I refuse to not see Pluto as a planet

That was my favorite planet, I understand why it is scientifically classified as a dwarf but I have my rights. Pluto has contributed to the solar system thing for long enough she’s important to me. She was my favorite planet as a kid and I felt my heart drop when they stole her title. Clearly loyalty doesn’t mean anything in this day and age. Pluto is and always will be my favorite planet.

Why are older women so attractive?

Is it just me, or are older women genuinely more attractive? There's something about the confidence, the maturity, and the way a woman carries herself that hits different. Curious what other people think about the age gap thing. What's the biggest age difference you've had between you and someone you were attracted to?

Ever since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to enjoy a perfect BLT sandwich. They look so good. The only issue is I just don’t like BLTs lmfao

Have you known someone who shills a product they don't understand at all for no reason?

My mom tells everyone to buy an InstaPot. She is obsessed with them, and keeps replacing hers with the newest model every time one comes out. She's been doing this for years.

After recently trying one out for the first time myself, I realized she does not at all understand how to use an instapot, and it seems to serve her absolutely no purpose?? She'll put a single potato in there to steam for 45 (forty-five) minutes!! It takes less time to boil them on the stove! You can finish a couple small potatoes in 10 minutes...

Have you known someone like this? Someone who is in love with a product they don't even know how to use?

Just Chatting People feel about their parents the way their parent made them feel about themsleves.

Ive seen this is true with every single one of my friends, i wonder if anyone else has a different outlook. If growing up, your parents made you feel like you were disgusting, in the process of healing you start thinking what disgusting parents you have. It's kinda cool what they projected onto you gets projected back at them. Their attitude towards you becomes your attitude towards them It's fascinating. For example if parents are nice to their children, help them hand through hardships of life, i think their children would grow up to try to return that behaviour. Am i wrong? Apologies if it's insensitive. But it has been true with everyone ive spoken to so far I'm curious if even 1 person differs in opinion 🩷

Thoughts & Ideas Not every hobby needs to become a side hustle.

Feels like the moment someone gets good at something, people start telling them to monetize it. Can’t we just enjoy being good at something without turning it into work?

what's the dumbest thing you've done while your brain was on autopilot?

i once put my phone in the fridge while making breakfast

didn't even realise until i was about to leave the house and couldn't find it anywhere

spent 15 mins checking my room, bag, pockets, even under the bed

eventually opened the fridge to grab water and there it was

sitting next to the eggs.

the worst part is i have absolutely no memory of putting it there!

please tell me someone else's brain has malfunctioned worse than this

Just Chatting I just realized I have absolutely no idea how to relax without a screen in front of me.

My internet went down for a few hours today and I just sat on my couch realizing I completely forgot what people do when there's no TV, phone or laptop. What do you guys actually do to unwind that doesn't involve staring at a glowing rectangle ?

A school activity from when I was 8 still lives rent-free in my head

When I was in Grade 3 or 4, we had a leadership training activity where we were blindfolded around the school grounds and had to find the exit.

I was one of the last few people to finish. Afterward, the woman in charge revealed that one person had refused help, and after everyone kept asking who it was, she eventually said it was me.

I honestly don't remember anyone offering to help. Maybe I was too focused on finding the exit. I was so embarrassed when everyone found out that I nearly cried, especially since I'm an introvert and I think some people teased me about it.

Now, in my early twenties, I realize I rarely ask for help because I don't want to bother anyone. I'm usually the one listening to other people's problems, but I can't even remember the last time I openly shared what's happening in my own life.

Do you think that childhood experience could be connected to how I am now? Or am I just overthinking a memory that happened when I was a kid? I'd love to hear your honest thoughts or similar experiences.

If animals could talk, which one would be the rudest? 😂

I feel like cats would be absolutely disrespectful for no reason.

Imagine feeding your cat its favorite food, and it looks you straight in the eyes and says, “That’s it? Bro, I’ve seen homeless pigeons eat better than this.”

Meanwhile, dogs would probably just scream “I LOVE YOU” every 5 minutes. 💀

Which animal do you think would have the worst personality if it could talk?

Just Chatting I have this weird rule for nights when I can't sleep

So on those nights when my brain just won't shut up, I decided that I can only think about things that happened yesterday or earlier. No planning tomorrow, no worrying about next week. Sounds pointless, right? But it sort of tricks my head into relaxing because there's nothing left to fix or figure out. Sometimes I end up replaying a conversation from lunch or remembering what the sky looked like on a walk. It still takes a while, but once my mind accepts that the future isn't allowed until morning, sleep feels a little closer. It's probably just me making up a bedtime superstition, but hey, it keeps the spinning thoughts in check.

