I built a Raspberry Pi simulator that works on your browser that you can use to prototype projects before you spend money and time on real hardware!

Hey r/IMadeThis !

I've been working on a side project called PyRasp for myself. However, it has grown to a point where I thought it might be useful to people who are either interested in Python or Raspberry Pis.
Hence, I've been trying to make it a useful space for people who want to explore Python beyond traditional software development and get hands on experience with hardware related projects and keep it fun with a little bit of social elements.

PyRasp is a Raspberry Pi simulator that runs directly in the browser. You can write Python code, experiment with GPIO, and build circuits without needing a physical Raspberry Pi or setting up a local environment.

It's still a work in progress, and I'm opening up the platform for free during beta (which is here to stay for quite a while). I'd love to have more people try it out and let me know what they think. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

If you're curious and would like to take a look, here's a link:

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I would be more than happy to answer!

I built a free app that puts all of your town's local news in one inbox — works for any town on Earth (I hope)

• Upvotes

A few years ago I was living in Fredericton, NB, and I realized I was in a local-news vacuum. The stories I cared about were scattered across a dozen sites — the city paper, community blogs, radio stations — and keeping up meant hunting through all of them. So mostly I just... didn't.

I finally built the thing I wished existed: TownsLine. You pick any town in the world, and it pulls that town's local news into one clean feed. Free, no tracking ads, no algorithm deciding what you see.

The use case I didn't expect: it's not only for where you live now. I live in Alberta, but I can follow news from a small town in Ohio exactly the same way. Talking to early users, emigrants keeping up with their hometowns turned out to be the thing people love most — the peace of home, wherever you end up.

It's live at townsline.com — would love brutal feedback. And a real question for anyone who follows a hometown from far away: what would make you actually open it every day?

I built a 15-second check-in wellness app. Would love a few testers

Hi! I'm a PM, and I built a small tool called Reset for days when work leaves you running on empty.

You tap how you feel, how much time you have and your budget, and it suggests one small thing to help, like a 2-minute stretch or texting a friend. Later it asks how it went and learns what actually helps you.

- About 15 seconds, with an optional reminder email at a time you pick

- Works on laptop or phone, nothing to download

- Free, no streaks, stop anytime

It's open to anyone 18+ who works in tech through Nov 10. Link in the comments. I'd love honest feedback in the comments, good or bad!

I made something!

Hi there,

I've found myself in a spot in life where I have quite a bit of time on my hands. For various reasons I currently can't work a traditional job so I figured I try learning something new. I've always been in IT/Engineering but mostly on the backend of the systems I worked on. It always felt quite unsatisfactory to not have a fancy dashboard or anything to see my work in action so I decided that's what I want to start with.

As a result I've just released my first mobile app/game as a solo dev! It's a small math puzzle game where you swipe over numbers and operators to combine them into equations (to get to the right target). Because I value the learning experience over fast progress or needing to make a quick buck, I went through the entire process of development and distribution without using any modern coding agents. Maybe that's insignificant to others, and it's only a small math game, but I'm proud that I pulled through and actually got something out there.

I would love any and all feedback you have!

I wanted to turn some photos into pixel art with a fixed palette and the tools I found were either paid or did not support videos

So I made one where you drop an image, gif or video, pick a palette and a dither, and download the png / gif

Runs in the browser: https://fcidade.itch.io/pixel-art-converter

Made a landing page for an app that shows how long your tasks really take

• Upvotes

I always guess a task will take 20 minutes and it ends up taking an hour. So I came up with an app that splits a task into steps, times each step while you work, and compares your guess to what really happened. Over time it learns your actual pace. The app is not built yet. I made the waitlist page first to see if anyone else has this problem.

Here is the link: https://honesthours.carrd.co

If you have ten seconds, tell me if the page makes sense and if you would use this.

I made a local dashboard for exploring Codex and Claude Code session history

• Upvotes

I vibe-coded SessionSift, switching between Codex and Claude Code, then personally tested and used it to compare long AI coding sessions with shorter separate ones, understand token usage, and make my own prompts better.

