All Clubs to recruit two players from the same premiership team in the same off season.
Obviously not my stat, credits to this guy
The four last teams to do this all won the wooden spoon in the next season, does this mean West Coast is a lock for the wooden spoon next season?

I Listened to Tradies so you don't have to: Giving away random awards, only slightly more important than the Brownlow.
Starts with the announcement of Sam owing Mitch a dinner at Gimlet due to the Bodie Ryan getting traded for pick 107.
1st Award is the Ron Burgundy Award for something that is going to age poorly the quickest: Mitch chooses Adelaide for refusing to the do the Nick Murray deal to acquire North's 1st rd pick in 2027, as they could use it in a potential NAS trade next year. Sam chooses Calsher Dear for re-signing with Hawthorn where he would be proably playing vfl in rd 1 next year comapring to being in the best 23 for Melbourne.
2nd Award is the Jordan Peele Get Out Award: Sam chose Roughead for telling North no to a Murray trade and Mitch gave his the St Kilda for digging their heels in on a Rowan Marshall trade with Geelong resulting in them getting pick 14.
3rd Award is the Coach Taylor for the club with the best vision in getting a deal done: Mitch chose Sydney for the Nick Blakey deal due to how fractured his relationship with Sydney was. Sam gave his to West Coast for the Trent Rivers and Jack Viney deal due to getting in Rivers to fill a age profile they're missing on their list as well as veteran leadership whilst also keeping pick 23.
4th is the Sarah Marshall Award for the team that talked the most smack before caving in: Mitch chose Geelong for their refusal to originally include pick 14 in the Rowan Marshall deal and Sam chose Andrew Welsh for the article that came out on the morning of the 5th of October in which said that Essendon wouldn't trade Merrett and then getting traded the same day.
5th is the Training Day award for the teams playing the long game: Mitch and Sam both gave this to Port Adelaide for their stockpiling of picks in next years draft allowing for them to bring in an influx of talent as well as getting the points to match academy and father son picks.
6th is the Good Will Hunting Award for the team doing the best with the hand they're given: Both give this award to Port Adelaide for the hand they got back from Butters in the form of pick 5 and two extra 1st rounders from Friday's megatrade.
7th is the Shawshank Redemption for clubs coming back from the brink: This is a Sam only award who gives it to Melbourne for clearing salary cap as well as them moving up the draft order to pick 4.
8th is the Red Shirt award, this is awarded by the producer Link, is for the player, club or person for that looked like everything is going right than in a blink you're back to the start: Link gives this to North and Nick Murray due to the deal falling down due to Adelaide not being willing to trade Murray. Mitch throws out Jayden Short due to him agreeing to a 3 year deal at Collingwood, then Collingwood doesn't seem willing to trade for him.
Sidenote: Link is Ed Allen's brother and apparently he's been using Ed's players parking and pretending to be him for better parking.
The biggest names to watch for next years trade rumours are seen as Rowell, NAS and Chad Warner.
P.S This is the last episode of the year, so enjoy, i'll probably do this again next year if I remember.

John Longmire's new role at Essendon will extend beyond football performance, with the Bombers introducing a player leadership program to develop the next generation of leaders. Emerging talents including Sam Durham and Archie Roberts are among those set to benefit

Who's like a reverse hall-of-famer, icon or legend of a club?
This a another good BigFooty post from 10 odd years ago about Stephen O'Reilly, good as the copypasta:
As a footballer, Stephen O'Reilly was average , a journeyman if you will.
But he is a football icon for that great man has rooted Carlton football club for 14 years and counting.
Won't count examples like Kernahan, Hird, Ricciuto etc because they've achieved a legend status already as a player, even if they tore it down.
Basically players solely known for the wrong reasons.

Tsatas’ AFL career has a pulse. A few clubs have inquired about the delisted 21 year old in the aftermath of trade period - with some confidence building that he may snag a list spot for 2027

Post Trade Period Ladder Predictions
As the trade period comes to an end, what are your ladder predictions now?
⠀ What individuals would you like to see in key roles at AFL house? What about your own club?
My hot take is Brad Scott returning as Head of Footy replacing Swann's role. He's genuinely a good communicator when emotion doesn't have to be involved.
On the other side of the coin, I think there is some merit in McGuire replacing Dillon as the face of the AFL
For Essendon I wanted Longmire and I got Longmire so I'm happy

⠀ Updated table of former players for each afl club
*Yes I know Harry Cunningham and Alex Mirkov have not yet signed with their new clubs but they can stay here for now, for simplicity sake.
Also if Jake Stringer was to find a new home and if Zac Williams joins sydney (or Essendon) like the rumors say, we can officially make a best 23 for GWS
