finance How to prepare for unemployment in Bangkok?
I(28M) just moved to Bangkok and started building my life and really enjoying the convenience, activities and food that this city has to offer. Then, out of nowhere, I got bad performance reviews from my boss twice and things are not going very well as in I am constantly being scrutinized for mistakes and publicly being told not to make mistakes, be careful etc.
In next couple of weeks, I am not so sure whether I will be able to tolerate the feedback they give publicly or might get fired 🫠. These days have been super stressful and resentful as well. Looking for another role is also not an option cuz job market is tough and no jobs will pay me nearly this amount(Not that good salary) for my skills 😰😰.
Living here in Bangkok costs way too much. I am targeting to spend 30k a month which would be 360000 THB a year. Even in a year, I am not sure if I can get another job. I am being realistic cuz I see others in same industry with good skills being unemployed for months.
I am also not willing to burn through 360000 THB living here although this city enhances my life quality in so many ways.i can go back home and reduce the spendings to just 0. But, life is super depressing.
I think I just wanted to get it off my chest and get some ideas on what to do. I see a lot of people move here without a job, come to live here to figure out next stage of life etc. Any advise or ideas are appreciated.