Just Chatting What’s something you’ve deliberately started doing more slowly?

I’ve stopped rushing through my food shop. I used to treat it like a timed event, but wandering around for an extra ten minutes is strangely relaxing.

Just Chatting My wife and I are getting new phones after 6 whole years! What's the longest you've used a phone for?

Or, alternatively, what's the shortest you've held onto one?

My record shortest was a super cheap Blu Windows phone (which lasted a month before I gave up on it) lol. It was less than a hundred dollars so I wasn't too upset.

Just Chatting why does the right song suddenly make cleaning feel cinematic

so i put on a random playlist while wiping down the counters and the second track hit different. the chorus swelled and suddenly the whole kitchen felt like a movie scene, even though it was just me and a sponge. the next song was slower and the feeling slipped away, but for those two minutes it was weirdly satisfying. i ended up finishing the rest of the room without thinking about it. not sure why some tracks do that and others dont, but it made the chore feel bigger than it was. has that ever happened to you with something ordinary?

Questions Why has time felt faster since 2020?

Ever since 2020, the years have felt like they are going by faster, and I know I’m not the only one experiencing this.

I have researched this question, and I keep getting the same answers: repetitive routines, aging (time feels shorter as you get older), and the fact that not many “new” things have happened since 2020.

Some of these reasons do not apply to me because I was under 10 in 2020, meaning I am still growing and learning, and I am not old at all.

What I’m trying to understand is why someone my age perceives time as passing faster, just as adults do. Are there any other reasons besides the ones I listed?

One more thing: will time ever slow down? I’ve read that practicing mindfulness and spending less time on screens can help, but I don’t mean “time slowing down” for just a few minutes. I mean that I want to go back to the way time felt before 2020 (yes, I remember it).

Do people fall in love with people with chronic ilnesses

I am 26 and I have an autoimmune disease and my condition is somewhat worsening. Will someone ever love me? Or will I end up being alone? I have never fallen in love and having someone I can call mine really matters to me.

Just Chatting that one floorboard always gives me away at 3am

so there is this single floorboard right outside my bedroom that creaks like it is laughing at me whenever i step on it after midnight. i swear it only does it when the whole apartment is quiet and i am trying to sneak to the kitchen for water without waking anyone. it is almost like the house is keeping its own hours and reminding me it notices. the funny part is i keep telling myself i will remember exactly where it is next time and still manage to hit it every single time. it never fails to make me pause and feel a little ridiculous standing there in the dark smiling at the floor. does anyone else have a random sound in their place that shows up on its own schedule and feels like it has a personality?

What's a moment you randomly remember at night and immediately cringe?

You know those moments from years ago that randomly pop into your head when you're trying to sleep? 😂

Sometimes I wonder why my brain saves those memories in HD instead of remembering something useful.

What's one embarrassing moment your brain refuses to let you forget?

I’m collecting memes like a dragon collects gold 😂

I’ve recently realized that I’m slowly becoming a full-time meme collector. My gallery is full of random memes, and honestly, I need MORE. 💀

Send me the funniest memes you have. Dark humor, stupid memes, cursed images, brainrot, anything that made you laugh way harder than it should have.

I don’t care how unhinged they are. I just want to expand my collection. 😂

Just Chatting How hard is it to spontaneously hang out with friends once everyone is juggling work and adult life?

I am the kind of person who loved to hang out with friends and once in a while have epic get togethers but lately, life's been so busy with job, kids, family life that trying to plan a simple weekend catch-up feels like scheduling a corporate summit weeks in advance...It feels like ages since I last got to talk to my friends.

How do you and your friends manage to stay close when everyone's schedules are completely packed?

Just Chatting that quiet stretch of time right after i get home and drop my bag

every day i get back, set my keys on the counter, and just stand there for a second. shoes still on, jacket half off, the room exactly how i left it. it feels like the one spot in the day where nothing is pulling at me yet. i usually end up just sitting on the edge of the couch with my phone face down for a while, not scrolling, just kind of letting my shoulders relax. sometimes i kick off my shoes, sometimes i stay still and listen to the fridge humming. it is not exciting or even that interesting, but it always makes me feel like me again before i have to start the evening stuff.
