I don’t like the traditional way of storing CDs, where you can only see the spines of the cases with the album titles. I wanted to display my CDs like vinyl records, with the front covers facing outward. What do you think about this?

Just got a package from reality fade in the mail and noticed this album and another had these super dope designs on the data side of the discs. Never seen anything like it before.

I'm so happy to finally have these in my collection as these are so hard to come by online. Its both a shame and a blessing that shoppee thailand does not ship to my country because as much as I hate seeing the only listing for an album I like be on shoppee, I would go broke from ordering so much 😅

The floppy disk contained an interactive multimedia presentation created using Macromedia Director, featuring music samples and audio loops from the album, lyrics with interactive elements, animated visuals and imagery of Billy Idol, and biographical and album information. It also included an email address for Billy Idol. It many ways the release and the music were ahead of its time (as it came out in 1993).

Hello, so I'm new to this subreddit. To explain, I'm basically looking for a hard to find cd since it was released when the artist first debuted, and so he didn't release as many copies as he is now. The artist in question is joji, and I'm looking for BALLADS 1. The reason I'm looking for it is for a birthday gift for someone close to me (being vague in case he's in this subreddit), and I just want to know what the most trustworthy website is to buy something like that off of. When I go onto Google, I get suggested the discogs website, but I've never bought from there before, and I'm just hesitant to spend 70 bucks or so for a CD when I have no idea what it's going to be like once it arrives. I just wanted to see if I could get a second opinion on where to get it from, I get paid friday

Hey everyone, I am very curious about this “Linkin Park” cd I picked up at goodwill today. I am 99% sure it is a homemade bootleg because I cannot find any information about this, or any cover art that looks similar. What’s even more confusing is that the cd is blank. Any information on this will be appreciated. Thanks! 🤘

There was always something special n' definitely exciting when you had that band in your hand all wrapped up in that shrink wrap. A real killer to get it open if you didn't have anything sharp in the car. Lighter? Keys? Teeth!?! Even prior to this though is knowing that your favorite music store was now caring the album you desired and could get it at midnight. Even better, is when you actually waited 'til you got home to listen to the album through headphones on a cd player and laid in bed in the dark. If you knew your cd player like most music lover's that relied on those beautiful gadgets, you never fumbled with the buttons. They were an extension of your fingers basically. I miss those days... A favorite bands new release, Tower Records or local shop and drifting off in bed and replaying your fav tune over and over and over again. P.S. Sorry that I haven't a photo of my collection. It's dwindled, but seeing all these great photo's of other peep's collection has definitely lit a fire/desire. You guys are finding some incredible music at these thrifts and g-sales...and sometimes for free!

Picked up two Cantopop CDs at a thrift store for a dollar each and I realized the cases are a bit unorthodox. They are bulkier, have rounded corners, and kind of serve as a frame for the cover. Wondering if anyone has any info on these? Tried to reverse image search and found nothing. Seems like a cool find!
