I really don't get it. Nearly every post that came out when we saw the NCR at the end of the 2nd season said "oh I was hoping it was courier six!!!!"
Or people saying they hope the lone wanderer makes an appearance or something. I still see people saying they hope courier six is in the next season or something else.
Isn't the fun of an RPG that the character is supposed to be YOU and you can immerse yourself into the world? Why would you want your own choices and experiences in game boiled down to a moment on screen? Of course SOME things have to be made cannon/not cannon for the story to progress (see: fallout 2s telling of the vault dweller's actions from the first game)
But why would you want our character to appear at all? References are one thing, small hints are cool. But I think it would really ruin the experience of the old games if, for some reason, the player character shows up and does something the player didn't choose. This is one of the biggest problems I have with fallout 4, giving the player character a voice and a deceptive dialogue system. Problems every single other game (INCLUDING 76) did not have.
Part of the fun of the show for me is seeing this new story pan out in places that I can say "oh I was there, I did such and such. I was a part of this."

I’ve tried to get into it with 76, but I didn’t find too much interest. People still keep recommending it to me though, but I wanted to make sure I went in less blind. The only parts I’ve seen of Fallout (that ive liked) is the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stuff and the Power Armor.

I guess this is just something that’ll sit in my fridge now. I don’t know what I thought was going to be done with it 😂
I’m playing through for the first time with a zero gaming background and no spoilers at all, and this has been the best!

Power Armor is one of those things to me where less is more. When there is another kind of special-unique-T-67 amor it makes it less special.
Ranger Power Armor is good, it’s a new unique armor made from pre established pre war models. It’s a modified version of T-60 and T-45, and the NCR made their own modifications to the armor.
T-65 is kinda dumb to me. What do you mean that they added another super duper special secret service power armor to the lore that was made milliseconds before the bombs dropped. It’s not lore breaking, it’s just kinda dumb.
Hellcat armor literally has no lore. Not even a sentence to hint at its existence.
We don’t even know if the Chinese Communist power amor is considered canon or not.
I fear that Fallout is suffering from Power Armor bloat. We don’t need every new game to have its own special power armor. Hell, I feel like T-60 is kinda weird, but whatever.

I personally think the Fiends would win because Motor Runner is less of a nutcase and they have access to powerful weaponry, such as hunting rifles and plasma guns.

I really enjoyed the way you retrieve Dimas memories. It felt like a mini game. Honestly id love it if Bethesda (or any studio) made a separate game where it's just 100 lvls or so of just retrieving Dimas memories. I think it's a fun puzzle game
Edit: Damn didn't realize people hated it. To each their own but I enjoyed it

Had the blue tunic, yellow pants, and Pip-Boy, and my wife made the trim to make it Vault Suit-esque. Apart from the fur, the tunic, trousers, wraps, boots, and trim are all historic Norse "Viking" patterns and materials!
Put it all together for the Time Traveler's weekend at the local Ren Faire. Had a great time and got to see a bunch of other Fallout cosplays!

Goris, the intelligent deathclaw from Fallout 2, a new commission for Hyena87, I really liked the results of the scales, and hope the more gentle shape for the face isn't an obstacle to recognise the species he is (commissions still open)

Doesn't happen in every playthrough but this Ghoul, at Med-Tek Research, just chills on the table in the room before elevator takes you down onto the lower level. I just let it be since it's not agro

It's sort of a moral dilemma whether to side with Ashur or Wernher. I sided with Ashur. Although I understand why Wernher and the slaves want to rebel, And disagree with Ashurs' methods, I think his end goal is worth the sacrifice. Although it's disappointing that siding with Ashur means you can't get his armour. Because it's very cool

The gameplay of f76 is not something I enjoy but I do enjoy is lore and story. And I'm the past 8 years the game has had a lot of updates and story changes and I want to be able to hear as much of the lore and story in chronological order
