News Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity to paid Google AI Pro subscribers
We’re rolling out Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity to paid Google AI Pro subscribers today. Demand has been incredible and we've scaled capacity deliberately to get here. We’ve rolled out a separate weekly-only Argon quota for Pro on top of the existing Gemini bucket for 3.8 Flash so you have the best of Gemini for all your tasks.

Discussion Argon is better than Opus and Astra as a lawyer
I've been negotiating an important contract for a month now. It was already in its final form, ready for signature. It was reviewed by Claude Opus 5.5, ChatGPT Astra, a lawyer with 30 years of experience, and Gemini Flash 3.8. Every LLM and lawyer recommended I sign it. Out of curiosity, I submitted it to Argon for analysis. And they were the only ones who found two critically dangerous hidden traps... They saved me...
I'm very impressed with his "thinking." All the LLMs offered similar opinions, comments, and insights. Argon was the only one that was completely different and spot-on!

Discussion I just say 'test' to Gemini 4 Argon and it eats 9% of my 5 hour limit (on pro)
Is this a bug? yesterday (the release day) it didn't exceeds 10% for each prompt unless i made it do complex task, and I used it for heavier task (reading and synthesizing information from 500 pages story, ask it to web search and trawl information from the internet). The usage limit seems to be heavily nerfed and when I asked people on discord, they just said Argon uses a lot of token, it shouldn't be using this much for saying 'test'.

Help/question I built an app with Gemini that converts any text into high-quality audio. It works with PDFs, blog posts, Substack and Medium links, and even photos of text.
I’m excited to share a project I’ve been building over the past few months, created entirely using Gemini!
It’s a mobile app that turns any text into high-quality audio. Whether it’s a webpage, a Substack or Medium article, a PDF, or just copied text, it converts it into clear, natural-sounding speech. You can listen to it like a podcast or audiobook, even with the app running in the background.
The app is privacy-friendly and doesn’t request any permissions by default. It only asks for access if you choose to share files from your device for audio conversion.
You can also take or upload a photo of any text, and the app will extract and read it aloud.
- React Native (expo)
- NodeJS, react (web)
- Framer Landing
The app is called Frateca. You can find it on Google Play and the App Store. I also working on web vesion, it's already live.
Free iPhone app
Free Android app on Google Play
Free web version, works in any browser (on desktop or laptop).
Thanks for your support, I’d love to hear what you think!

Discussion Is there something, for which you find Argon better than Claude and Gpt?
I love to do research about the Proto-Indo-European language, and overall obscure Language topics.
I find Argon infinitely better, goes more in depth, more accurate, and overall does a better job of taking complex Language topics and explaining them in accessible way ... than openai's Sol and Claude Opus.
Is there something for which you think Argon is doing better?

Discussion Google AI Pro for paid vs promotional users discrimination in big 2026!
Google announced they will only release Argon for paid pro user! I've been noticing discussions from Google AI users across different countries about restrictions on models in Google Antigravity, particularly Gemini 4 Argon and third party models.
It appears to be a broader issue involving different types of promotional subscriptions.
Here are a few examples:
India (Jio): Users received 18 months of Google AI Pro through Jio, advertised as the Google AI Pro plan. Google has clarified that partner-provided subscriptions such as Jio's can be classified as promotional plans for certain Antigravity model-access rules.
Pixel buyers: Users who purchased a Pixel device and received a Google AI Pro trial as a bundled benefit have reported being unable to access Gemini 4 Argon because their subscription is classified as a trial.
Student Offer
Google can change its models, retire old versions and establish different subscription tiers.
The issue I'm trying to understand is different.
If Google advertises a subscription as Google AI Pro, whether through a direct purchase, a Pixel purchase, a student offer or a telecom partnership, if there are material differences in eligibility, shouldn't those differences be clearly disclosed when the offer is advertised and accepted?
I think there's a legitimate discussion to have about transparency and false advertisement.
The point is that when Google offers a feature to Google AI Pro subscribers, customers should be able to understand whether their particular Google AI Pro subscription qualifies, regardless of how they obtained it.

