To no fault of his own but being played out of position a fair bit too has affected how he plays.

SDK won't be a fixed key defender in the backline anytime soon. Assuming we do what we do well and get Ridley right and even if Ridley struggles. He won't fit in this 23 with Marshall.

SDK is not a next Blicavs and doesn't replace Stewart. (Seen this as a reason to keep him.)
He is not a good ruckman, even as a chop out like Blicvas. He just not up to it and there is no point trying to get him to being one at this point in his career.

While young and under contract. Get some picks and dictate terms on the trade is the best option for all parties.

Thanks SDK, you were a big part of that 2022 win keeping Buddy out of the game but you are no longer needed.

we can all say it now hopefully🤞🏽.

thank fuck

This official Geelong guernsey, (signed by GA Snr and Polly), is on the auction block. If you won the auction, would you take it out of the frame, get Jezza’s signature, and reframe it? Is Jezza enough of a Geelong number 5 legend to be on the same jumper as Gaz Sr and Polly Farmer?

Here’s a brief overview of Jezza’s CV highlights:
- Premiership player
- 5 time AA (3 at Geelong including being named Captain in 2025)
- 2 time Coleman (1 at Geelong)
- Carji Greeves in 2022
- Cats leading goalkicker 2023, 2024, 2025
- By the time he retires, he’ll have played over 300 games and kicked over 800 goals.

Alright everyone , I recently got back from Melbourne and didn’t get a chance to get my hands on a guernsey. Would love a cats ford guernsey in Large.

Such a pain trying to get them in the uk. Anyone own an old one or have any ideas how to get one over here. Thank ya

Simonds wants to make me spew. I'm not even going to consider buying a guernsey with a red stain on the back.

never seen a man so happier (:

yes, I made this post just to say that lol

Loch Ness looks pretty confident for our 3 ruck, If we are healthy we are premiers. Future is pretty good

i spoke to soon jacky boy decided he wants to surprise everyone with this,

thoughts?

Excited but concerned, who are we dropping from our 23?

Fuck this club is incredible at making each year super exciting, and this trade period has been no different.

Obviously keen for Cameron and Greene, but I think the combo of Henry and Greene is even more deadlier.

Imagine Marshal with one of his 30 possession games along with Baz and Holmes.

And Ridley gets fit and right, the combo of his ball use with Humphries could be huge.

So excited!

With the Rowan Marshall trade now going through, what does our best 23 look like next year? Exciting times!

With it looking likely we’re done with player movement until the draft, which numbers do you think our new recruits will take?

I feel it makes sense for Roma to take 1 given it’s Stanley’s old number who was also a Saints ruck before joining us. I’d see Toby Greene taking 8 and Ridley 12 or 18 based on vibes

Anyone else getting the vibe that there’s a general consensus across all clubs to fuck over Geelong and not let us win a deal?

- Port outright refused to deal with us
- Swans put a line through us for Blakey
- Saints didn’t budge on pick 14
- Bombers bent is over a barrel for Ridley.

I mean, still happy with who we have gotten in, and not too worried on what we had to give up for them. But we’ve been swindled from everyone

In times gone by, the bloke would have been a very handy pick up, but he really seems to fit the titch/crouch/wines archetype that has gone from brownlow contention to the scrap heap in the last 5 years. What is this player you ask?

Inside ball winner who lacks key fwd size, elite pace, exceptional endurance or extraordinary disposal skills. You can get away without any of these in a defensive mid role played by the likes of Atkins and S.Berry (ADL), but any more than one makes your midfield look pedestrian. This really begs the question, what was the typically spot on cats recruiting department thinking?

The price would be way too high. I don’t think it would work in our favour whatsoever. Sydney are going to want players. Hypothetically on Sydney/afl threads, Humphries’ name has been brought up and I would be absolutely spewing if we lost him. Reckon he’s a much more skilful player than Blakey tbh and hitting targets coming out of defence is too valuable. I would much rather Humphries on our team.

Really hope we just pull out and go all in for Marshall now
