Another drop event! Here's a quick explanation of the decks:

For Battle Task Completion :

1. Rayquaza + Gouging Fire: Pretty much the best Dragon-deck out there and somehow it satisfies all (or most) of the battle tasks. No contest.

For Auto Battling on Expert :

1. 18T Hoopa ex: Meowth cannot be annoying enough. Hoopa snipe bench effectively and the Cyrus-es and the Sabrinas are for sniping. A bit of gamble if Mega Garchomp online fast, but it's a pretty fast deck with just 2 Basics.
2. Galarian Obstagoon: A good non-ex options for bench sniping! Penny is pretty much Prof Research as that's the only Supporter the opponent has.
3. Sawk + Mega Lucario: Sawk pretty much ignores Meowth. The decks works fine but sometimes when Meowth is not the main threat, it can be a bit of a gamble with M.Lucario there.

(PS: The decks here are just one man's opinion with a very limited time (and currently on a business trip, waiting for flight back home, so cannot write and test much). There might be better decks out there that I hadn't thought of.)

Been playing now for about a month and I’m genuinely considering quitting purely because of the clunkiness of everything. Playing on an iPhone 16 pro with 60fps and med quality so everything should run as smooth as. Instead, the game has long loading times in between interfaces and just in general compared with other games it feels like I’m playing on an iPhone 11 with zero storage left.

Wtf?

For this new event the expert battle is easy enough it just takes forever when meowth constantly rolls heads everytime. I didn’t screenshot my draw game but I got this at turn 29. It’s just such a time waster

PAIN

Just got to masterball using a not conventional deck, not the best stats but it was fun.

The core idea is to get two Aegislash online as fast as possible to allow Togedemaru to do 180 total damages.

(100% win rate against Mega Blaziken btw)

From the +/- 15 matches I've done to complete the challenges, the CPU will always try to get meowth in active ASAP. With the odds semi rigged for the expert battle, those heads flips stall long enough for garchomp to sweep. After completing the first few challenges that required specific cards, I first tried hoopa ex to bench snipe and cyrus but the CPU always evolved before I could KO the basic, nearly lost every single time I tried Hoopa.

I then went to meowscarada meta deck to ignore the near invincible meowth all together, but then it started me with ogrepawn 5 times in a row so that homey got removed since it served no purpose in this match anyway. Haven't lost a single match since. Meowscarada being able to target empty bench slots is much better than hoopa, plus it doesnt trigger the coin flip every attack so saves some time.

CPU fills the bench left to right, so you can easily predict where their dratini or gibble is going to be placed. If they manage to get a dragonair before you can snipe the dratini, no problem just ignore it, wiping the gibbles and 2nd dratini is more important. I was literally targeting empty bench spots and the CPU still drops the basic, even if it means I get a third point to win.

Oddly enough if the CPU does high roll and gets mega chomp down early, it just let me snipe it to death. I mostly still try to just wipe the 2nd gibble and dratinis to prevent the CPU from having their energy to attack more than once every 2 turns, but I was very surprised the one game I decided to evolve a bench non-ex meowscarada to revenge KO the mega chomp, it just let me snipe it to death while building the non-ex chomp on its own bench.

Meow EX + heals + leaf cape is most likely living 2 hits from non-ex chomp, so again you can just ignore that entirely and keep sniping the benched dratini, dragonair, or gibble. That meowth can suck a fat one, go ahead keep drawing more cards idgaf cuz im KO your bench the second you drop it.

This deck is honestly the most fun I’ve had in a long time.

Immediately after reading about the new maximum of 36 bonus points for a 10-streak victory, and saying yeah, sure, cool and all, but when am I actually going to get one, I immediately proceeded to get one. Won so fast that I got into Masters by the 7th or 8th win in less than an hour, and got the other ones afterwards. Very cool!

Comparing to Mega Rayquaza:

- 220 HP means it is outside of Lucarios OHKO (basic Lucario + Arena of Antiquity + Korrina = 210 damage)
- 190 damage means it will OHKO Mega Lucario and other Megas. You can even swap it in to the active before Mega Lucario to knock out a pokemon unless Lucario has a cape
- 3 energy compared to 4 on Rayquaza (190 compared to 200 damage) but in order to do another strong attack you need both Dragonairs compared to only one for Garchomp
- Garchomp takes more effort to build than Rayquaza but together with Drampas you can usually stall long enough to build him on the bench. Of course this is it’s main weakness since your deck will brick sometimes
- Stalling until you get Garchomp online will always put you at the risk of a Sabrina when you lost two point before you could build it since you can’t use it without at least one Dragonair on the bench
- One of Rayquazas biggest advantage is that you can pair it with Gouging Fire. Otherwise Rayquaza would be the worse card in my opinion

All in all I want to say it is definitely one of the better promo cards.

This is the deck I am using to farm the new solo event. Just sharing for those who might not be aware.

The drop events are notorious for giving me suspiciously bad luck, but this was intermediate. Why am I already suffering? Lol I can't win by turn 14, if I don't get an electric energy until 15!

Not only do they get the exact card they need every turn along with winning a coin flip almost everytime, but I don't get ANYTHING. Like this isn't the game being harder, it's legitimately not fair

Yeah pretty much what the title says I just had back-to-back ranked games against the same guy. The games played out almost identically as well haha.

For some reason the AI doesn't like electrode and will ignore attacking it so you can just chip the garchomp and ignore the meowths

I like building weird shit, and Ive found that the Jumpluff EX that is basically U-Turn, and Sylveon (Heal 30 if it has a Tool) are great Tech cards for some decks.

Here's a deck for people who complain about Meowth in the event. I give you Sawk Fossils.

Now, this isn't an 'always gonna win' deck, but I have more wins than losses with it in the event, and I managed to finish it in about 2 hours.

This deck has the same normal problem that all fossil decks do, relying on fossils. Since theres technically only 2 cards that actually fetch fossils, and normally you'd auto include Copycat, I noticed with the event that the AI's handsome was always about 2-3 cards that Copycat wasn't actually worth a slot.

The Sabrinas are for disruption, as is the Aerodactyl EX. But the best card in the deck is the Armaldo. The AI is terrible, and if you always select the active slot with Armaldo, if the AI thinks they can attack, they'll always pull M-Garchomp to the front, and it's a free win.

I've been experimenting with the new Mega Chomp all morning and finally settled on this version as the most consistent. Went on a 6 game win streak in ranked, surprisingly. I tried to use Rocket's Radicate, Mantyke, Ultra Instinct Meowth and some other variations, but they all sucked in comparison. Mega Rayquaza is definitely better overall, but it's been fun giving the landshark a chance. Anybody had any luck using the card without the Dragonair support?

Before you thank me for keeping the game free I did get really lucky with double crown god pack 😂 but I do not claim F2P

It refuses to load me in, just sits there with the loading cycle without giving an error message, but I'm seeing people are able to access the game right now... I'm suspecting a region specific outage but it's gonna be a very specific region if-so.
