It appears that the GOG version of the original Oblivion has received native controller support on PC.

I noticed my stuff started glitching out after purchasing upgrades for the pirate cove. Started out as just some ingredient information missing when selling stuff to the fence there. I went through the part of the mythic dawn quest where you get the mysterium xerxes and everything was fine. I went back to my house (the dark brotherhood vampire one) to pick up an item and when I left the whole landscape started freaking out as if I had clipped through a mountain in Skyrim. I went back to a save where everything was fine but it's still glitching. What do I do?

I’ve been playing Skyrim since 2014 and never set foot in Cyrodiil. I guess the graphics were what put me off (yeah, I know that’s a lame excuse), but here I am anyway. I’ve had the game on Steam for a long time and never dared to give it a try. I just started playing it yesterday, and wow, I’m hooked. There’s something about it that keeps me coming back to play and explore its world.

What advice can you give me as a newcomer to these lands?

Hail citizens. Now that the guards were taken care of everyone had a pleasant rest of the evening. Pally even started taking to another individual and he wasn’t under any spells! He just casually left the building with everyone else. I don’t expect him to be that good ever. I’m not sure why he did this time. Beggars can’t be choosers!

So, Rythe Lythandas is the guy with the Brush of Truepaint. Supposedly it's made with the hair of Dibella. It has the magical ability to create what appears to be pocket dimensions inside paintings and insert whatever the user wants into the painting. It sounds incredibly amazing, right?

Anyway Rythe has been using it to scam people for over 200 years. People think he's a brilliant painter, but he's actually just cheating with his magic brush. By the time of Skyrim, he's still selling painted troll fat (which can only be created with the Brush of Truepaint).

If Dibella is a goddess of the arts, why is she okay with Rythe gaining fame for doing nothing but pretending to paint? The brush was originally given to Rythe's father, who got both his arms exploded by a fireball and couldn't paint anymore. But Rythe has both his arms! He doesn't need the brush! Surely Dibella would be able to take the brush away from him since he's not using it for its intended purpose?

I remember playing Oblivion years ago and there being an altar of some kind. And if you slept on it, you became a vampire. Am I remembering this correctly? And if so, where is that fort? I remember it being towards Kvatch,

So when I first started up oblivion and pressed new game, the game crashed. Most of you guys here say that the way to fix this without mods is to turn on the settings: run as administrator, disable full screen optimizations, and turn on compatibility mode for windows 7. But when I did that... this happened instead... do any of you guys know what to do about this?

Ps: I didn't record the first time I ran into this problem, obviously. (OS is windows 11 btw)

In the original Game below the temple of the one lies a door that will send you to the end of the game, soon as you have got out the sewers you can go here you can use the paint brushes to get above the collision and fall in and go into this door the stain will trigger the last Quest in the game skipping everything.

I am wondering if the exact same door it exists in the remaster, as I don't have a way to know

Turn based combat without the enemy being allowed a turn amirite.

When I play Skyrim, I often roleplay as an Imperial who wants to go back to his homeland, which led to his near execution and his discovery that he is Dragonborn. After realizing the looming threat of Alduin, he believes that Skyrim must be united before facing Alduin so he slowly builds his reputation from Whiterun to Falkreath, Morthal, Markarth, and Solitude which he is recognized as Thane of Solitude and Dragonborn. In Oblivion, how do I roleplay which justify me exploring other cities before finally doing the main quest which the Oblivion gate opens? For example, in Skyrim, this is how I did.

Whiterun -> High Hrothgar -> Falkreath-> Markath -> Morthal -> Solitude. Then Dawnstar, Winterhold, and Windhelm as an Imperial spy trying to gather intelligence from the Stormcloaks. Once the civil war is done, go back to the main quest and deal with Alduin.

I realized it had been a good min since I’ve played Oblivion! I sort of remembered where I was at? Then I remembered I had started a new game cuz I lost my old save 😒 I had gotten pretty far in this new save… BUT THEN I REMEMBERED! I was originally playing from my disc!!! So of course… I then remembered this memory two damn days later and popped that bad boy in! and my original save loaded up!! 🥹 but I can’t remember wtf I was doing. I looked through my inventory and baby I was BUSY!! I got stuff I shouldn’t have 🤣 so I looked at my last save date… 1/29/2018 💀 DEAD ASS! I dunno wtf I was doin! 😭 but I DO KNOW I was on some BS! 🤣 anyways I’ve been on the the side of a roof on a building in Bruma for 8 years… any idea WHY I would be here? Like… maybe to steal something? 👀 is there ANYTHING good for me to be here in Bruma for 8 years? 😭 lol serious question tho. It would literally have to be something WORTH IT! Cuz again… I was on some BS lol… but I also can’t remember and I’m scared to move cuz I see people running 😬 help

Its located in the starting area right before u exit to sewers. My boyfriend (featured) parkoured all the way up here and we found 2 doors, one each spot but they are locked.

We are curious souls and really wanna know whats in those rooms. I tried to google but with no success.
