This post is for the guy who recorded Peach Momoko with meta glasses after staff EXPLICITLY TOLD US SHE WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH IT and then proceeded to post it on tiktok with the caption “finally fulfilled my bucket list”—YOU SUCK! Have a little respect. Peach went above and beyond this year for the fans despite having such a horrible experience the last time she was here. She did her best to make sure EVERYONE got a signature including all the people who didn’t win the autograph lottery in standby, and you couldn’t respect the one thing she asked of us. You’re a dick.

They’re just filled with glorified five below stuff, why were there so many vendors?

Hi. I know it’s after the convention, but I’m trying to figure out if there are any resources for how to report something that happened while at the convention.

What Happened:
In 2025, my boyfriend was pulled for a mini-shoot with a photographer at the con. He said it was really weird, the photographer kept touching his muscles and my boyfriend was gone for a long time. He gave the photographer his insta to get the photos and noticed he was getting lots of weird messages from him, nothing out right damning but very frequent and they felt sexual in nature.

I wasn’t there for the shoot, so I didn’t get all this info until some time later. When we talked about it, my boyfriend said afterward that he was so shocked by what was going on he that kinda just complied. He thought that maybe the guy had a learning disability or autism and didn’t want to make him uncomfortable, but that he felt groped and harassed. He ended up blocking the guy and it had been so long after the con, he decided to just let it go.

We went to the con this year. A photographer comes up to my boyfriend and immediately says “what happened to your instagram?” I didn’t recognize him but my boyfriend does. My boyfriend is clearly feeling uncomfortable and trying to cut the convo short while still being cordial. The photographer keeps trying to pull my boyfriend for a mini shoot, we decline and he grabs my boyfriends chest in front of me. Fully groped his pecs in front of me. Then, I realize who it is. Immediately, I tell the photographer we are leaving and remove my boyfriend from the situation. I ask him what he would like to do. He just wanted to avoid the guy and enjoy the rest of the convention, but now he realizes how weird it is and okayed me to report the photographer on his behalf. I still think my boyfriend doesn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but I hold that this IS something that is a big deal.

I don’t want my boyfriend to be worried about seeing him at the next con and I don’t want anyone else to feel cornered or groped by this guy. I tried the app and I can no longer find a report button. I can’t find any email addresses to send this info to either. I have the photographer’s instagram handle and full name. Please let me know if you have any information on how to report this to NYCC.

I was lucky enough to get a signed Tokidoki card and sketch from Simone Legno, signed copy of Midnight X-Men #1 from Peach Momoko, a sketch variant cover of the same book and some cute plushies and my favorite bear Rilakkuma in Funko form.

Also purchased the strangest NYCC merch, the stainless steel water bottle that must hold 3 sips of water which also is a backpack charm

Honest question, I went and took my photos with people and went to booths and activities afterwards. I noticed on Instagram the same people with these big clunky cosplays that they spent thousands of dollars or hours on, are always in the same place. Are they just paying to go in and take photos, or do they enjoy the convention at some point?

Here's (most) of my NYCC haul for my first time going! Not all the issues I got are in the main picture bc they were packed already but all the signed ones are there; Steve Orlando, Jim Zub, Jackson Lanzing & Collin Kelly were my primary hits. I didn't want to brave Peach's table for my SW cover so I missed that one, and Tran Nguyen I kept missing all weekend somehow lmao. The CA Brubaker #1, the weird Chevrolet Winter Soldier promo issue & the Winter Kills issue were most of my other back issue finds. Definitely submitting the Winter Kills one to CGC as it's in pretty good shape and I have always wanted a graded copy of it!

My insane surprise is the last 2 pictures. TL;DR I, like some folks who've been posting on here, missed my Sebastian Stan autograph session due to him leaving early on Friday after a bad fan interaction. I was disappointed but ultimately kind of relieved because I wouldn't have wanted to have had a bad interaction with him myself following that. Well today I was shopping in NYC with a friend and we stopped in to Book-Off in Times Square, and they had the IW Bucky Barnes Hot Toys figure for sale second-hand there. Since my full refund for the autograph had gone through I used that money to buy it... only to realize when I got back to my hotel that the box was actually honest-to-God signed by Sebastian Stan. A few people have told me so far that it looks authentic, and I'm going to go with it being so until proven otherwise because holy cow, what a story! The store definitely did not notice it otherwise they wouldn't have been selling it for $200 - I barely saw it myself until it was under direct lightning. The figure retails for much more than that normally as well, so I got an absolute steal <3

Alls well that ends well as they say, and this was a truly incredible way to finish off my first-ever NYCC trip! I think next time I don't need to do all four days, that was my lesson learned 🫡 especially since I came all the way from Canada for this. That, and bring waaaaay more cash 😂
