Failed 3 nursing exams

I feel so dumb, I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m in my first semester of nursing school only 9 weeks in and I’ve already failed 3 exams. Passing score is 76% and I also need a flat 100% on med math. I got a 92%. The rest of my class is so smart, they know everything and seem to be passing every exam. I feel like the odd one out, with imposter syndrome. Sometimes I wonder how I even got in the program. I study the same way everyone else is. I do great in sim labs, check offs and all of my assignments! But when the exams come around I choke!! I can only fail 1 more and I have 4 more exams before the semester ends…

Does the college matter

I'm a veteran returning to school, but does it really matter where I get my bsn as long as it is accredited?

I've been accepted into Charleston southern pre nursing and I've applied to UNC charlotte, Clemson, and a handful of other schools in sc/nc.

so does it really matter at the end of the day which one I go too. all of them are accredited both nationally and regionally

"Everyone Fails Cardiac" Question

So my school has used the line "everyone fails the cardiac exam" (at this school that is definitely true and ive spoken to many people who have attended previously (over the course of years since a lot of the students that went to my college end up where I am currently working I have a good network of people that have done this college's program anywhere from 1-15 years ago).

We just had our med surg cardiac exam and everyone bombed it (class average was 70). Now I don't think the whole everyone fails thing is entirely true. Is cardiac difficult, absolutely. Is this exam maybe lower than normal across the board, probably. I find it hard to believe that in every nursing program students are getting anywhere from 30-70 on the cardiac exam though and I believe the professor and the specific questions chosen are the problem.

For anyone who is at the point where they've taken the cardiac exam or are already done with the program, can you shed any light on this? My professor even said the exam scores were "lower than expected" but that we were "just nervous this time around" (they always find a way to turn it on us without taking any responsibility at all and it's infuriating). Am I wrong for feeling like the problem is this professor and that this exam is bullshit and has been for many years?

Any advice or thoughts are appreciated, thank you

Hey Guys!

Is anyone taking Pathophysiology or Pharmacology prior to Spring 2027 cohort? And if so which platform can I take it through right now? I heard Portage is an option but I am willing to take elsewhere if its an option

Experience/insights with the LACC nursing program?

Hi, I've just submitted my TEAS and applied for the Spring nursing program at LACC. I know it's lottery based so it's a long shot I'll even be accepted but because I'm a mom to two kids I need to start planning now. I was wondering what did your class schedule look like? I'm trying to get a feel for what the first semester will look like time wise as in typical start time for class and end time for the day. Any another anecdotes, good or bad about the program I'd appreciate!

Nursing requirements

Hey guys I recently got accepted to MCs nursing program and they have a health requirements like physical and titers that we have to submit. I currently don't have a health insurance. I am trying to get one but the open enrollment period starts on Nov 1st and the insurance starts on January 2027. I've to submit the required documents by December 30 and I was wondering if anyone is going through the same thing? I'd be fine to pay out of pocket but it's a little expensive. I'd like to hear your suggestions

Nursing at UniSC

Hi everyone! ☺️
I was recently studying my Diploma of Nursing at TAFE, but unfortunately, I didn’t really enjoy the learning experience. I’m now considering studying a Bachelor of Nursing Science at UniSC instead.
I was wondering if anyone is currently studying or has previously studied nursing at UniSC, either at the Sunshine Coast or Gympie campus?
I’d love to hear some honest opinions about your experience, including the pros and cons, what the teaching staff are like, and how much support is available for students.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you ☺️

Bridge programs

I’m very conflicted and don’t know which program to do. I’m an LPN trying to bridge to RN, I have majority of my prereqs already done just need a&p2 & microbio. I’m wondering if I should transfer schools (currently at a CC) due to not being able to do the program once accepted because I won’t have adequate childcare. I thought about doing an online program but I keep seeing things about it not being accepted in every state when looking for a job. For those that have done the online bridge programs did you have any trouble finding jobs in other states ?

Will I pass my drug test?!! NSFW

Hi everyone!

Okay so, I quit smoking September 14 after being a chronic smoker for years. I’ve recently started getting faint negative lines on my at home drug tests specifically for thc obviously lol.

I’m starting nursing school in January and my 10 panel drug screen and background check are due December 1. Even though I have time, I really want to get everything done ASAP lol.

Has anyone passed a lab drug test with a line this faint, or should I wait longer? Any advice or comments would be appreciated :)

And no I don’t plan on smoking again it was a college thing lol.
