Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out if my liquid temps are normal or too high, and whether my radiator placement is the problem.
CASE PHOTO + TOP CASE (Click me)
Setup:
- CPU: i9-13900K (PL1/PL2 limited to 150 W, -0.050 V offset)
- Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT (360 mm), mounted on top, fans set as [intake/exhaust]
- Case: NZXT H9 Elite (solid tempered glass top) - Radiator on top (3 fans, exhaust). The top exhaust path is restricted: the only vent is a perforated strip next to the I/O. The top glass above the radiator is warm; the rest of the case glass stays cool.
- GPU: RTX 5080 (undervolted, ~250 W in load)
- Fans: 7 Corsair RGB fans via iCUE LINK (3 bottom, 3 side, 1 rear)
- Case fans and radiator fans:
- 3 bottom fans: intake
- 3 side fans: exhaust
- 3 radiator fans (top-mounted 360 mm radiator): exhaust
- 1 rear fan: exhaust
- Room temp: ~23°C
Liquid temps (iCUE sensor):
- Idle: 39-42°C (about 16-19°C above room temp)
- Heavy gaming: 52-54°C
Fan curve is based on the liquid temp, starting around 28% PWM.
My questions:
- Are these coolant temps normal for this cooler, or too high?
- Known issue with the H9 Elite top radiator exhaust being restrictive. Is it worth moving the radiator to the side, or is 52-54°C acceptable here?
Thanks!