Discussion New usage limits MUST be a bug.
Just for context, I have google one, and as a result, get gemini plus. I only ever use gemini to generate images on flash 3.1 and the lowest thinking level. I have never changed these settings ever. Over the last couple days they completely inconsistent and absurdly high.
Another thing to keep in mind, I am not actually generating and using as many images as it may sound like. The overwhelming majority of the time it is me re-trying because gemini messed up, or making minor additional changes to previous images. I usually do not run conversations longer than 3-5 images because the AI starts to loop and not follow instructions. Most conversations I have are 1 or 2 long.
For most of 2024, 2025 and even the first half of 2026, I was able to do 100 images a day because each generation used 1% of my daily limit. That was the way limits always worked when I used it. In 2026 they added a weekly limit on top of that. Although I was still able to generate 100 images every day. At some this was reduced to 50. As each image generation now took up 2%
After that, they changed the system to have a 5 hour limit with weekly a limit (wtf even is that). It started out with images using 2%. So I was able to generate 50 every 5 hours which was even more than before and more than before and more than I was using. Not sure why but shortly after, the image cost was reduced to 1% and I was able to generate 100 every 5 hours. 500 every day was insane and I never even used 200 of that. Not too long after it changed back to 2% usage
Now we cut to the last couple days. Where the usage is entirely inconsistent and they seem to be going on a "whatever, screw you" basis. Three days ago I generated 8 images and it used up 100% of my limit for the 5 hour period and 15% of my weekly? WTF!? Yesterday It was even worse. I did a test. The first image alone used up 14% of the 5 hour period limit. The second used up 11%. The third used up 12% and I just gave up after that. I tested it again today. I was able to generate 13 images which each cost 3%. Out of nowhere the 14th image suddenly used up 20%. I generated another two images and I went from 69% to 100% used.
What in the unholy fk is going on? I have NEVER changed my settings. I am doing the same thing I always have. Why is it using so much and why is it so inconsistent? This annoyed me so much I decided made a reddit account to discuss it.

Discussion Argon is not a Pro model
Looks like we have confirmation. Argon is not a Pro model as it is listed separate from Pro. Not only that, Argon is listed as being a higher tier above Pro. Is 4.0 Pro going to be released then?

Discussion Wow...
I’ve been using Tasks (formerly Gemini Spark) for some simple task automation and coding. Argon’s performance is incredible. It easily solved automation issues that I was stuck on with 3.8 Flash, and I love how it thoroughly searches the web to deliver high-quality, comprehensive code and plans. After sending just about 5 prompts, I hit the usage limit. I’ve been subscribed to Gemini AI Pro since May, and I’ve never hit 100% before, so to be honest, I was shocked. I never thought I’d get throttled down to Flash Lite Low! (Naturally, image generation and Deep Research are locked out too.)
However, using Argon eats up my usage so fast that I get nervous every time I use it haha. Hopefully Google relaxes the limits a bit, though I wouldn't hold my breath.
On a side note, a realization I had today: when you're trying to execute and accomplish a plan, Tasks actually feels better suited for it than standard chat. Since it's optimized for agentic execution, the web search accuracy and the reliability of tool execution like reading files feel noticeably higher than in regular chats.

Help/question Argon (Medium) burned through 85% of my 5-hour limit in just 5 minutes. Seriously?
I just tried Google Gemini Argon on Medium with a pretty simple coding task.
All I wanted was a small background script for my Mac that keeps my Cambridge Audio desktop speakers awake. They automatically go into standby after 20 minutes of inactivity, so the idea was to have a lightweight script running in the background to prevent that.
Nothing complicated. Just a short script.
It took about 5 chat exchanges and roughly 5 minutes, including a few iterations because the script wasn't working properly at first.
And the result?
85% of my entire 5-hour usage limit was gone.
I'm paying for the Pro subscription, and I honestly can't understand what Google was thinking with these limits.
How am I supposed to properly evaluate a model if a tiny task like this nearly exhausts my entire usage allowance?
I don't even know whether Argon is a good model yet, because I can barely use it long enough to find out.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Are these limits seriously that restrictive, or is something wrong with my account?
Because at this point, I'm genuinely wondering what I'm paying for.

Discussion gemini 4 Argon sucks, if it's not generation pelican riding bike
my previous test of letting it redraw image to SVG directly(without using tool) was too ez, so this time i modified prompt
in order to prevent over-train of bird-ride-bike, here is full:
First i let it draw an animation of Anime girl riding bike,
and the first result is syntax error.
I let it re-generate, the its ToTAL diSaSTer
the rider lost one leg and the face is distorted
Actually this model is still over-trained. especially over-trained on Pelican-ride-bike
In one test, i let it draw PERLICA riding bike, and it stubbornly drawing PELICA. which is a significant proof of over-training.
