It’s breast cancer/breast health awareness month, so let’s talk about some benefits of breast massage! Whether done by yourself or by a licensed massage therapist, this massage addresses physical tension and mental disconnects in the area.
Legality
Here in Washington State, breast massage is legal and regulated. Licensed massage therapists can take extra training and be able to provide therapeutic touch to breast tissue, similarly to how they do to other areas like the back and the shoulders. Clients must give written and verbal consent before any massage on breast tissue, and can also request to see a copy of their therapist’s certification for breast massage.
General Breast Massage
Techniques like gently compressing, sliding, and kneading breast tissue alleviate tenderness, density, and heaviness associated with swelling. It only takes a few minutes of intentional touch to make the breasts feel lighter and more comfortable.
Scar Breast Massage
Just like other areas of the body, breast tissue is susceptible to tight, restrictive scarring. Surgeries, radiation, and injuries can trigger scars and fibrosis which reduce arm and shoulder movement. Targeted scar massage unwinds this stuck tissue, melts the adhesions, and restores range of motion. Techniques like circular friction, shearing, and lifting the scar tissue work best.
Self Breast Massage
Working on your own breasts can feel incredibly liberating! Being able to relieve your own tenderness and swelling during hormonal shifts is so empowering. It also creates the opportunity to monitor lumps and detect changes. And for some people, self massage is an important step on the journey to reclaim their bodies.
Professional Breast Massage
However, some people are not comfortable massaging their own breast tissue, aren’t sure what to do, or would rather trust a professional to evaluate and treat the area for them. Professional breast massage can be lymphatic and gentle to relieve general tenderness and density; or it can be targeted and specific to address problem areas like scars and radiation fibrosis.

Hi I know this is a long shot but I think my favorite ring slipped off my hand yesterday morning (10/14) at Lake Padden probably around the main loop. It’s the ring seen in this picture, gold colored with a coiled pattern. It’s not worth anything monetarily and will turn your finger green (don’t worry that’s just paint on my hand in the photo lol) but I’ve had this ring for forever and am attached to it and really hope it’s not gone 😔 if you find it pleaaaasse reach out I will take you out for a drink or some such thing. In the meantime I hope it turns up somewhere like it usually has in the past. Thank you in advance and please drive with your lights on in the fog and dark!!

I will keep this short and sweet. The McDonald's/Sinclair/Chipotle parking lot outlet needs to be a controlled intersection with a traffic light, similar to Fred Meyer's on Lakeway. I know that being stuck behind a red light sucks, but rush hour traffic accidents suck worse.

I know skagit switched to encrypted but all I see is that whatcom is still unencrypted. However, when I try and listen as of this month they are suddenly offline and have a message about not wanting broadcastify to use them. I've tried multiple avenues to be able to listen.

I live very close to Memorial Park. Pedal E bikers, mostly parents, have carved an entire trail up though the middle of the park . If you see this and you do this please stop. It takes an.extra 30 seconds to get up there from the street and it doesn't ruin a beautiful park that's a memorial to citizens who lost their lives in the countless wars our government sent them off to.

Because it’s been a bit since someone has asked something similar, who do you think has the best sandwiches in town? Looking especially for places that are open later than standard lunch hours.

The Traveller
Eternal blessings crown my earliest friend,
And round his dwelling guardian saints attend.
Blest be that spot, where cheerful guests retire
To pause from toil, and trim their evening fire;
Blest that abode, where want and pain repair,
And every stranger finds a ready chair;
Blest be those feasts with simple plenty crowned,
Where all the ruddy family around
Laugh at the jests or pranks that never fail,
Or sigh with pity at some mournful tale;
Or press the bashful stranger to his food,
And learn the luxury of doing good.

Is it possible to get close to the ship to just look at it? Is that allowed? Is this a dumb question? I just really really like naval ships and I want to be able to walk by it and take a picture. If it's not possible to walk beside it where would be the best place to just look at it from afar and respectfully?

I am portrait and headshot photographer that moved to Bellingham a couple of years ago and I want to be doing more photography. I now realize that I am not probably going to be able to make it a business here, but I *need* to be shooting. I am offering free images.
What that might mean for you is a free portrait or headshot. I work with black and white film or digitally, and can come to you or shoot in a public setting. I am distinctly un-creepy and interested in shooting solo subjects that are clothed. (No weddings, family group shots, or engagements.) Please message me if you'd like to chat about working together. I am especially interested in period cosplay and vintage fashion. The only thing that I would ask in return is that you would release the photos to me so that I could use them for portfolio purposes.
HMU. If I get flooded with messages, which is doubtful, I may not be able to answer all queries. My profile has a link to my website, and this profile was created for this express purpose.

For this Bham-based techno-nerd born in the '80s, I feel like it's like a game of whac-a-mole when it comes to staying safe online. I feel I've set up pretty secure digital parameters and safeguards for my family's home network, my Internet-facing servers, my phone.. but there's always some new emerging threat that can and should be mitigated against. When I think about those who don't have my kind of background or passion for this kind of stuff, I just want to offer my help.
I'm curious what everyone here thinks about mostly when it comes to safeguarding themselves online and IRL. I've got projects in the pipeline and even more ideas for solutions, but what are your top concerns? Is it AI, identity theft, malware, cloud services scanning your personal files, intrusive personalized ads and smart TVs phoning home about your interactions, home Wi-Fi Internet gateways acting as motion-detecting spies? Genuinely not trying to fear-monger or sound like a conspiracy nut, though I'm sure it sorta sounds like it 😂
If anyone wants to PM me to inquire about my consultancy and what I can do for you or your business, I'd love to hear from you. Otherwise, comment here and I'll do my best to keep a fun and informative thread going. I've got a job here shortly but am looking forward to the feedback.