Instead of digging through raw transcripts, you can browse conversations, inspect tool calls and token activity, and compare sessions in one local interface. It supports Codex and Claude Code, optional ChatGPT/Claude export imports, and 10 read-only local MCP tools.

It doesn't need an account or hosted service. Connected MCP clients may still send tool output to their model providers.

It's free for noncommercial use and source-available under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, not OSI open source. Current native builds are macOS Intel and Linux AMD64; Docker/source instructions are in the README. macOS binaries are unsigned and unnotarized.

Synthetic demo screenshot: https://github.com/LanceSandino/sessionsift/blob/main/docs/screenshots/01-workspace-conversation.webp

Project: https://github.com/LanceSandino/sessionsift

Curious whether the conversation browser, session comparison, or MCP integration is the feature you'd actually use.

I made CADMark: an AI-first CAD beta where the model becomes part of the conversation

• Upvotes

I develop CADMark at BEYWARE. It's a commercial CAD product, currently in beta, built around AI as the main way to express and revise early mechanical ideas.

The interaction I want feedback on is quite specific: how do you tell an AI WHICH part of a model you mean?

CADMark brings three kinds of spatial context into that conversation:

- Recognised geometric features provide references such as a particular hole.

- User-named regions give an area a name you can use in a change request.

- Markings — comments, points and inspection dimensions — connect a location on the model with a written instruction.

A small test I'd suggest: choose a hole in a prototype bracket, ask for a different diameter, state which hole centres and outside dimensions must stay unchanged, then inspect and measure the result. That's a proposed feedback exercise; an AI edit still needs checking.

Common direct tools complement the AI under an 80/20 approach, since some adjustments are quicker to make directly.

I'm interested in feedback from people who make enclosures, brackets or other early prototypes: what would you point at first, and what would you still need to write down? Even feedback on the interaction from the product walkthrough is useful.

Product and walkthrough: https://beyware.com/en/produkte/cadmark/

Disclosure: this is my own product, not an independent recommendation.

I built an app that turns photos of your physical cases into 3D cases you can open

I'm excited to share that Disc Collection got approved for the App Store!

It's a physical media tracker for YOUR discs. Take 2 photos of a case and it turns into an interactive 3D view you can open up, spin around, and pull the disc out of.

I made this app to celebrate owning your disc. You own it, you should be able to show it off to other collectors anywhere in the world. At the core it's still a collecting tracker — ratings, hours played, finished tracking, wishlist, search, hearting, cases numbered as you add them. The 3D case is just the fun part.

It's free, and I want to keep it that way. I do this as a hobby and it's really fun for me — making it paid or introducing a money factor would ruin the fun factor. I want it to stay community driven, so if you have suggestions, drop them in the contact area in the settings page.

And you can share in the public gallery where other anonymous collectors can see what you have collected — no usernames, no followers.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

I built the first Claudeway prototype in an afternoon — an experimental OpenCode V2 plugin

Post image
1 Upvotes

I built the first prototype of Claudeway in an afternoon: an unofficial plugin that brings an existing Claude Code session into OpenCode V2. I’ve since worked on packaging, docs, and safeguards.

It’s installable from npm and tested against OpenCode 2.0.29. The repo records one earlier successful Haiku generation, but live OAuth renewal has not yet been verified, so I’m treating it as experimental rather than stable. Linux compatibility still needs reports; Windows renewal is currently disabled.

I’m the author and would appreciate honest feedback: install experience, model selection, OS/OpenCode version, and anything that fails. Please don’t share credential files or tokens.

Title: I built a free movie & anime discovery website looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone!

I'm a student developer, and I've been building AJIX, a free entertainment discovery website.

It currently supports movie search, trending titles, ratings, descriptions, trailers, and streaming-provider information where available.

It's built with vanilla JavaScript, TMDB API and Cloudflare Workers/Pages.

I'm not hosting copyrighted movies or streams. AJIX is purely for entertainment discovery.

I'd appreciate feedback on the design, mobile experience, and features you'd want to see next.

Website: [https://ajix.pages.dev\](https://ajix.pages.dev)

Thanks!

