I was on a short walk and discovered an old road that went up to the top of this long ridge. At the end of the road was just these old metal posts. I am guessing this was where a bunch of fences connected - dating back to when this was rangeland.
I decided to keep going and followed the ridge. It was a lot rougher than it looks. I was not prepared for a long hike so when I got to this big gouge across the ridge that would make me scramble up and down a ten foot wall of boulders I decided to turn back. But the views were worth it. Beautiful country here!!!

This magical place is known as Golden Falls and is one of Iceland's most famous natural attractions. It is located in the southwest, within the canyon of the HvΓtΓ‘ River, a massive gorge stretching approximately 2.5 kilometers in length and reaching depths of up to 70 meters.

I recently finished painting this mountain lake, and I thought you guys might appreciate it! ποΈ
I swear, no matter how hard you try, it's almost impossible to capture just how breathtaking mountains are in real life. But I hope I managed to capture at least a little bit of that magic!
What do you think? Does it remind you of somewhere you've been?
