Looks like Mattel has a solid appreciation for their resellers. Couldn’t get one on either drop, and it was my damn birthday.
I will be discontinuing all of my Mattel purchases, and not renewing any memberships since it’s obviously super important to them that they sell out in under 5 minutes to predator resellers instead of giving collectors a fair shot at the dolls.

After yesterday’s dumpster fire drop, I said I was done with Mattel. But I already have the membership, and realized I hadn’t been prepared for how fast it would go. Hypocritical, I know, but I am only a collector!

But today I was reminded how my ADHD hyperfocus can work in my favor. I knew the setup this time, so I got serious and locked in. It went surprisingly smoothly, so maybe a little spite helped too. I despise scalpers, and they were not winning twice 😭

Okay so

I ordered the Michael Myers doll back in August during the Fang Club sale specifically so it would come sooner. It ‘shipped’ September 17th but hasn’t moved in a month. I emailed support probably a week or two
ago and after some back and forth they told me I’d get a new one within 10-14 business days. However, when I received the confirmation email, it told me it would ship around April 30th, 2027. They then confirmed that the date was correct. Is it crazy to ask for my money back + still ask for the doll? I just feel like this whole situation is crazy and i’m so frustrated by it.

How do you sell out of preorders?!?! It makes it seem more like they already have the dolls and we’re just trying to get more money. Which if you already have the dolls then why do we have to wait PRACTICALLY A YEAR! and if you don’t have any more dolls made and it was actually a pre order, how the heck did you “sell out” on preorders. MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE!!!! I’m grateful I got her but wth is going on…..

After yesterday’s nightmare, I was actually able to secure her today and I’m so happy! Who else got lucky today and who is in mourning? 🩷

I’ve seen multiple people getting dragged online from buying from resellers.
Many people used the excuse “well she has two releases just wait for the pre order”
The pre order sold out in less than 10 minutes from what I saw.

Many people I see complaining about resellers are the same people buying 2 dracs and keeping both or just for trading one to people who couldn’t get it because they bought it..

I really feel like this hobby has just made the community crumble. People who could get her on Mattel judging people who couldn’t and people who couldn’t get her attacking people who could.

Realistically this isn’t on collectors or resellers this time it’s on Mattel. Mattel definitely knows the reseller problem, yet they do nothing because they still get money. They try to pretend like they had no idea but they definitely did.

Instead of being at each others throats why don’t you complain to Mattel instead? It’s more productive than bullying people over the doll. Sorry.

Edit: I’m not defending resellers, yeah they suck. But only placing blame on resellers and not on the company allowing resellers isn’t productive.

i got lucky with the fang club release, and earlier today, i saw someone mention that theirs had already shipped, while mine still just says “confirmed” on the website and in my email. i know they ship in batches throughout the week, but i’m a little worried after seeing people mention their orders getting cancelled?? i knew mattel handled the drop horribly, but you aren’t safe even after receiving a confirmation email?? to think that actual collectors aren’t getting at least one doll, even after successfully paying, while scalpers got 20+ dolls is just bonkers... praying there aren’t as many issues with krampus as there were with draculaura.

Okay so as we all know the darculuara drop yesterday was a complete failure. Just a mess. Is it going to be w0rth my time to go through hassle of trying to get her in an hour when she’s released to buy for my time zone? I really do like her design but she’s not gonna be coming till next year and this whole thing is such a freaking mess.

I thrifted this draculaura a few days ago and i’m wondering why she’s gigantic? i’ve never seen this before and i was hoping to somehow get the stain off her face? i’ve had many draculaura dolls in the past but never seen this before 😭

Oh boy, I hope I wrote/flared this correctly! My fiance is a huge monster high fan, and thus, a giant Draculaura fan like many of you.
I have a very quick processor and a great internet connection, so I told her I would get the draculaura for her, because I managed to get the last Skullector (Jack and Sally) that she wanted. I felt confidence and thankfully snagged It!
So here’s where I run into an issue/question. I saw the amount of scalpers and worried collectors, So I went ahead and snagged two.

I know there’s no certainty on the internet, but I’m hoping to figure out some way to get the 2nd one to another collector who missed out.

I know there are secret resellers and a ton of collectors who missed out. Therefore, I guess I’m asking how you guys would go about this? How do I fairly choose a collector to help out? And is there any way to be sure I’m talking to a real lover of the doll? I don’t want to be part of the problem. I really only did this incase there was someone like my fiance devastated out there. Any tips or ideas are welcome! I hope this is written clearly enough

i set two alarms for her and when she was in my cart and i was checking out she sold out because the website was buggy.... i am so upset i really dont know what to do. i dont want to pay off the scalpers who are the most worthless people on earth. what are my options at this point??? i am genuinely heartbroken and i cried abt her like i havent been this in love with a doll in a long while. i dont know what to do. im sure i am just one person in a sea who feel the same as i do. its horrible. why is mattel like this??? do they hate money??? why dont they make more stock of the best selling ghoul????

So I was able to get Draculura as my first ever Skullector doll in a public release which doesn’t seem real, but I got a confirmation email! The thing is that I was so on edge I didn’t realize I had put 2 dolls in my cart until I was on the final check out page. I hit confirm payment because I was scared she would sell out before I could fix it and now I have no idea what to do with the extra doll!

Apologies for yet another Drac post, but with all of the different versions of this drop happening I'm getting confused and concerned by the emails people seem to be getting 😵‍💫. I (thankfully) managed to snag her when she first went up yesterday, but my order still hasn't shipped and it seems like lots of them have. I also haven't received any of the delay notifications that others seem to be getting (which I hope is a good sign?). Aybody else in the same boat? Let's all be terrified together!

I just opened my tiktok after sulking from this morning and saw this ad, this site has 5 stars from “610 reviews” but literally only has 1 product. even from the tiktok account there’s only 10 posts about either the doll or an olivia rodrigo mug. I’ll be honest, I almost want to buy it just for curiosity but i’m just more depressed that I and others weren’t able to obtain this doll. I won’t resort to scalpers but it’s making it really hard when I see her everywhere taunting me. :(