I made a HTPC OS based on Debian and i3/Sway

Post image
1 Upvotes

(AI coded) Basically I wanted to have the bare minimum you need for a system that you can run more then one HTPC app on, like Jellyfin, Plex, Steam Big Picture, Retroarch, etc. The entire thing is designed so that you can launch and switch applications using a remote, and it has a settings app that manages most of the things you would need like power management and such. it includes a flathub flatpak store so you can install popular applications from right inside tvwcs.

(Name means TV Window Channel Switcher, all the good names were taken and I wanted something unique)

its designed as a plugin for i3 so you can run it alongside your existing desktop environment, or you can run the install script on a bare bones Debian os that has no existing de or window manager installed and the install script will sort out setting it up.

the current project is fairly complete in scope, but there are still a lot of little tweaks and adjustments i need to do as it's largely being tested solely against Debian/i3. I did do some testing on Sway and it seems to run fine but there are some config issues.

eventually I plan to add a tablet mode but that will likely be sway only, and if there's demand I can add support for other distros with different package managers and init systems (basically right now the software updater and power options are reliant on apt, flatpak, and systemd.

I made Genesys Code to bring AI coding tools into one workspace

Managing several AI coding tools can get complicated. I wanted to create a simpler way to access different models without constantly jumping between separate platforms.

That's the idea behind Genesys Code: multiple coding AIs, one workspace, and a free way to get started.

Introducing PopCalc - A calculator so satisfying to tap, you’ll find excuses to do math

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Most calculator apps look like they haven't changed since 2010, so I built PopCalc.

Every digit you type grows into a bold 3D numeral, and the result morphs into a giant display when you hit equals.

✓ Free calculator with accurate math (0.1 + 0.2 really is 0.3)
✓ No ads. Ever.
✓ No account, fully offline, zero data collected
✓ Free skins, plus an optional one-time Pro (no subscription) for more skins and key sounds

There's also a hidden easter egg in the app. Some answers open doors. Can you find it?
Download it, play with it for a minute, then come back and tell me:

  • How does it feel to type on?
  • Which skin is your favorite?
  • What would you add next?

If you like it, an honest review on Play Store helps a solo dev get found. If you don't, tell me why in the comments. I read every reply and I'm shipping updates fast.

I built an Adobe Acrobat alternative for Mac. Everyday tools are free. Goal is we don't have to pay for a subscription anymore.

Hey all, I’m Arun. I’ve prev built startups in AI and cybersecurity & now building Fyllyo : the only pdf tool you would ever need. Available for MAC

I started Fyllyo back when I was filling visa applications day in day out. In starting focused on web form automation, pivoted to PDF after talking to and seeing so many people getting scammed for simple pdf functionality.

Recently used to it to fill Orange theory cancellation form :D. Had been sitting on that one for a while.

Opus 5.5 helped a lot. (Especially helped with testing)

The video shows some of the capabilities - arranging pages, making a scan searchable, redacting information, signing with a certificate and filling a tax form using your own documents.

Everyday PDF tools are free, with no account or expiry: read, fill forms by hand, comment, draw a signature, combine and split files, arrange pages, recognize text in scans and password-protect documents.

There is a paid version and I am not exactly sure what i should keep behind pay wall to keep funding the project. I will adjust it seeing what people use from day to day and make more stuff free. For now it you get additional redaction, text editing, certificate signing, removing hidden data, compression, XFA forms and local AI form filling.

If you did not read that properly, let me say again 😄 . You can automate any PDF filling using your data 100% locally. No subscription.

I have tested this against 864 real-world PDFs, but i am sure there are many that can break this, so please let me know if does.

My goal is to match the full range of PDF features out there and keep adding capabilities powered by local models so you dont pay for tokens and your data stays private.

Its not at full Acrobat parity yet. Today it’s Apple-silicon Macs on macOS 13 or later.

Try it on the PDF work you use Acrobat for and tell me what works well what does not. I will iterate fast and get your functionality in ASAP. Your feedback will help shape Fyllyo. Thanks
