Flying Tesla!

For about 5 days now, I’ve been on a relentless search to make my game run smoothly with graphics at least set to NORMAL. My game had massive FPS drops, CPU usage never went above 20%, and GPU usage never exceeded 50%. My specs are a XEON E5 2699 V3 / 32GB RAM / RTX 4070 OC. I researched a ton, and every single answer I got was that the bottleneck was because of the Xeon—even though my CPU has 18 cores running at 3.5GHz. Even on the lowest graphics settings, the stuttering was unbearable. I kept testing different things until I found one setting I turned off that almost completely stopped the stuttering—it reduced it by easily around 80%. It's something super simple that might be the cause of your problem too:

TURN OFF FREESYNC ON YOUR MONITOR

I have no fucking clue why this had such an impact, but in my case, it was genuinely what was causing the issue. After turning it off, I managed to reach 99% GPU usage, and the CPU is finally going above 20%. If you're experiencing severe stuttering regardless of your graphics settings, give this method a try.

POTENTIAL ISSUES AFTER DISABLING IT:

In my case, when I turned off FreeSync, the game's UI completely disappeared, even after restarting the game. To fix it, simply press F5 to reload it, and it will start working normally.

Stock 4.1L D15's with welded 4.10's. This mod is so rad, I have poo poo internet so drifting online is not always the best experience. It's also hard to find people that build similar power/style cars to me when I do play online and I can't use all my cool wheel mods. With this mod those things are no longer a worry! This is how I've been spending my last few night since the mod came out lol.

Hot take, I think the menu music gets old and repetitive pretty fast.

I was literally counter-tilting my head when cornering at the extremes of lean angle, just to see what's ahead. Then I remembered I had the EIC mod!

Just set the "horizon lock" to your liking to keep the pilot's head oriented more parallel to the road, it makes a HUGE difference for cornering vision.

Love how the pilot counter-balances to stay upright at low speed turns, but leans the head & body into the turn at higher speeds to keep the bike more upright, another great realistic touch!
