Is low HDL on anabolic really bad? NSFW
I’ve been researching some of the lipid effects from different steroids. I see a lot of people speaking about the dangers of low HDL from certain anabolics. Some of the research I have come across suggests that the low HDL stems from increased breakdown (meaning increased clearance by the liver) as opposed to an effect of insulin resistance. This later factor is what I think people are afraid of: people with low HDL/high TG’s often have metabolic disease in the spectrum of insulin resistance and diabetes. Therefore the thought would be low HDL is “bad.”Just curious if there any experts or medical doctors who can provide any additional information.
