I've played 40k for a long time but relatively new to Marines. I am all about making my own lore and characters. I really love the look and iconography of the Imperial Fist and don't really wanna do a successor chapter. My question for everyone is how do I go about making my own characters? I want to name my own Captain give him his own accolades.

I've been building my Imperial Fists army for 1.5 years and I'm super proud of what I've accomplished so far.

I’m playing my first 2,000-point game with this army against my Girlfriends orks tomorrow.

The army mainly consists of the Armageddon and Iron Halo Strike Forces. I’m not quite done with these yet.

As of right now I have Tor with the heavy intercessors, Apothecary with the aggressors, LT with bladeguard and eradicators going in the impulsar. I know my opponent will have a good chunk of terminators, abbadon and a daemon prince. Wondering if I should with Tor with aggressors and apothecary to heavy intercessors? Appreciate y’all!

Hello brothers! I just finish painting my first batch of imperial fists for 30k and I’m wondering what is the lore accurate look of the sergeant helmet??? I have seen some that are red with an white line going from top to bottom, some just yellow with an red line going from top to bottom and some with just a normal red helmet with no plume.

I understand red helmets became a thing because of the ultramarines and was codex compliant for sergeants but what is the correct look for a sergeant at let’s say the siege of terra before the first founding?

In my opinion, if and when Dorn comes back to the setting. He should be the ONLY person that kills Abbadon...here me out...Abbodon killed Sigismund ( with help from the Chaos gods ) but Dorn doesn't know this. Dorn comes back and finds out and crashes out!!! Takes the only fuckers crazy enough to put in the work ( Black Templars ) and they commence to walk the dog with the black legion, ultimately having a showdown with Abbadon...oh at this point Dorn has the Emperors Talons and Abbadon The talons of Horus....what say you???

But I think your 40k aesthetic is a little chopped and you guys basically have no characters (because GW has sidelined you for some reason).

It’s a shame because I really like your 30k look and you used to have so many great characters!

So I guessing I’m asking what draws you for this faction? I really wanna like it but I’m struggling committing to it.

I’ve recently fallen in love with Royal Dorn and his sons after listening to the 40K Lorecast on them, and Dorn skyrocketed his way to my favorite loyalist primarch after learning about his role in the Heresy and the Scouring.

Hey yall, i an looking at starting my second army and I wanted to make a "proxy" army(mainly just named/important characters) for either Carcharodons or the Minotaurs. I have come to the decision that if I do minotaurs I would want them to use the imperial fist rules. Seeing as while not confirmed I believe they are a successor of the fists. That mixed with I feel like dorn will be the next primarch released(probably delusion).

So im reaching out to get experienced players opinions on what should a list look like at 1000 to 2000 along with detachments. Or maybe some good suggestions on first purchases.

Do you get to re-roll hit of 1 if the unit is entrenched? This means Tor’s and Darnarh’s units always are re-rolling hit rolls of 1? I see the keyword entrenched is used in a few strategem…

Not your standard fist list, feels wrong to have almost no gravis but here it is.

A brick of 10 sternguard given ignore cover from Tor, +1 AP from a thunderstrike and +1 to wound from the stratagem is Ceramites highest damage combo (not even including the landraider with an incursor buff plus if you can get your reroll 1s to wound). A little bit of sticky with the CH and the super undercosted erads wt melta in the scout impulsor and you super fast, very punchy punchy fist list.

My original plan was to have a Land Raider Crusader to drop off my 8 gravis units (Tor, 6 Eradicators, and an Apothecary Biologis) into an advantageous position so they can shoot.

Should I run a Redeemer instead, dumping the AB? The same kit builds both, and I can easily swap the parts that are different, but what should be my main plan with it?
