Is this normal?
Is it time to change the seal? What do I do to prevent this from happening? It’s a 2015 rerelease landcruiser 76 . It’s daily driver.

Unpopular Opinion: OneStone Armrests Kinda Suck
Social media marketing must have gotten me
Don't get me wrong, quality is decent and color match is good but the price for these things is not justified
The fit on the 100 series is pretty poor, you can tell these were designed for the 70 but they slapped some double sided stickey tape on there and voila, they are now for the 100
IMO, they position your arm too high so it is not a very natural position
Don't forget to remove and open top cups before you shut your door because it's going everywhere
The position of the cupholder to the steering wheel only leaves a small gap your fingers barely fit through when turning the wheel so constantly bumping them or scraping fingers
Just a cautionary tale, maybe they are better on some of the other models but not great on the 100, learn from my mistake

Wheels
The first image is of my 105 series currently with a 2 inch lift and 285/75r16 tires on neg12 rims. I asked ai to generate what it’d look like moving to a 305/70r16 and that’s the second image. The ai reckons it’s 100% accurate to how it’ll look with comforser cf3000. Just looking to get some real options.

New Fuel System Installed
Been battling a vapor lock issue when I get below 1/4 tank of gas and running in hot conditions. I’d lose power over 2,500 RPMs. I had replaced the fuel pump with a “Toyota” pump from EBay, which didn’t solve the issue. So I went ahead and replaced my rusty tank and everything else in the fuel system. New tank, new hanger, new sending unit, new pump, all hoses replaced, new breather, new fuel filter, new fuel pressure regular, etc. Here’s hoping the issue is resolved!

New to me 2020 LX570.
Had been searching for a minute when I came across this 2020 LX570 with 17K miles. Already love it. Coming from a 2012 Subaru Outback 6 speed manual transmission this car is an upgrade. Keeping my Subaru because It has sentimental value and I love driving a manual transmission. The LX 570 has parchment interior, wanted the red leather but this car was too good to be true. Picked it up from Alabama and drove it home to Arkansas last night. Picture taken at rest stop.

Has anyone replaced the main harness on an 80 series?
Bit of background. I just took delivery of a 1994 FZJ80 that I bought on eBay and got completely hosed, unfortunately. The truck doesn’t currently run or start even though it was sold to me as a strong running and driving truck. eBay essentially told me to eat shit since it’s older than 20 years, and the seller is denying knowing anything about the issues and is unwilling to refund anything to help repair it and get it running again.
I have video of it being driven onto the transport truck, but it wouldn’t start when it got to me. It cranks but doesn’t start. I found that the fuse box under the hood has previously melted and has live wires in it, the ignition coil has some janky diy wiring running to a relay, but it wasn’t fully hooked up and the wire looks like it may have been cut? I have no check engine light on when the key is in accessory position or when cranking. There no spark at the plugs, but the distributor has 12v going to it. There’s a few other weird janky bits of wiring I see elsewhere as well.
I found a 93/94 harness for sale that I may buy and attempt to swap in rather than continuing to mess with the mess that’s in there currently. I’m sure this is a big job that won’t be fun, but has anyone done it and have advice for how to move forward?
Was really looking forward to my first Land Cruiser and now I’m extremely disappointed with what I ended up with. Lesson definitely learned about trusting an eBay seller from another state for a car purchase…

I drive a 2000 Landcruiser 100 series. How do I find the date it was manufactured? I think it's time to start celebrating its birthday.

Possible leak? 2002 LC100
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Was doing my LCA’s and Steering rack bushings, when I noticed what looks to be like a bunch of residue of some kind of fluid around the oil pan and flywheel cover. No dripping of any kinds just noticing that it all seems to be moist. Also noticed the differential doesn’t seem to be completely dry. My cv axle are throwing grease all over the new driver side LCA because the boots and the cvs themselves are cooked, so I have to replace those. I don’t know if I have any leaks or not so if anybody knows what they’re looking at better than me that’d be appreciated

To be fair, an FJ60 was not something I was expecting on my street
mid July of 2023.
Randomly saw this, while heading home with dinner.

in my search for a fzj80, am i crazy for making leather seats a dealbreaker?
hey yall.. just to be clear, im not an offroader or a land cruiser expert by any means but i have been following them for a few years now as ive been interested in getting an fzj80 to fill my SUV needs.
it seems to hard to come across a cloth spec, but i love them bc i assumed they hold up better over time and are harder to damage, easier to clean. Is all of that actually true?
ive been looking out for cloth and a winch : ) ... seems so handy to have a winch on ur truck even if im not actively on the trails

How would you go about fixing this? (LC 100, 2001)
Any ideas how could I fix this leather the became unglued. I wonder why this happened. Maybe the leather shurnk because of the sun? Though the was dismanteled for painting and maybe got damaged in the process. I wonder if should even try gluing the are back somehow.
Another thing is the cracking wood protection lacquer. I can get the wheel rewrapped, but I wonder what I could do with the wood part.

Collapsed Fuel Fill Hose
On Vacay going to the beach and i can't get fuel to go into the tank. All of a sudden, no warning. Check the fill tube , it's steel, but a 20 some inch section after the steel fill pipe is rubber. It looks not right. And it's failed. There's a liner inside that's collapsed. Part should be at dealer tomorrow and I've got just enough gas to get the 30 miles. 1999 LX470 235k mi. I thought I knew everything about this truck. *photo of hose is from ih8mud. Mine is in situ, looks exactly like this.

New Safety Recall RN5 (XN5) – 2024–2027 Land Cruiser
I own a 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser 250 in Canada, and today I found a new safety recall notice on my Toyota app.
Recall: RN5 (XN5) – Fuel Line Connector
According to Toyota, a fuel line connector near the fuel tank may detach, causing fuel to leak until the engine shuts off. If the fuel comes into contact with an ignition source, it could cause a fire.
The app currently displays "No solution available." Toyota is still preparing the necessary parts and repair instructions.
I've searched online but haven't found much information about this recall yet.

Help identifying part name/#
Does anyone know the name or even part number for these end cap things? I circled the part in red, and there’s a picture of the passenger side that’s missing. Been trying all sorts of google searches with no luck. Found aftermarket “end caps” but hoping to replace with OEM or as close as possible. Thanks!

To add to my previous post: an FJ62
Dug through my archives a bit because I remembered this one was also something I had 📸. Seriously clean.
Spotted in Madinah.
