For some reason, it kept refusing my card. Then, after 7 minutes, this happened..... I wanted this doll so badly, I could cry.

I’ve seen multiple people getting dragged online from buying from resellers.
Many people used the excuse “well she has two releases just wait for the pre order”
The pre order sold out in less than 10 minutes from what I saw.

Many people I see complaining about resellers are the same people buying 2 dracs and keeping both or just for trading one to people who couldn’t get it because they bought it..

I really feel like this hobby has just made the community crumble. People who could get her on Mattel judging people who couldn’t and people who couldn’t get her attacking people who could.

Realistically this isn’t on collectors or resellers this time it’s on Mattel. Mattel definitely knows the reseller problem, yet they do nothing because they still get money. They try to pretend like they had no idea but they definitely did.

Instead of being at each others throats why don’t you complain to Mattel instead? It’s more productive than bullying people over the doll. Sorry.

Edit: I’m not defending resellers, yeah they suck. But only placing blame on resellers and not on the company allowing resellers isn’t productive.

I just received this email and had to go into my account and approve of my order saying I still want it! What is going on over there Mattel?!

I managed to get the draculaura doll yesterday after such a stressful drop! I even got the confirmation email so was pleased. Today I find this. I am so upset because I couldn't even preorder her as I thought I already bought her !!!!

I cant believe mattel.

Thinking about this question myself right now because if I were to go back in time to buy any doll, it would be the Vampire Hearts Draculara doll. I wasn’t into collecting dolls yet when she came out and I really wish I could’ve gotten her. Now you have scalpers reselling her for no less than $600, which obviously I’m not paying.

So what are the dolls you wish you could go back in time to buy?

Especially if you have membership!!! It’s where they primarily check for feedback according to one of the designers!! (Annalise Lao)

Include screenshots of resellers on eBay having 100 units of dolls, etc as well! They seriously, seriously need to find a way to prevent bots from grabbing most of the stocks.

In my opinion, I feel like if they could limit an order to 1 per account per address for a limited amount of time (maybe 1 week?) before uplifting the restriction(everyone that want the item should have gotten it at that point) would help resolving the issue very easily

My bestie has graciously let me play with her dolls- this was my first time doing a face up other than a little lipstick change! I’m also clearly obsessed with giving dolls perfect wavy hair. I gave her a red manicure with black tips, and a dark red lipstick change, plus new brows, and painted her boots. I also played around styling her with some LOL OMG Surprise and Shadow High clothes, plus glasses I had from my Neon Frights doll- because her core glasses are hideous.

I have had nothing but ROTTEN luck with getting Ghoulia’s core doll secondhand 🥲 one came to me smelling moldy/musty and it didn’t matter that I let her soak in white vinegar, baking soda, or coffee grounds for days and weeks on end- she was disgusting smelling, and I ended up trashing her. And to be fair- she also had a wonky face that I was trying to talk myself into being okay with. My 2nd attempt at Ghoulia is the one on the left of the last picture with no eyebrows. I took a gamble on Vinted with her plus a day out Clawdeen. She already had a messy face up- and while the eyebrows they attempted mostly came off, the lipstick did stain. The third Ghoulia (right last photo) I got on Depop for a few bucks- and she has the better hair and complete body, but her face is super wonky. So I guess to recreate this for myself I’ll need to color match her skin tone, or do an entirely new face 🙃

So I was able to get Draculura as my first ever Skullector doll in a public release which doesn’t seem real, but I got a confirmation email! The thing is that I was so on edge I didn’t realize I had put 2 dolls in my cart until I was on the final check out page. I hit confirm payment because I was scared she would sell out before I could fix it and now I have no idea what to do with the extra doll!

When will it accept that I want to doll? Please don’t tell me that Mattel will cancel my order😭

Did a Fearidescent Drac restyle I adore. Mostly Shadow High pieces used in the fit. r/wegotdollsathome is a fun place to reignite collector creativity when you’re bummed about a disaster drop.

i set two alarms for her and when she was in my cart and i was checking out she sold out because the website was buggy.... i am so upset i really dont know what to do. i dont want to pay off the scalpers who are the most worthless people on earth. what are my options at this point??? i am genuinely heartbroken and i cried abt her like i havent been this in love with a doll in a long while. i dont know what to do. im sure i am just one person in a sea who feel the same as i do. its horrible. why is mattel like this??? do they hate money??? why dont they make more stock of the best selling ghoul????

It’s not perfect but it turned out way better than I was expecting!! I curled her hair with straws, then waited till those were dry and laid her on a risen surface to flatten out her mohawk piece with gel and hairspray.

So many of the creepros factory hair make me so sad 😭 so I took it upon myself to fix them up the best I could. I’ve never actually curled a doll’s hair before Clawdeen, so it didn’t come out the best and I’ll probably redo it someday. But I like it so much better than how flat her box hair was.

Lagoona’s gelled ponytail pissed me off so bad, the first thing I did when I unboxed her was cut her hair. It’s not as creative as I’ve seen some others post but I’m proud lol

Toralei’s was the worst for me, I hid her behind my other dolls cause I couldn’t stand her gelled bob. I wanted it to be more of a combo of the g1 animation/movie style. I pulled out the bottom two rows of plugs in her head and used the leftover hair shavings to make mock-flocking. Also featuring her cat, the guinea pig for the flocking texture. It looks like a hot Cheeto and it’s the funniest thing I’ve done in a while.

Apologies for yet another Drac post, but with all of the different versions of this drop happening I'm getting confused and concerned by the emails people seem to be getting 😵‍💫. I (thankfully) managed to snag her when she first went up yesterday, but my order still hasn't shipped and it seems like lots of them have. I also haven't received any of the delay notifications that others seem to be getting (which I hope is a good sign?). Aybody else in the same boat? Let's all be terrified together!
