I want to buy a pokewalker on vinted but only if i can change the language. Does anybody know if its possible?

I am playing HeartGold for the first time and encountered Raikou on Route 37. I am playing on an emulator and saved as soon as the encounter started (yes, I’m save scumming 😓). Up until this point, the way I understood catch rates is that it’s determined once the ball is thrown, 4 checks that you must hit which corresponds to each shake etc. I only have one ultra ball that I am continuously throwing and reloading to throw again. I must have done this close to - if not over - 100 times and have yet to get even a single shake.
I am aware that this a low catch rate, and that I’ve done nothing to increase my odds as he is at full health. But from what I am reading online, it is a 0.8% catch rate at full health with an ultra ball; not a single shake in 100 throws seems like a statistical improbability (or maybe I’m worse at math than I thought), so now I’m wondering if maybe the first throw was maybe already predetermined from before where I saved? This doesn’t make too much sense in my head and I’m sure I’m just getting terrible luck, but seeing the instant breakout 100 times in a row is now making me second guess my already limited pokemon knowledge, so now I’m here!

TL;DR - I’ve thrown ~ 100 ultra balls and haven’t seen a single shake, is this catches’ odds predetermined once the encounter starts or are the RNG gods laughing at me yet again?

I know this is probably the least important question about these games, but I am curious.

Do you consider HGSS sequel of the remakes FireRed and LeafGreen since they came right before them? Or the original Red, Green and Blue, despite getting remake? Or is it Yellow, considering the composition of Red's team?

I personally am of the opinion that it's Yellow, because of Red's team having high levelled unevolved Pikachu and all Kanto starters. But Blue's team contradicting this, since he has all the Pokémon he used to replace starters in RB as well as FRLG, Arcanine, Gyarados and Exeggutor, plus Pidgeot and Rhydon. And Machamp for some reason, replacing his iconic Alakazam he still has in GSC. Blue's team in Yellow is different with only Exeggutor still being there. Still, since Blue often brags about how many Pokémon he caught through his journey, I consider his team less important than that of Red and therefore think HGSS are sequels to Yellow.

But I am curious about your opinion and thought process regarding this question.

I went with fluffy but I feel it's a bit too generic, that said I don't want to go too ridiculous. I feel like classic ferret names are also kind of overdone.

Hi, I've reached the Elite 4 already but I feel like my team is under-levelled. I'm just wondering what's the best method / best locations for quickly getting xp and levelling up my team? I've found all of the available rare candy so they're out of the question.

Where/how should I train? Any ideas? I want to get all of my Pokémon to the mid-40's at least in terms of levelling.

My team is in the attached image. If someone can give me some tips on the fastest way to level up that would be great, thanks.

I've got Lugia at Lvl 46 + Raikou at Lvl 40 + Feraligator at Lvl 38 but I'm wanting to avoid using my starter or any legendaries on this playthrough.

Barely scraped through against Lance. The 3 Dragonites are ridiculously hard. Really wished I’d levelled my pokemon up more and had more ice moves. But we managed to scrape through and secure the win. Playing this on my phone with the Delta emulator 😎

It should have been Heracross and Delibird so I need to keep going.

Last time I beat an elite 4 was probably a decade ago. Really fun playing though the ds games as I fell off pokemon after gen 3 and picked it up for x/y and sun and moon, then dropped it back off. Never touched a ds pokemon game so these have felt like new games. Also been loving the pokewalker.

Im debating completeing a "pokewalker pokedex" as some challenge as I even went out of my way to get the old mystery gift routes. It was so fun using it to get beldum, dratini, and a torchic super early in my playthrough.

I'm really just making this post so that I might pop up on google when someone has a similar issue to what I had.

In order to view the nat dex or johto dex diploma again in HGSS you need to upload your save to a save editor (I used PKHeX) and change the flag that tells the game that you've already seen the diploma.

The problem is PKHeX doesn't have that flag labeled anywhere as far as I know so I had to do some digging through old forums to figure out which one it is, which I assume a lot of people don't want to do.

You need to go PKHeX's "Event Flags" section and then its "Research" tab. You need to manually enter and then uncheck flags 323 and 324. One's probably johto dex and one's probably nat dex because the guy gives you both once you reload the exported save, but I can't be certain on which is which so you're better off just doing both.

Once you do that and save, replace your save file with PKHeX's exported one and you should be able to talk to the guy and see the diplomas again. I had to do this because I didn't realize the screenshot tool i was using only sc'd the top half of my 3ds.

To reiterate in case someone's concerned, this only changes whether or not the game thinks you've talked to this guy or not, it will not affect your dex or game at all in any other way.

Does anybody still play this game and has Masterballs for trade that theyve managed to farm? I truly only need 2 as my Pokemon are vastly under levelled for the elite 4 rematch. I need one for Ho Oh and Mewtwo.

Im using 178.62.43.212 for primary dns and I've tried all of 0.0.0.0, 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, and 178.62.43.212 for secondary. Am I not reaching the poke classic server? Is something wrong on my end?

(edit) SOLVED. So I was able to make it work with my android sharing my home wifi connection. Just had to change turn off a few over-cautious settings for my modem. Thanks yall!

Thank you everyone who commented, the positive feedback always made me smile. This was a fun little challenge; keeping to the spherical, of course, but also making a sacrifice move mandatory throughout the entire experience.

Post Script: i erased Earthquake for Rock climb, then erased that move using Chest once I got up there, and used the TM26 I never used until then to get my move back. HMs suck.
