Everyone knows salmon is meant to be smoked or cured, and occasionally eaten raw when fresh

I’m vegan, so this helped me out. Would microwaving it be gross?

Very. While yes it's cooked theres something about it that isn't right, sure it got hot and all but real external heat makes all the difference be it grill oven or pan. Plus the stank of microwaving any fish

The paper towel is the key here, it steams the fish and would cook it consistently. 

I'd never do it, hot pan or BBQ for me every time.

I'm big on wrapping it in wax paper with lemon slices, oil, capers and some dill. Then wrapping that package in foil and then baking it in the oven so it steams in its own juices and the lemon 👌
