With the recent Paramount WB merger going through, we now live in a reality where a movie studio COULD make a Street Fighter x Mortal Kombat movie, even the cast of Street Fighter per an IGN review would be down for it.

That could be the coolest shit we can see, Johnny Cage going one on one with Ken Master, Lui Kang vs Ryu, Guile vs Sonya Blade.

MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3 lead to Trilogy with all the previous characters

MK4, MK Gold, MKDA, MKD lead to Armageddon with all the previous characters

MK9, MKX, MK11, MK1 should lead to a game that at the least includes all previous characters from MK9 to MK1. They can reuse assets, animation and movesets all they want to get the large roster done.

In my opinion I think that there's just too many characters in Armageddon that kind of ruins the game I know it was meant to be like the last mortal Kombat for this timeline but I feel like having so many characters ruins the game

I recently posted about enjoying MK11 story and I just started MK1. I struggle to get into it from the beginning, I hope it gets better...

EDIT : I didnt intend to hate, it's a great game and I enjoy it. Just wanted to share my impression as someone who played MK11 as their first MK ever. MK1 story is still fun to play and I will put a lot of hours into the game.

Personally I always liked Sonya since the original Mortal Kombat always thought the Energy Ring was cool.

I wanted both movies to be good, but at least MK II got favorable reviews.

Is it possible to get banned in MK11 right now for using an unlocker—specifically, by clicking an option to unlock everything instantly?

Seeing as how Kotal flopped in MKX & MK11 (beheaded by Shao & Sindel), there must be something the New Era can do for Kotal next game. I mean for an Aztec/Mayan inspired character, he's got potential if done right.

How will he be fixed & redeemed after how he was a failure?

He's got some good special moves. But his character went up to downhill.

I decided to play the 3D-era games in the franchise, and I was impressed by how the older titles featured intros that truly helped the player understand the story and feel motivated to play. Five-minute cutscenes managed to explain the narrative better than the nonsensical, convoluted plots found in the more recent *MK11* and *MK1*.

Does anyone remember the “who’s next campaign” and how intense the months leading up t MKX was? The netherrealm developers did live streams bit by bit showcasing new characters and everyone was tuning in, the petition era of fans gathering together to petition for the return of certain characters, the keeping up with every Ed Boon tweet: I might be speaking for myself a little but man that was so hype. I mean after all it was the next game after MK9’s huge success. I miss the hype like that and I hope the next MK title comes back to its roots a little bit. Fuck kameos mk1 is the first MK I really stepped away from. It almost feels like test your luck for me.

Man, I wanted this movie SO BAD back in 5th grade in 2003. 😭

I remember watching Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and seeing Raiden say his goodbyes to everyone toward the end. Even as a kid, I remember thinking, “Yeah, he’ll be back.” 😂

I was 100% convinced there was going to be a third movie. Not a doubt in my mind.

I used to imagine what the next movie would look like, who would return, what new characters we’d see, and where the story would go after that ending.

And then… nothing.

It’s just wind and air😐

Years later, after digging around for information about the planned third film, Mortal Kombat: Devastation, the only interesting details I’ve come across are that Johnny Cage was supposedly going to return and Quan Chi was expected to play a prominent role.

Beyond that? Nothing but rumors, speculation, and a whole lot of unanswered questions.

It’s crazy how a movie that never even got made can still live rent-free in your head over 20 years later.

I've been thinking about a Mortal Kombat fancast, and I think Hiroyuki Sanada as Raiden and Tadanobu Asano as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion could work really well together.

Hiroyuki Sanada is older than Tadanobu Asano, which I think could help create an interesting dynamic between the two characters. Sanada has the presence, wisdom, and experience to portray an older Raiden, while Asano could bring intensity, mystery, and a dangerous warrior's spirit to Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion.

I can imagine them sharing some great scenes together, especially serious conversations about honour, revenge, destiny, and the protection of Earthrealm.

I think their acting styles and Japanese martial arts cinema backgrounds could make their scenes feel powerful and authentic.
