Scalini- any coeliacs/gluten ffee people tried it?
If so- do they have a dedicated gluten free pizza oven? I saw on the ‘Find me GF’ app that someone said they do, but I don’t wanna get my hopes up just to get my heart broken over pizza again 💔 I’m bad with cross contamination, and can’t seem to find anywhere that has a separate oven.
Also- do they have any vegan options? (for my friend)
Thank you! ☺️

Original internal doors
I’ve bought a house and every joiner that has came in has told me “they’re the original doors, they’re worth a fortune” any time I’ve mentioned I want new doors. Long story short I’m still getting new doors.
I was wondering if anyone may know of a company that would purchase these doors off us? Instead of just running them to the dump

Spar washing pods
Really random one. Does anyone know which spars in Belfast still have the washing pods on offer, can’t seem to find any?

Unidentified Flag
Does anyone know what this flag is?
I’m assuming its for a sports club rather than a Ukraine flag from Temu 😂
They’re on the Lisburn Road (Belfast) if that matters.

Ride share.
Is there anyone who lives in central/ south belfast and travels to and from Antrim everyday?
I (24F) need a lift 3x a week and I’m willing to pay a reasonable amount.
You can drop me off at work and pick me up and I’m flexible time wise to be there from 7:30 to 9 so whichever suits.
I don’t have money for a cab every day and I’m doing an internship and the winter is gonna be rough oopsie.

Housing Executive Advice
I’ve been told that I’m not eligible to buy my flat under the RTB scheme bc my tenancy (11yrs) isn’t long enough.
I’ve lived here with my father who passed last year so I only became a sole tenant last year as I’m not very old and only started to work in 2024.
I’ve a decent job now and know they’re changing the scheme so want to buy as it was his wish since he didn’t have much.
I’ve been told I don’t have a right to buy the flat despite the fact I’ve been here with my dad for 11 years.
Can I fight this?

Driving Instructor Recommendations - South Belfast Area
Hiya ,
I've recently started undertaking driving lessons here, but after 8 lessons (manual) I've decided I wanna change my driving instructor, so I'm wondering if there's any good driving schools/instructors in the South Belfast area. (Under Acclaim for 8 lessons, but the instructor rushes, drives a bit aggressive, and gets annoyed at the simplest of mistakes)
And for any experienced drivers what's the sweet spot for the amount of lessons taken, as I don't have a car to practise with and live alone, compared to my family which lives down south. Thanks!

Queens Boarding Scheme / Admin Officer
Is anyone on the Queens Boarding Scheme / Admin Officer panel? I have passed the interview, I'm wondering if I am likely to be placed soon and what people have experienced in terms of waiting times on this panel? How often roles like this in Queens become available? Thanks

Team Christmas lunch
Anyone have any recommendations for a corporate lunch for Christmas time? Or even a fun activity? In around the city centre would be great. For a team of about 15. Any recommendations at all would be appreciated!

Capping the Westlink
Every so often this comes up.
Philadelphia is another city trying to hide the scars left by a major motorway cutting through it, with an 11.5-acre park(https://www.parkatpennslanding.com/) being built over the I-95.
Belfast could do something similar by covering the Westlink between Divis Street and Clifton Street, reconnecting communities and creating new green space.
What do you think?

Conflicting information from PSNI and DVA NI regarding first MOT due on a new car?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some clarity on the current MOT laws in Northern Ireland, as I’ve just called both the MOT booking line (DVA) and the police Fixed Penalty Office, and they gave me completely conflicting information.
My situation:
- I have a brand new car that is coming up to its very first MOT.
- The first MOT is due in November 2026.
- The earliest appointment I could secure anywhere is January 2nd, 2027
However, when I rang the police on 101 and spoke to the Fixed Penalty Office, they explicitly told me that this is no longer the case.
Because it’s a new car hitting its first ever MOT milestone, does anyone actually know what the law says right now? Am I going to get fined if I drive it between November and January?

Norway Flags
I always notice NI flags and its derivatives, loyalist paramilitary flags, union flags, the usual, but had noticed some Norway flags recently in areas around the shankill road. What would be the reason for that? Also saw a flag with a print of a real picture of a lion on a flag today.

So the down escalator in the Donegal Place Boots has been out of order for what seems like years, does anyone know what's going on?

Bring Melody Malubay home
instagram.comHi all,
A vulnerable young girl has gone missing from my locality in Dublin. She's believed to be in Belfast, if anyone has any information that could help get her home safe and sound, either the Gardaí or the PSNI can be contacted, I've linked an article with more details

Off the beaten path, away from the tourist zone, old and run down - but welcoming to a respectful solo visitor PUBS, and places with local eats.
Hi.
I have glanced through an earlier post on pubs/bars/taverns in Belfast and environs. I am fearful that a pub on the aforementioned thread may be more directed to a night-life seeker, young professional. Late night discos and ravs are not my style.
I, on the other hand, am a mid-aged Californian who wants to meet locals and talk about things that I may not initially understand about the local history and times of folks my age (60) - and older.
Please, Kindly offer to me some suggested pubs and eats that are not touristy. I am solo and going around NI by bus. Peasant class - not cruise ship or Hilton high-end hotel type.
I am in Belfast in two weeks. Love to talk - share pint rounds with those that like all of that sort of thing. Old crumudgeons are welcomed.
Thanks for your off the wall suggestions as to places, local areas that will get me off the main drag; where I can probably feel comfortable if I keep my mouth shut hahaha.
Cheers
Jimmy

What are the flags along Balmoral Avenue?
they seem to have been put up in the middle of Sunday night, and they are the Ukrainian colours bjt the stripes are vertical instead of horizontal.

Book clubs?
Hey folks.
Just a quick question, does anyone know any good book clubs that are near city centre at all and don’t mind a fella tagging along (if that’s comfortable)
Also a club where you can head in and read your own book and not selected book of the month genre? Thank you!

What is the significance of the blue and yellow flags that are being put up in South Belfast?
I thought they were Ukraine flags but they are the wrong alignment (colour blocks are side by side rather than top and bottom).
There are a few Irish counties that have that flag but it seems unlikely that the people of Roscommon/wicklow/ Tipperary/ Longford are putting them up in such numbers.
I saw some young lads putting them up. They’ve been busy! There are loads.
