⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ Japan has introduced child-abuse guidelines recognizing that threatening children with religious punishment, including frightening them with the concept of hell, can constitute psychological abuse.
The guidelines were developed in December 2022 by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare following growing concerns about children raised in religious environments where fear, threats, and coercion were used to control their behavior.
The issue gained national attention after the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in July 2022, which triggered intense scrutiny of the Unification Church and the financial and psychological pressures allegedly experienced by some members’ families.
Under the guidelines, threatening children with divine punishment or telling them they will go to hell unless they obey religious instructions may qualify as psychological abuse when such behavior causes fear or emotional harm.
Other concerning practices include preventing children from maintaining normal social relationships, forcing them to participate in religious activities, or interfering with their education and medical care.
Importantly, Japan has not banned teaching children about religion, heaven, hell, or religious beliefs.
The distinction concerns the use of religious teachings to intimidate, threaten, or psychologically control children rather than ordinary religious education.
Research in developmental psychology shows that prolonged exposure to fear and emotional threats during childhood can contribute to anxiety, stress, and difficulties with emotional regulation.
Japan’s approach reflects a broader effort to protect children’s welfare while respecting freedom of religion.
The guidelines are not a newly announced blanket law criminalizing discussions of hell. They provide guidance for identifying potentially abusive behavior and protecting children in harmful situations.

Not My Cup Of Tea❗️ Gross: Comedian Shane Gillis Repeatedly Calls Underage Girls “Hot Kids” and “Hottest P*ssy In The World” and admits to Googling underage girls
Source: I made this video. These clips are combined from a few random episodes of Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast and Shane Gillis’s special Live in Austin (2021). I did not have to search extensively to find strange clips like these, so I assume Shane says similar things about “hot kids” on many more of his podcast episodes.
In these clips, Shane Gillis basically keeps saying he finds 14-18 year old children to be “hottest p\*ssy” over and over again. He even essentially repeats the SNL joke about him drooling over “women dressing like wh\\\*res” but does it about 14 year old volleyball players.
Shane Gillis also admits to googling underage girls. So I guess that is supposed to be funny comedian humor we just don’t get or something as well?
It’s fairly clear to me that Shane was not being funny, ironic, or purposely offensive in these clips. The supposed “humor” seems to come from Shane saying taboo things he genuinely believes, under the assumption that everyone secretly agrees with him but is too afraid to say them out loud. Essentially, Shane is saying, “Come on, we all know kids are hot. You guys are just too ashamed to say it.” His male audience in these clips laughs and cheers at the idea and his supposed bravery.
90% of Shane Gillis’s humor seems to consist of saying taboo things out loud that loser (mainly white?) chud men believe but can’t say to anyone.
Shane Gillis’s humor is basically a way for loser guys to feel OK about being scared that their girlfriend or wife slept with a Black guy (Shane’s previous SNL monologue), believing that all women dress like whores (Shane’s latest SNL monologue), or, in this clip, believing that teenage girls are hot.
So Shane essentially exists as a validation mechanism for the loser chud men of the world and their sick thoughts. Shane Gillis is their fucked-up version of validation therapy. Essentially “your sick thoughts are valid, you are not weird or creepy, you are cool like me and don’t ever change.”
That’s why I expect so many of these weirdos to show up in the comments defending Shane. He validates their weird, sad thoughts and their weird, sad lives. And when someone criticizes Shane, they feel like someone is criticizing them personally.

Data centers are one of these issues that the vast majority of Americans agree on — Republicans and Democrats.
But the person who doesn't agree is Darlene Graham. And the reason she is so pro-data center — she says we need to get with the program and just keep building data centers — is because the data center and AI companies that want to build the data centers, are funding her campaign.
I called for a 2-year moratorium, because as i've traveled across south Carolina — to Spartanburg, and Walterboro, and Aiken, and i'm hearing from rural community members — they feel like they're getting steamrolled by these incredibly powerful, wealthy companies.
The only way to balance that power is a 2-year moratorium, so that we can really, you know, inform our local governments about how to negotiate with these large corporations.
We need protections to ensure ratepayers' rates don't go up, a real return to local control. And that's what a 2-year moratorium will accomplish.
Darlene's position on this is deeply unpopular, but she's gotta stick with it because those Folks are writing the scripts that she was reading on the stage last night.
