It's time to get rid of either Dust or Mirage - personally I'd get rid of both but some parts of the CS community would probably riot.

Since the update of choosing maps instead of banning maps, Mirage and Dust ALWAYS end up in the final decision and I'm genuinely pissed about playing these maps every two matches. They bore me to death and you often times play against people who know everything about these maps because the probably play no other maps.

I also think Cache shouldn't have been added back. I'd have liked a completely new map or something like Basalt (tested in Matchmaking).

I understand that a nearly 30yo game like CS is based on some maps and that they are important to the community and feel of the game but it is time for a change. And that doesn't mean that they should be entirely removed, just remove them (or one of them) from premiere and keep it in matchmaking.

And adding back Cache for the what feels like 100th time, they missed a great opportunity for change with that one.

My personal 7 maps for premiere would be: Nuke, Vertigo, Basalt, Anubis, Inferno, Train and one newly made map.

Well, my friend, it seems Vitality is back and in great shape to play in the Major. The players are well-connected in their movements and their map range is sharper than ever. They have great strategies, not just on Mirage, and overall, their off-meta picks have been a delight to watch.

The CT side is a masterpiece, with so many difficult-to-execute setups and timely map rotations that it makes it not only fascinating to watch but also very dangerous to face, especially if you go into the match unprepared. The engages on bombsite B, where Mezii takes the lead near the Short, and the constant rotation of Ropz or ZywOo around the map are a nightmare for any team that dares to counter-attack.

On the T side, they've been playing with simple execution, without needing to complicate rounds. They mainly need to secure the mid lane and from there have many options for any area they want to initiate an attack. The other setup possibilities are also great, combining quick attacks with slower options stemming from mid lane control.

A good while ago my boyfriend showed me these butterfly knives that were beautiful replicas of cs skins that he really liked. I decided I wanted to get him one now, but I can't seem to figure out what the website he showed me was. I would like to avoid asking him directly so that it can be a surprise, he's been going through it lately and I want to do something nice for him. The knives were dull 'training' knives and according to my memory fully made of metal.

It's really "nothing" post.. just thought that perhaps we might get one more "ok" update before the end of the year. No way they'd go 6 months without LTD item and no way LTD item would be the absolutely the only thing on the patch notes - perhaps new Terminal and some gameplay stuff, so worth to be a little bit excited rather than just look forward to the Major

There is an issue with silent reloading. When you quick-switch immediately after reloading, you have to wait approximately 2 seconds before you can fire again. With a normal reload, you can fire immediately.

As players, we have always relied on the ammo counter to know when reloading is complete. For example, when the AK-47 ammo counter reaches 30, we assume the reload is finished and quick-switch to continue playing.

With a normal reload, this works as expected. However, with a silent reload, the ammo counter reaches 30 before the weapon is actually ready to fire. If we quick-switch at that moment, the weapon remains blocked for approximately 2 seconds.

Please either allow us to fire immediately once the ammo counter reaches its maximum capacity or delay the ammo counter update until the weapon is actually ready to fire.

I was talking with my friend group, and they made a comment about me not liking strategy in games since I mostly play shooters like CS. And they go on to talk about how deep the mind games are in league of legends.

This reminded me of just how much strategy in CS (especially in pro play) goes unnoticed by the average gamer. And I recall watching a pro game that really demonstrated this point. I've been trying to find it, but without any luck.

It was I think and ESL tournament, where the casting desk brought on Hooxie who I think was still on G2, to cast a match on Nuke. And Hooxie had some really great insights into the strategy behind some of the plays on Nuke.

Any help finding this VOD would be much appreciated, as well as if you have any other videos that come to mind which really feel demonstrated the tactical/strategic depth of CS. Thank you!

What are your keybinds? I have played 350h and I'm pretty casual, usually wingman with friends. Now I have experimented mouse wheel as jump and using 9, 0 and + as my weapon keys and mouse wheel up for nades.

Do yall have any recommendations? I'm trying to get a bit more serios and raise my 4k elo (11wins).

I was just at the Katowice event a few days ago.

Purchased lower seats for better view, assuming better experience as well.

During the playoffs I was ALWAYS seated next to people scrolling in their phone during matches and being quiet af/disinterested in ALL of the games.

Some literally not taking eyes off their phones scrolling X or Threads for hours.

While the upper crowd was roaring and having a great time.

Is that normal? Or did I just get bad luck in these 3 days (I was in the lowest, then middle then highest possible seating)

Overall it was a great experience (if u exclude the oscar BS on day 2)

Ok so am playing primier from like end of last season so relatively new , now this season am playing regularly but the rating system is sooo shit . I am trying to rank to 5k but now I hv ever been struck on 1800-2000k elo . like every fucking match is around +100/-100 ones like even after I win 5 win streak still its the same . like with this there is no way I can progress . and Ik I am improving a lot becoz my leetify rating went from -3 smth to +1.8 and I continuously hving good games but I just cant progress . is there any way I can change it

I'm thinking of going to IEM Cologne 2027 (all 4 days) with my friend. Does anyone here have experience on the reserved/non-reserved seats. Are the reserved seats worth the money?

Have you had any bad experiences with non-reserved seats with them being stolen instantly or having to sit in terrible seats with neck at 90 degree angle looking at the projector screens?

Recently got back into CS2 after 10+ years, I bought a Zowie monitor which has been amazing and have been switching between 1280x960, 1280x1080 and 1440x1080. For the past month 1440x1080 has been my main resolution but something has just felt off. My confidence with peaking and my headshot percentage especially with moving or strafing targets has been horrible. Even with consistent aim training, 1v1 servers, death matching, warming up, etc.

After changing to 1080x1080 all of that has changed and I feel so much more confident and my hs% has been completely different. With that being said, the tradeoffs of 1080x1080 seem fairly significant with the amount of horizontal information/ FOV you lose. I was wondering if anyone has a good resolution that is between 1080x1080 and 1440x1080 that still has that majorly stretched effect that they enjoy using?
