Not Answered rx 9070xt with i5 12400 GTA 6 2K ULTRA SETTINGS

ok its a long story and i need help

i have rtx 3050 i5 12400 16 gb or ram evga 700bq and a 2k monitor

i like to play triple AAA games on ultra settings

i want to play gta 6 when it comes out at 2k ultra settings

that is the main reason i am upgrading

i have 1300$ usd to try to do that

EDIT i can buy a combo of microcenter but this option is only available till november of this year as my friend will be out of the usa

i wanted rtx 5070 ti but its overpriced idk if buying it now to rely on dlss in the future or just buy a new gpu then

plus lowkey i dont wanna miss on dlss mfg dlss5 emulators anyps5 project but damn it is overpriced

the psu should i upgrade it or choose a 2 8 (6+2) pin rx 9070 xt

should i sell my cpu motherboard (which i have no experiance in selling btw) to get a good am4 cpu like ryzen 7 5700 x3d or just upgrade to a i5 14th gen to try to stay on lga 1700

of course ddr5 isnt an option rn so

is it even necessery to upgrade my cpu

as i said i really want to play GTA6 and other openwold games like CRIMSON DESERT on 2k ultra settings

side note i am used to doing that on my rtx 3050 relying on dlss and i am usually ok with 40 50 fps recent games that became soooo hard even for me to accept

sorry for taking much of your time and THANK YOU in advance

Not Answered Question about GPU's. Nvidia or other.

The current pc I use for gaming is getting kinda old. I might get a new one when I get the money to do so but something's been nagging me, Which GPU should I be looking for? I know Nvidia is an obvious choice but they're kind expensive. Any alternatives to Nvidia GPUs with the same performance but a lower price?

Not Answered Beginner-friendly PC games to get into gaming? Preferably free

Hey everyone! I recently got a new gaming laptop(my first ever gaming laptop) with a Ryzen 7 H-series processor, RTX 4050, and 16GB RAM.

I've mostly watched gameplay over the years, but I've barely played games myself. I have some childhood memories of watching my siblings play GTA vice City on our family PC, and occasionally getting to drive around myself.

Now I want to actually get into PC gaming, but I'm struggling with basic controls, especially moving around while controlling the camera, and I keep getting stuck.

What games would you recommend for someone who's basically a complete beginner? Preferably free-to-play, so I can try a few games and figure out what I enjoy.

Not Answered Laptop froze when installing roblox

Hi

I'm trying to install Roblox on my laptop, but when the installation was almost complete, my laptop froze, and I had to force it to shut down. I then tried downloading Roblox from the Microsoft Store. The download completed and the game launched, but my laptop froze again when Roblox started loading.

Does anyone know what might be causing this problem and how I can fix it?

Something that I really like is play like a chill game with some video/podcast or whatever in the background (2nd monitor) but I’m about to get a ps5. I believe that the way to do that is: main monitor -> PS5 and second monitor ->PC but what about the audio? Is the only option to get a $180 wireless headphone with capability of 2.4 and Bluetooth simultaneously?
I’ve searched for cheaper options but nothing found, does anybody know a different way or some cheaper headphones?

Not Answered Total newbe to PC gaming. Looking for advice

So me and my son are casual gamers. Now that winter is coming and we have more time inside I'm looking to possibly do some PC gaming.

We like to play FPS. Or stuff like GTA. We play alot of CoD WW2 on Xbox local play.

I did join steam and downloaded RedDead Redemption. Havent gotten to play yet.

I guess my question is what games are out there that him and I can play together at the same time on our computer.

Any recommendations for controllers to use?

Would I need to run 2 monitors?

Not Answered Looking for a PC that can run modded RDR2 and heavily modded Sims 4? (and perhaps more?)

Hi all!!!

I am a TOTAL noob to gaming PCs but I'm really really hoping to upgrade to a proper gaming PC with some birthday money and some Christmas money. I'm 18 this year so I'll probably get a decent amount to spend on a PC for myself with any luck

I currently have an Acer Thinkpad T480 that runs low-power games pretty well and somehow powers through the Sims 4 with a shit ton of mods and CC. But it also lags like crazy and breaks a lot so I'm just going to bite the bullet and get a proper PC. Like I said, I'm a complete noob, I know jack shit about gaming PCs or how they work exactly. I also have no idea know how powerful a PC has to be to do what I listed in the title.

Out of curiousity I added up the specs of the PC of the YouTuber JustPeachy (who makes a lot of videos of heavily modded Sims, RDR2, and Minecraft, pretty much exactly the kind of thing I want to do myself) which she has listed on her Discord and the amount totaled to over 4,500 euro. I do not have that kind of money nor will I ever lmao.

But if anyone could tell me where to even begin? Would a pre-built PC work or should I just buy a list of parts (for cheap enough hopefully....) and send it off to get built by someone (not a chance in hell I'm going to let myself screw it up somehow)?

Sorry for the broad question, I really haven't a clue lol. Thanks for any help :)

Not Answered Budget gaming PC/laptop Advice please!

So I’m looking to get back into play sims and Minecraft, since my last laptop broke. I’m not a hardcore gamer so I want to get a desktop PC or a laptop that’s not that expensive. I’m not too bothered about downloading a crazy amount of CC, I just want a PC that will support the base game and my expansion packs.
I was looking at the VenoScorp PC bundles as a budget way to have a set up. I was looking at the bundles under £400. As I know I can make upgrades down the line.
I also don’t know whether there are laptops that can support the game at this budget either.
Please help

Not Answered suggestions of good games for gameplays within a low-spec PC

PC SPECS:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: NVIDIA GT 1030
RAM: 16GB 2666Hz
(i dont count with an ssd for fast downloads btw)

i want to hear your suggestions on what to play on stream (no sponsoring, this profile is no linked to any social media btw)... literally i have to do ancient sorcery with this pc to go live XD, so some "old" games with great history, good gameplay and interesting mechanics are open, im a really open minded gamer so i can play anything that seems/feels fun so really any suggestions are really helpful!

Hello everyone ,

I jus bought a legion i5 with oled 165 hz, 5070 rtx and i9 processor.

My questions is. My laptop display built in is 2k resolution but during playing games i use 1080 p resolution (in game resolution) is that safe? Or would it damage my laptop display?

Not Answered Buying a new pc (stationary?)

Right now I'm using an 8 year old portibable pc, it's good enough for most games BUT! I want a new one since it's basicly falling apart, and been thinking of buying a stationary. MY GOAL is to play ARK without getting really annoyed and closing the game due to not being able to run it properly. I also NEED AT LEAST 900GB. I don't want my budget to go over 3000 dollars. Here are some questions I also have:

What are important things to look for? Is it CPU or GPU, and so on? I don't know much

Is a stationary pc better than a portable pc? I've heard it's cheaper??

What is a good GPU, and what even is a GPU exactly? It's hard to find answers

Please add anything if there is something you think I should keep in mind. Thanks a lot
