Dua & Advice 🤲📿 Make Dua for Victims of Sexual Slavery and Human Trafficking

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, dear brothers and sisters.

Please make sincere dua for every victim of sexual slavery, human trafficking, sex dungeons, and sexual exploitation. May Allah grant them freedom, protection, healing, and justice, guide those responsible towards sincere repentance, and bring an end to every system that profits from human suffering.

May Allah fill our hearts with His love and mercy, protect the oppressed, and liberate every enslaved soul.

Ameen ya Rabbal Alameen.

Rant & Vent 😩 I'm tired. (Tw: Suicide, Mental Health.)

I might literally just hang myself right in the middle of the living room at this family reunion to prove a point that I matter and that all of you were just bystanders when I was getting bullied/abused/neglected.

When I explained my health issues to my mom and aunt. They dismissed it. And I started to get frustrated and told them that the reason why it even got to this point is because my mom and dad never took me seriously when I told them. And they let it get bad.

When I've been telling them, YEARS that I'm in pain. And when they do take me, at that point, whatever body part was affected is now too late to fix and I have to sit with it for the rest of my life. And immediately the PTSD kicked in and I immediately had a mental break down. I've gone to so many doctors across the world. Making the appointments for myself only to just be ignored when I also them to take me to go do a follow up.

I sobbed and yelled at her saying that she doesn't get it. And that my aunt (who was next to her) just watched me get beaten till black and blue and my nose bleed as a child. I'm heavily frustrated. I wish I could just, get over it. I keep remembering those moments and it doesn't help to just, come to terms with it.

I take my meds. I do what I can. But in the end, I'm not even getting support from the people around me who are supposed to love me and help me. Why do you even claim to love me if you don't even like me?

Why tell me that I'm lucky that my mother hadn't just killed me that day and that I'm lucky to have parents? Why are you even comparing me to the orphans in the orphanage that want and need parents and not comparing yourself to the couples who yearn for a child to love and be responsible for? I'm literally trying my hardest to just keep breathing. And the more I live on, the more I realize that there aren't many reasons to look forward to my future. I don't have any goal or something I want to do.

All of my future is forced on me. And when I reject the idea, all I have is to be backed into a corner and just suck it up.

And the more I want to force myself to understand and hang on. The more my arms get tired and just want to let go and drop. There isn't exactly much to hang on for.

Because when I wanna tell someone that is supposed to love me and just like me for me and not for what I can do or exist for, I just get disappointed over and over again even though I had already understood that nothing would change. And I mourn for myself the disappointment every single time I try to look for it.

Guys, please love your kids because you do and not because you have to just because it's your kid. That child is your amanah and many people want kids but don't have the Rizq to do so.

Don't compare them to the orphans in the orphanage that want and need parents and compare yourself to the couples who yearn for a child to love and be responsible for.

Because at the end of the day, there's always a kid who wanted their parents to just love them without being stuck in a limbo with the thought of whether or not their parent likes them. And no child should go through that.

I know Allah is always with me. But when the people around me, dismiss my pain with saying, Allah is always with you and to just stop crying. Calm down, and enough is enough, I lose my faith and I lose my trust in Islam.

Discussion & Debate🗣️ How true is this about Latinizing Muslim Scholars Name?

I saw this Short (see the first comment) claiming that the West Latinized Muslim scholars’ names to erase their Islamic identity and downplay Islam’s contributions to science. How true is this claim? I never thought of it that way, never crossed my mind, but it makes sense somehow.

Quran/Hadith 🕋 I feel completely lost and disconnected from the Quran. How do I rebuild my relationship with it?

I feel completely lost and disconnected from my relationship with the Quran, and I don't feel like this is what Allah expects from me.

As a non-Arabic speaker, I don't know the language, but I have dedicated time to studying Juz Amma, and I was just about to start studying from Surah Al-Hujurat.

However, I’ve hit a wall. I feel like modern Quran studies have become a stressful race for quantity and memorization just to finish chapters, rather than focusing on transformation.

I recently learned about how Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) studied the Quran. It took him about two years just to learn Surah Al-Baqarah because he and the Companions focused entirely on beneficial knowledge (Ilm Nafi') and immediate action (Al-Amal).

They wouldn't move to the next verses until they lived by the previous ones.
Right now, I feel totally 'out of touch' and like I’m completely missing the mark. How do you manage this pressure?

How can a non-Arabic speaker break away from this race for quantity and rebuild a meaningful, action-based relationship with the Quran according to the true Sunnah?

I would love to hear your advice or personal experiences on how to shift focus from just reading/memorizing to actually living the Quran.

Dua & Advice 🤲📿 BPD and prayer

I'm a revert now of 11 years. I've struggled with mental health very young. My family started getting me tested at 3 years old cause I exhibited concerning sighn. It wasn't until I was post partum that I was diagnosed with CPTSD and BPD. ( complex post traumatic stress disorder and Bipolar disorder).

I take my medication, which is Zoloft and Atrax. This combination works for me. I know antidepressant are frowned upon treating BPD, but I've been great.

I'm struggling with praying, and I wanted to know how anyone else who takes medication or have diagnosis help themselves to stay in touch with prayer.

Discussion & Debate🗣️ "Islam doesn't need feminism" but...

• Upvotes

Islam doesn't need feminism, but Muslims most certainly do.

Being Muslim and a feminist are treated as mutually exclusive by muslims as well as Islamophobes. Yet, Islam is a dynamic faith that is heavily shaped by the traditions and cultures where it flourished.

What many people fail to understand is that patriarchy is a construct that exceeds any religion and influences its practitioners.

There is a truth to the claim that "Islam doesn't need feminism" - a religion that has love and justice at his heart shouldn't need movements to fight oppression.

Nonetheless, by todays standards, we need the movement more than ever to find back to a faith that is not corrupted by modern-day s3xism, rAcism, and fAscism.

We need feminism to shift our conversations from marriage and women's behavior to the fight against oppression and injustice.

Question ❓ Is it Blasphemy/Shirkh to Say or Think the following?

God (Allah SWT) is an energy and the greatest gift whilst in Jannah is to seeing the "face" of this energy.

The reason why I say Allah is an energy is:

  1. In physics, the first law of thermodynamics is that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transferred. And in Islam, we know Allah was not created and cannot be destroyed.

  2. Allah has 99 names, another example of energy being transferred

The law of physics cannot be broken, at least here in earth. Unless Allah wills, of course.

Maybe I'm reaching, I don't know but I appreciate your answers
