Am I being a baby for dreading and complaining about a 8.5km (one way) (8.5x2 round trip) daily bike ride commute? This is after a 30mins train (no complaints about this). This ride is killing me a little, it takes me 45mins. I’m f29, still pretty health. But I’m constantly worried about safety and physical capabilities, because somedays I just don’t feel physically fit for the commute but I’m fit enough to sit at my desk and work. When it’s that time of the month I’m also dealing with the cold, cramps and lightheadedness. But I choose this, to be here , as I knew Belgium was a bike culture country,so I don’t know if I need to toughen up and adapt to the culture or my feelings are valid. p.s this is the only commute option to get there, there is no alternative public transport.

Anybody else thinking about Verhofstadt?

We zouden graag regelmatig spelen, liefst meerdere keren per maand (wekelijks of tweewekelijks).
---------------
My husband (36) and I (37) are looking for a new group to play D&D with regularly as players, as our existing group recently stopped playing. We both have over 5 years of experience with D&D 5E, my husband as both a DM and a player, me only as a player.
We'd prefer a group with people in a similar age range (30–40), but we're also definitely open to younger players and groups, as long as everyone is an adult. We don't mind what experience level the other players or DM have. We're happy to host sessions at our place; the only requirement is being comfortable around cats (we have 5 ). Other than our cats, we don't have any kids, so aside from occasional family commitments, we have plenty of time for D&D.
We're also open to trying out other systems, we'd just have to discuss which ones in particular.
We'd love to play regularly, preferably multiple times a month (weekly or biweekly). Friday evenings and weekends would be ideal.
Neither Dutch nor English is a problem for us, and we're perfectly happy to play in entirely English-speaking sessions as well.

Hi. I agreed a purchase from a big Mercedes dealer in Belgium, brussels. VAT reclaimable and as I live in Norway for export this is good. Price was 89.000 euros , 74.000 euros ex vat. Agreed to buy with no discount full price, the seller congratulated me on the purchase by email and told me he will arrange for VAT papers for export and VAT refund. Then the day after , he says we are so sorry but there is no vat on this car according to our accountant, we are sorry but sometimes this happens with computer systems etc. but the car was advertised with vat excluded, we agreed a deal etc. But no written contract . Are they liable for breaking their agreement? I still want the car for the agreed 74.000 euro netto price . They refuse and say its 89.000 now

We'll be flying (from US) into Amsterdam, and the same day taking the train to Antwerp where we will stay for 16 days. Our hotel is very close to Antwerp Central Station. We want to have a mix of relaxing and seeing the sights and surrounding towns/cities. We aren't interested in "nightlife", but want to focus on art, architecture, history and food. We're 2 folks in our mid-60's. After our time in Antwerp, we'll be taking the train to Rotterdam for two cruises, with one night in Rotterdam between cruises.
So far, I've identified a few places we'd like to visit on day trips: Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, and Mechelen. If I'm having a good high-energy day, I would love to go to Amsterdam to Rijksmuseum and/or Van Gogh Museum. Between cruises when we're in Rotterdam, I'd love to visit Delft.
I'm looking for help planning the day trips (as well as Antwerp itself), keeping in mind that I have low energy and walk slowly. A combination of trains and strolling along is what I imagine, with stops for meals, coffee, etc. Any insight, tips, warnings, other places to visit that fit my limitations, etc would be most appreciated.

Hi Belgians!
I live in Germany and I'm very excited about my new BYD Sealion 7. I'm following the car carrier BYD CHANGZHOU (IMO 9955076), which is currently in Zeebrugge, and I'd love to see it for real.
It's a ~200 m ship with BYD lettering, moored in the southern part of the port at the tip of a long quay (about 3 km SE of Zeebrugge town and ~2 km east of Lissewege, per MarineTraffic). It will probably leave around 15 Oct.
If you live nearby and can take a photo I'd be super grateful. Thank you!

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Belgian ambassador to Moscow, Michel Gerebtzoff (pictured left), over “anti-Russian statements” made by the Belgian authorities, the Russian state news agency TASS has reported, citing the ministry.
