Where to begin?
I'm not someone who has been in a tremendous number of long-term relationships. My most recent relationship lasted about 15 years. The last time I actively dated social media was just being born and there was no such thing as dating apps. I am thus a little overwhelmed of where to even begin.
Whats Most Important:
Right now the most important thing in my life are my kids. If that would present a problem for you, I suggest swiping left (or up or down, or whatever the saying goes [see how out of touch I am?]). With that being said, I love kids and am open to having more kids with the right person. :)
My Career:
I'm a lawyer but not your traditional lawyer. I have my own hybrid law-firm and consulting practice. While I do practice traditional 'law', the biggest part of my work is providing consulting services to large fortune 500 companies and other entities. This means most of my work is done remotely, which means................ I can work anywhere in the world, which means...........
My Hobbies:
I love to travel. Traveling is probably my favorite thing to do in the world. Fortunately, I am not limited by time or availability to travel because my work allows me to do so. I'm open to visiting anywhere in the world, especially spontaneous travel decisions. :) My favorite places right now is anything tropical, especially anything to do with beaches, water, or boats!
My newest hobby is cooking. I scrapped junk food and soda a few years ago. I have been getting better and better at cooking as the years have gone by. I enjoy trying to learn new recipes, especially those from other countries.
I try to keep active. I like to go to the gym, rock climbing, and nature walks / hikes. At my age, fitness and keeping on top of your health is really important to me.
Since I have kids (and because im a kid at heart), you will find me playing PS5 with my kids (or sometimes without them) or giving my son a video game walkthrough on how to get through his game over Facetime.
My Personality:
While I am introverted, most people don't expect it. Because of my job/career, I'm a tremendously outgoing person when the time calls for it. I'm often the last person who wants to leave a get-together or party. I enjoy socializing with new people.
A huge part of my personality is making other people laugh. Some of my efforts may fail epically but I live for the challenge. You can think of me as the lawyer Michael Scott...
I am very wide and flexible with interests. I LOVE to learn about new things and subjects. I'm probably the most well-rounded person in this aspect. For example, at a party I may be talking to one person about last night's sports stats, another person about the Roman Empire, another person with stock news, and another person on who got voted off the island last night. So I won't pigeon hole (is that a word?) myself as a 'sports guy' or a 'movie buff' or a 'fantasy nerd' etc, because I'm a little of everything I find interesting. :). I like meeting new people that have interests I haven't been exposed to yet!
What am I looking for:
I'm looking for someone to partner with. In a perfect world, I am looking for the following traits:
Has a good sense of humor and like to laugh.
Has the travel bug and likes to visit new places (lets go to every continent in 2 years!)
Is willing to try my cooking (even if you have to be honest if my latest creation is terrible hah!) or even better cook with me....
The more versatile your interests, the better! For example, this might be someone who is down to go an art museum 1 day, a sports-game on another day, and to see a dumb horror movie on another day!
Is independent and career focused. This isn't a deal killer for me but I would enjoy learning about my partner's career and goals. if you are a working professional, it would be the icing on the cake, but again not an absolute requirement.
Enjoys their feminine side.
Someone who values fitness. You don't have to run an ironman or anything. However, I would like someone who would enjoy going to the gym with me or doing runs with me.
On the same token as above, someone who values nutrition. I ended my junk food phase a few years ago. This doesn't mean I don't like to go out to eat (i do so several times a week). It is just that I would rather prefer removing myself from the temptations of fast food drive-throughs and a fridge stocked with soda bottles.
Lastly, I'm looking for someone who values touch, intimacy, and has a great heart. Where to begin? Maybe I should have began with these points because that forms the bedrock of a relationship with me.
