about 3 meters by 2 meters), the same food, and the same items in his cage; I haven’t changed how I behave around him—nothing has changed. I thought it was just the heat, so he didn’t have the strength to push me away, but right now it’s about 15 degrees, and he’s still acting this way. Of course, I’m fine with him being so sweet and gentle—I was just curious to know why he decided to change

Care Any help Appriciated
Hi all im looking for some help regarding our buns new (OPEN) pen. We have to have them in there throughout the night as hes very mischievous come nighttime haha
We have places mats down but he keeps digging it up and eating bits of it over night! as you can see if photo. I cannot think of anything to help pin it down i was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. We tuck it right under his little hut everyday where the corner isnt visible (comes outside of pen) but he just goes at it and gets it eventually.
I would appreciate any recommendations please! Thanks 🐰
