It keeps flickering, which concerns me. Sometimes, it stays completely unlit.

My laptop is currently failing to boot into windows. After the loading icon finishes and it tries to boot into Windows, the laptop suddenly shuts down and restarts in a loop.

I can't reinstall the OS either, because the laptop shuts down in the same way when I try to boot into the installer.

The laptop sometimes manages to boot into windows using its current hdd, but the issue still occurs. I also tried using the sdd from my other laptop which has windows 11 installed, but the same thing happens. The laptop shuts down and restarts in a loop before it can boot into windows.

I have a Lenovo Legion , and the original charger is really heavy to carry to university.

Can I use a smaller USB-C charger for studying and light work instead? Has anyone tried this with a gaming laptop? Any recommendations?

I really want to buy a gaming laptop. Problem is all the affordable ones always have an issue or two. Forexample this laptop looks good on paper ,but the SSD space is so low. Hello - I recently tried to run 007 First Light on my GeForce 3060 laptop with a AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS (with 40GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, and judging from test videos I've seen online it should run at a solid 50FPS at low 1080p, yet for me it runs at most 20FPS at 720p low - I also downloaded the demo of Resident Evil Requiem and got similar results - could this be some sort of a computer virus? I tried making sure the RTX card was running, freeing up space and even reinstalling windows - help would very much be appreciated

I have an HP OMEN 16-wd0xxx with an RTX 4050 that’s recently started randomly shutting down after about 3–5 minutes, even while sitting in BIOS. It happens whether I’m running on battery alone or with the battery disconnected and using only the charger. Sometimes the fans continue spinning after the screen goes black, and the power button becomes unresponsive until I reset the power.

I decided to inspect the cooling system and replace the thermal paste. While removing the heatsink, I noticed that the thermal putty covering three power inductors near the CPU/GPU area was completely dried out and crumbly, almost like dried toothpaste. The rest of the thermal putty is still soft and pliable.

I’ve attached pictures showing the three components and their corresponding contact points on the heatsink.
Could the dried-out thermal putty on these three inductors cause overheating or trigger the sudden shutdowns I’m experiencing? Or does this sound more like an unrelated motherboard power-delivery issue?

I’d appreciate any insight before I replace the putty and reassemble everything.

I have an HP ZBook Fury G7 that suddenly shut down and won’t turn on anymore. I had it checked by a technician, who suspects the motherboard or possibly the CPU, but the exact cause hasn’t been confirmed yet.

So I'm excited about GTA 6 and it's reported to release in Q1 2027. So my specs are i9 14900HX RTX 4070 8GB with 32GB memory. My native laptop display is 1600p. So with the Vram usage I can't play most AAA games with max settings at that resolution. I want to get the best experience form GTA 6 and I am a graphic junkie so I'm thinking about buying a separate 1080p display when it comes out.

I want to know you guys opinion on would you rather play 1600p with medium to high settings or 1080p with max settings that can get 60fps?

Did an inspection before buying and also another after I took it home as well. Everything checked out perfectly, and the laptop is practically brand new. No dead pixels, 100% battery capacity with only 5 cycles, and 8 months of Lenovo warranty still.

Pretty happy with how this one turned out as I'd been wanting to stay on the legion train but the new ones I'd been seeing listed higher than I wanted to go.

Hello, so I have this laptop with intel 12700h, 3050ti 4gb and 16gb rams. The thing is, I try to play EA FC 27 and I run into issues. It used to lag very badly so I thought it was overheating or smth, I've been having this laptop for about 3 years already. So I had a new SSD laying around waiting for quite a while to be installed and decided to clean reinstall everything and put new thermalpaste. Opened the laptop, cleaned what was left of the stock thermal paste and applied the new one, put the new SSD inside and clean installed windows 11 and drivers.

Now, I try to play EA FC 27 and things are even worse. It played fine for a while, now after playing it for a bit, I get lags like the laptop won't use its power to play it. After I close the game, everything works very slow as if it's in eco-mode or smth, feels like the laptop is not plugged in. But if I restart the laptop everything returns to normal, applications open and close fluently and everything pretty much works as it should.

So, any ideeas what this could be? could somehow the laptop turn into eco-mode or smth while I'm in the game? idk what to do it's been quite a struggle to just play one game lol

Upgraded from an Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 with the Ryzen 9 4900HS and 2060 max-q card plus 16gb ram. Sold that for $375 after buying this so technically only spent $325. Got it used but it’s in great condition. How did I do? How big of an upgrade is this?
