I spent 2 hours developing this combo from scratch and I didn't even got the TOD. In a real match it'd use all 5 bars and the entire drive bar, obviously.

In KOF XV I spent 10-ish minutes per character and I managed to pull off a TOD for each one I tried until I got bored.

(I do not like watching any guides on how to combo so I literally invented this and every other combo I do, I just based off 1 or 2 things I watched on the trials)

Since XIII Global Match didn't allow default health or KOs in training, I had to record this in Versus Mode. That was when I learned about handicap mode! Thank goodness the SNK folks included the options. I don't see them too often these days.

Also, I'm pretty sure this ToD was already known, but I doubt anyone would believe me if I said that I found this by accident. Imagine my surprise when that happened.

• KOF 2002 Special Edition 2004

• KOF 2002 10th Anniversary 2005

• Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2003 (the KOF 2001 hack)

Are there any other KOF 2002 hacks, or hacks of other KOF games, that actually change the stages and/or music?

I'm specifically looking for real arcade releases/ROMs (MVS/Neo Geo or other arcade hardware), not MUGEN games or PC mods.

Even obscure bootlegs with barely any documentation would be interesting. If you know any names or have gameplay footage, please share!

Unfortunately, besides Reddit's image compression, if you are viewing this on a monitor below 1080p you won't be able to see the shading hatch lines, but they look super crisp in-game.

I managed to find a way to focus the outlines and hatch lines more on the characters and less on the stage/background.

I think about this topic a lot, I’m not suggesting that the New Faces team need to be redeemed fully or become heroic. But I think it would be interesting if they were put in a situation where they would have to protect the humans they hate so much somewhat, and maybe it could potentially lead to a reevaluation of their beliefs. Again, not stating they don’t have to be antagonistic, but I think it’d be way more interesting than simply reviving them to rehash their same plan from KOF ‘97.
